"Mama, he's Huda, Poo-.." "Oho! Toh tum ho woh beta ji, Pooja ki mummy ka phone bhi aaya tha mere paas, tum toh bade handsome ho, huhuh!!!???" And then , Naina's ever excited, nonono, over-excited mom, burst out laughing!!! "Mom, control, please… Aap…" "Arrey Naina, it's all right, aakhir mummys ki hassi se hee toh sab normal lagta hai?! Nahin Pooja?" "Haan… Haan, bilkul", Pooja was quite bewildered by what Naina's mom said… Pooja's mama had already told Naina's mom about Huda… UFFF!!! That's so very confusing…"SHUT UP!!!" shouted Pooja, almost immediately, now totally fed-up, and each and every person in the party stood still at their respective places, totally stunned by this not-so-expected twist, ya, TWIST!!! "Uh… Hmmmm… Uh… Woh actually, aap sab, are you people enjoying, do you want some music, some dance, what say???" and saying this, Naina very hesitantly changed the topic and handled the situation with much care… "YESSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!" shouted everyone, in a chorus…!!! And then, bas, isi ki toh der thi… The DJ, who was getting extremely bored, and who had just decided to bang his head in a wall, in this dreary, uninteresting, boring, dull party, had now finally got the time to make everyone dance to his tunes… Vaise, all these words have the same meaning… But still… And then, he was so happy, that the first song was the one, which Naina hated, as it is, she didn't like to dance or listen to songs… She hated these silly songs… Now, back to our pyaare DJ bhaiya. the first song he played was, any guesses? Nono, that's not the name of the song… The song was… Beedi Jalaaile… Yeah, you got it right, and whoooo! Pooja danced marvelously on this song… Just like Aishwarya did in the movie… Stupids! Bipasha was in the song, not Aishwarya… Huh?! Anyway, Huda was so happy and so enthralled by Pooja's dance! And yes, so was Pooja, as Huda joined her in. "HUDA!!!" "Yes,.. Oh! Alekh!!!Mere jawaaan, kaisa hai tu? Aur tu yahaan kya kar raha hai, haan?" "Yeh saamne waala ghar mera hee toh hai, yahin pe toh rehta hun main, tabhi toh mujhe is Grandma ko sehna padta hai…" "Grandma?" "Haan, tu jaanta nahin, Naina, usi ka toh ghar hai na yeh… Usey chodke iss ghar mein baaki sap toh bahut ache hain… Pata nahin woh kahaan se born ho gayi yahaan!" "Kyun? Tujhe woh achi nahin lagti kya, mujhe toh bahut achi lagti hai!" „Aren't you getting married to her then?" „Arrey, tu toh kabhi badlega nahin, main yahaan shaadi karne aaya hun yaar... "Hey there, can I have one red wine and one apple wine, quick!" "I'm really very sorry sir, I don't have either of them", said a very hesitated and frightened bar girl. "Ok, then at least give me two rums." "Well… uh… sir, I'm afraid… I don't have that, either." "Alright! Enough! Can I have two glasses of vodka, please?!" "Well sir, sorry, I don't have that, too!" Then, turning to the bar girl, he said, "Ma'am, from the next time, please keep some amount of POISON with you!!!" "Oho, bechaara alekh, see, he wants to suicide now, I pity him!", said Naina. "No Granny, I don't want to die, but yeah, I'll surely mix the poison with your drink, and then you see what happens!!!" And he went away…
'Hai rabba! Naina, chalna, dekh, kitna acha gaana chal raha hai!" "But, which one is it?" "Tuney yeh gaana nahin suna, crazy or what?! Yeh wohi toh hai, 'Dhoom again'!" Naina gave a perplexed look. "Haan? Tuney Dhoom:2 ke bare mein nahin suna? Naina, you're fine na, you're not having any fever or something na, or you aren't going through amnesia, right?" "Main kya karun, exams chal rahe the na, jab teri yeh nayi movies release huyi theen. Now you tell me, what is my fault? Aur vaise bhi, movies ke baare mein pata hona studies se zyaada important nahin hai!" "Haan, haan. Tu jaanti bhi hai, ki college mein sab tujhe Granny kehkar pukaarte hain?!" "Toh, unke kehne se main granny ban toh nahin jaaongi na? Tu bhi na, kuch bhi bolti hai." "Acha, acha, mera time waste karna band kar aur chal." "Main, main time waste kar rahi hun?" "Nahin Nainaji, saara time toh main hee waste karti hun, aap toh sirf khade hokar dekhti rehti hain sab kuch! Ab chalein???" "Chal na, main toh kabse keh rahi hun." They head towards the dance floor.
"What a song naa, Pooja?" "Haan, yes Huda, bilkul, I love this song!" "And what about you, Naina?" "Well, I haven't heard it ever before?" "Oh… Okay!" though Huda seemed confused. "Pooja, main bas, abhi aaya!" "Okay." Huda goes over to Alekh and pulls him out of the dance floor. "Kya yaar, tu bhi na, itna mazaa aa raha tha. Dekh yaar, collage mein toh inmein se kisiko bhi milne ka time mere paas hota nahin, aur ab, jab time mila hai, toh tu dance tak nahin karne dey raha yaar!" "Ufffff!!! Chup kar… And, I have to talk to you." "About what? " "Well, yaar, I think I like Pooja. Bas tujhse yehi baat karni thi, that, should I give her THE BAND?" "Haan, woh theek hai. Go ahead, sir!" "But Alekh, I literally fail to understand her friend, Naina. I mean, she's so peculiar! She has no idea of any of the recent songs or movies or any hip-hop stuff!" "See now, that's why we call her Granny! Well suited, isn't it?" "Very well!" "Let's go!" They go back to the dance floor, amused and baffled.
Now, 'THE BAND' , was a very special Friendship Band, which Huda had been preserving, since he was 10. His granny, now no more, had made this very special thing, and yes, she had told him to tie this Band only to the girl he liked. Now, if you want to know something more about Huda, I'll tell you.
Huda was 20, a year older to all the three of them, though he was in the same, 1st year college thing. Well, that was because he entered school late. Now how Alekh knows him, is an altogether different story. Alekh, before coming to Casa Levelle, New York, used to live in London, where Huda actually stays. Alekh and Huda had studied together, for about 4 years, and Alekh came to Casa, when he was 7 and Huda was 8. Thogu htheir interaction had now been disturbed by the distance of where they stayed. But yeah, surely, they couldn't find better friends than each other. Both of them had become the BEST of friends, and yes, they were even now. Huda's parents were planning to shift to Casa, and so, initially they had sent Huda to look about for the house, which they were planning to buy. They were quite rich people, but yeah, they were surely not rude or arrogant. They were very down-to-earth and extremely kind-hearted. Huda's mom had come to know about Pooja from the internet, Shaadi.com, where Pooja's parents had put up her information, and so, all this contact and everything happened. So, Huda actually came here for two things, one, for the house and two, for Pooja. Alekh's parents knew Huda's parents very well, and so did Huda's parents. Even Huda's parents had a chain of Indian Restaurants in New York and Manhattan, just like Pooja's, though they had a caf only. But yes, as I said, these people were very down-to-earth, and did not believe in any of such crazy things! Huda's parents were very funny people, 'khush mizaaz', as we call.
