Bariyan a ShiVi ficton [Completed] - Page 2

This was lovely! Loved this unique take. This take makes me love ShiVi especially Raavi even more. And doesn't tarnish DevRish's equation. Both wanted to be together, but chose to not be together because they (especially Dev) didn't want to break her heart. (I am going to assume that he wasn't a coward).

And Raavi who just went through break up not too long ago, manages to be her chirpyself for the world. The only one in front of whom she can be herself is Shiva. Maybe did her this gesture convince him to play along with her story. They are willing to go in this "love marriage" for the person both of them love. Looking forward to what Shiva's thoughts are. Hope you make this into an SS. Would love to see how this wedding ceremony plays out.

P.s. Good to have another writer on this forum! Keep sharing these lovely ideas/stories.

Can I ask what does Bariyan mean?

Bariyan - I have taken this word from a Atif Aslam song, it means enemy who is actually lover and loves to trouble his beloved.

You have also mentioned earlier you didn't get some dialogues. You can ask me to understand them.

I am not an Indian guys , so my Hindi is not that good. I tried to write Hindi dialogues cause it gives you the feel more.

Should I just write it in only English?

Thank you. I didn't know what it meant either. How do you pronounce it? I am pretty sure I am mispronouncing it. I am probocing it like Baniyan, but with "R".

I know this question wasn't for me, but I personally live the Hindi touch and didn't have an issue understanding any dialogues. But Happy to read the story as you present it.

In Bariyan , 'Ba' is said how 'Nai' of naina is, then 'Riyan' is just Ria. Bairia - is the pronounciation.

Also you can hear Bariyan by Atif and Shreya from Ramaiya Vastavaiya, I think it will help you more.

I hope you continue writing this. It’s so good. I would have preferred to see fake romance instead of forced shaadi. Would have been fun. I hope sometime in future, Raavi and Shiva do some fake romance for the sake of their family. That would be a treat to watch.
