Angad doesn't reply but instead turns around and walks to Naina, Prithvi looks at Suyesh

P - sorry dad...

Prithvi smiles lightly and turns and follows Angad

~*~Part 18~*~

Angad slammed the door to his room shut and sat on his bed hoping to be left alone, but to his disappointment the door opened and shut, Angad looked up to find Prithvi standing there

P - voh kya tha?

A - please Prithvi, mujhe akela chord de

P - pehle mere sawal ka jawab de! tune dad ke saath aisa kyun behave kiya?

A - tu kuch nahin jaanta

P - haan main kuch nahin jaanta, sirf yehi ke ek saal pehle sab kuch teek tha tere ayr dad ke beech? kya hua is ek saal mein ke tu dad se....

A - nafrat karta hoon us aadmi se

P - Angad!

A - kya hua? tu tho keh raha tha ke sach sun na chahta hai....tho sun!

Angad stands up and faces the window

A - jab humhe teri mauth ki khabar mili tho main dad ke paas gaya tha sahare ke liye

**flashback**

Angad enters his dad's house and looks for him

A - dad

Suy - Angad tum yahan?

A - haan dad.....ghar par dil nahin lag raha

Suy - hmm

Suyesh sits down next to his son and comforts him when

??? - papa!!!! kahan ho aap?

Angad's eyes are wide open, he looks towards the door

?? - oh aap yahan hai....

Suyesh stands up and looks at Angad then at the other guy standing at the door, the mystey guy steps inside and hugs Suyesh then looks at Angad

??? - hi...papa, yeh kaun hai?

A - tum kaun ho?

??? - me? I'm Neev

Angad looks at Neev then at Suyesh

A - yeh aapko papa kyun keh raha hai?

Ne - well duh agar yeh mere papa hai tho main papa hi kahoon ga

A - tumhara full naam kya hai?

Ne - Neev Khanna

A - ....kitne saal ke ho?

Ne - abhi do hafte pehle, I turned 21

A (thinks) - 21......

Suy - Neev...tum bahar jao

Ne - ok....but....yeh kaun hai?

Neev looks at Angad, who looks disheartened

Suy - Neev bahar jao

Neev leaves the room, Suyesh faces Angad

Suy - Angad beta....

A - bas dad bas....voh ikees (21) ka hai dad, I'm 26, voh mujhse panj saal chota hai dad.....

Suy - Angad.....

A - aapka aur mom ka divorce tho mere birthday ke baad hua tha....jab main naun saal ka tha.....

Angad backs away from his dad

A - kya mom yeh jaanti hai? ke aapka ek aur beta bhi hai?

Suy - ....haan issi baat ko lekar tho humhara divorce hua tha

A - aur aapne mujhe nahin bataya? kya bhai ko maloom tha?

Suy - nahin Kunal ko kuch nahin maloon tha....hmain nahin chahta tha ke jaise tumhari maa mujhe chordke chale gayi th vaise tum aur Kunal mujhe chordke jao

A - tho aap itne saal humse sach chupate aaye? aapse yeh umeed nahin thi dad

Angad turns to leave the room but sees Neev standing outside

A - agar himmat hai tho usse sach bata dena......agar usse kisi aur jaaga se pata chal gaya tho voh aapse utni nafrat karega jitni ke main karta hoon

Angad leaves the room and bumps into Neev

Ne - oops...sorry dude

Angad looks at Neev and finds him a bit similiar to himself, he brushes it off and leaves

**Reality**

P - maana ke mom se yeh sab chupake unho ne tab galat kiya....lekin mom aur unka divorce ho chuka hai Angad...dad ko poora haq hai apni zindagi jeene ka

A - main kab rok raha hoon? voh kam se kam mujhe ya bhai ko bata sakte the, agar bhai yahan hote tho voh mujhse bhi zyada gussah hote

P - magar bhai yahan nahin hai, Angad meri baat maan, dad se naraz mat ho

Angad ignores Prithvi

P - Angad....

Sujal enters the room, Prithvi goes silent

S - kya hua?

P - kuch nahin....chalo party mein, Angad meri baatein par gor karna

Prithvi and Sujal leave a confused Angad, Kripa enters the room and puts her hand on his shoulder

K - tumne mama ko bataya ke tum jaante ho?

A - nahin....kaise bata sakta hoon.....unke zakhm taza nahin karna chahta

K - haan lekin mama pooch rahi hai ke tumne aisa kyun kiya?

Angad hugs Kripa and buries his head in her shoulder

A - kuch samaj mein nahin aa raha

K - tho iske baare mein socho mat

A - kaise? Prithvi chahta hai ke main dad se naraz na ho.....kaise na hoon

There is a knock on the door, Kripa opens it and faces Neev

A - tum yahan kya kar rahe ho?

Ne - voh main.....papa ke saath aaya tha.....

K - Angad yeh kaun hai?

A - ....Neev.....Neev Khanna, dad ka beta

K - oh, andhar aao Neev

Kripa leads Neev inside

K - main Angad ki biwi hoon..

Ne - Kripa..main janta hoon, papa ne bataya tha

Neev faces Angad

Ne - kya main aapse baat kar sakta hoon? akele mein?

A - hmm Kripa tum neeche jao, bachon ko samal lo

Kripa smiles at Neev and leaves the room

A - kaho kya baat hai?

Ne - papa bata rahe the ke aap unse naraz ho

A - haan hoon....

Ne - lekin papa ki galti kya hai?

A - galti kya hai? kya tumhe bura nahin laga, yeh pata lag ke ke tumhare papa tumhari maa se pehle shaadi shuda the? aur unke do bete bhi the?

Ne - do bete? papa ne sirf aapka naam liya tha

A - mera ek bada bhai tha...Kunal lekin voh she (6) saal pehle...margaya tha

Ne - meri mom bhi margayi thi....theen (3) saal pehle, tabse main papa ke saath rehne laga

A - maine tumhe kabhi dheka nahin vahan

Ne - voh main bahar parne ke liye gaya tha isliye....kya aap papa ko maaf nahin kar sakte?

A - neeche ek aurat hai....meri mom, agar voh tumhare papa ko maaf kar sakti hai tho main bhi karloon ga, jao unse poocho kya voh tumhare papa ko maaf karti hai ke nahin

Ne - yeh "tumhare papa" kyun keh rahe ho? voh aapke bhi papa hai

Angad smiles lightly at Neev's innocence and puts a hand on his shoulder

A - dheko Neev, tum dad ko unti achi tara se nahin jaante jitna ke main janta hoon....actually sabse ache tho Kunal bhai unhe jaanta the lekin voh aaj yahan nahin hai.....main zyada time dad ke saath nahin raha kyunki voh Australia mein the lekin jabse voh India shift hue the tabse unhe main bohat achi tara se jaanta hoon.....tum chahe unpe kitna barosa karlo...aakhir mein voh barosa toot jaata hai

Ne - ek baat poochoon?

A - poocho?

Ne - agar Kunal bhaiya yahan hote tho kya voh papa ko maaf karte?

A - bhai dad ke kareeb tha.....mujhe nahin lagta ke voh unhe maaf karte, jitna kareeb tum kisi ke ho, utne zyada jhatka lagta hai jab voh tumhara barosa thod de the hai

Neev looks at Angad sadly

Ne - lekin voh aapse bohat pyaar karte hai...aakhir aap unhi ke bete ho.

Angad frowns and turns to open the door

Ne - bhaiya

A - what?

Ne - aap mujhse bade ho aur papa ke bete tho us haq se aap mere bhaiya ho....aapko bura tho nahin laga?

A - nahin...bolo kya kehne vale the tum?

Ne - jab beta galti karta hai tho maa baap unhe hazar baar maaf kar dete hai, lekin jab maa baap se galti hoti hai, tho bete kyun nahin maaf karte? main jaanta hoon ke aap bhi papa se bohat pyaar karte ho isliye naraz ho...lekin jab aapki narazagi door ho jaaye tho papa se baat karlena

Neev leaves a bewildered Angad in the room

coming up - Sujal urges Angad to forgive Suyesh....will he listen?
