This week's Discussion of the Week will be on Ekta Kapoor Shows and their stories. They start out as cute and unique concepts but alwyas end up turning into a drag after 3 months. Still, many of us are still hooked to them. The Best example is Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi. Despite all its criticism, the show still has the highest TRP's.

What mistakes do most Balaji writers make?

Why are they still addicting to most of us?

Ekta is not in charge of the storyline. Yet, we always blame her for all the mishaps on the show. Why???

We are indeed and they are cute...thats how they work they get us hooked till we cannot leave😃

Lol wrong person to answer but i think they do do their job which is to get us hooked and watching their shows. I think the thing they do wrong is the way they potray relationships at times that i dont like

Simply i think firstly is the acting the people in the shows are always loved and keep the viewers hooked as well as the characters they potrayed.Secondly is the fact that they throw in twists at just the right time so keep us hooked well for me anyways

ummm i dont know... cuz i used to watch them a few months ago... but now they're tooo silly adn stupid(no offence to anyone) soo dont watch them anymore... i do watch remix re-run and instant khichadi..which has has gone off air for sometime...😭😭

i have to say the only reason i watch KSBKT righ now is b/c i didnt watch in the its earlier days. its the same twists again but its new for me

they're addicting b/c of the the twists. it creates suspense which we al llike. yes we need twists and suspense, but it doesnt have to be the same twists over and over again.

very honestly i'd want to end kyunki. kayamath is going great for now. I do alot of fixing to KAA. if it were up to me, i think i'd change the entire storyline while keeping the basic plot the same and it is possible b/c i thought about it before😆

I personally think our stories, atleast the ones i read are far to good to be made into a indian soap. they are very good to read but if made into an indian show ppl wont rly liek em cuz there isnt enough twists in it. There are meant to be read and so theres the beginings the climax and resolution, thats the basic format. with shows esp u need liek 50 climaxes😆 so from the ones i read which is liek only 2 and sumtimes 3 i wudnt say any. and mines arent good ff's only, thet'y do horrible as a show😆

The mistake of showing innumerous affairs............and too predictable saazish............dragging in a rape in every serial.............in every show the girl is a middle class one married to a super-rich guy............in every show she has to make the lead pair play hide and seek for a year before they finally meet..............and oh gawd!!!!! the innumerous shaadis...........good lord all her characters get married if they have nothing else to do..............its like a tme-paas 4 them.............if u r bored, then go get married...........huh!!!!! crap!!!!!!!

Obviously coz of the actors..............even if she makes crazy,meaningless shows, i think she introduces superb actors,............thats one thing i m thankful to her for..................she introduces rocking actors.......like , Rajeev Khandelwal😳,Hiten Tejwani😉,Iqbal Khan😛 ,Manoj Bohra😊,Chaitanya😉,Shabbir😃...........hehe............thats the only reason which can make me watch a ekta show......but presently im not hooked on to any show of hers...............all of them are at irritating points presently.....

Coz she approves them.........the final decision is hers.............the creatives narrate the concept to her n she approves it.................if she gets all the name-fame-money n appreciation if a show does well....................then she is the one who should get the gaalis😆 n brickbats😉 as well............she's the boss...................she supervises everything.........

Well i think there will be two of them................i wud not want them to be produced by ekta coz she would use her own logic there too n spoilt these wonderful stories....................my most loved ff's are wat i would want to be turned into stories...........

I just love these fan-fics ,they are amazing and deserve to be made into grand serials................but plzzzzzzz not ekta.............she'll spoil them totally............hey yashraj is getting into tv production i heard................y not try there😉

Hmmm...😆! What a discussion! 😆

Well firstly Ekta Kapoor is always blamed because she is solely responsible for ALL the Balaji shows so it just makes it easier! But personally I love her for bringing Ronit onto television 😳😆!

Umm...Always I think Balaji are doing nothing wrong...because despite the fact that we critisize the programmes sooo much we all still watch them which is why the Trp's are sky high! And so with everyone hooked...They must be going down the right track!

Lastly...I think Sukhi's (ronitfan) FF is the best everrrr...And I would love to see Balaji enact her FF!
