So Nishit has always been attracted by Kirti. Although he seems to be his normal self when he he alone with her. With Tejas and everyone around, he doesn't associate with her much. Now we know how Prassana, Biplab and Kirti's friendship started.

This leaf from the past was a fun and interesting read GN.

Nishit believes that actions speak louder than words for sure.

All his interactions with Kirti has shown that he really cares for her.

It was really sweet of him to sit with her till the party starts and engage Biplab, even take care of her entangled hair and make sure her father reaches the venue to take them back home.

And as soon as other people take prominence, he just fades away among the crowd.

It is just unfortunate that Kirti noticed Tejas's loud words over Nishit's actions. (most times?)

And this was the first time Biplab and Prasanna met. Do they still remember it? They were little and looks like it was bachpan ka pyaar between them 😆

Who is this creep who commented on Kirti's lips? Is he related to Navyam in anyway?

It was also fun to meet infant Buta in this chapter.

So Kirti meeting Buta is always a recipe for some kind of accident? 😆

I swear the kind of accidents Kirti faces be it animals or toys is just too fun to read. But poor Kirti, it is not fun to get embarrassed all the time.

Is this man the reason for Kirti losing touch with Nishit and Prasanna and the other classmates except Tejas?

Is this man the reason for the MU or some incident that Tejas and she had mentioned fleetingly?

The chacha in this chapter was creepy. That stood out for me because he commented on a young girl's lips. But, you can see Nishit's protective instincts coming roaring to the fore. It was really a lovely portrayal of their(actually, his) attraction to her. Too bad she seems oblivious as ever. Wonder what she saw in Tejas apart from the fact that he made friends with her first and made her feel included.

Buta-Battata was too cute. Nothing like a baby to cut the ice in any setting and how wonderful of Nishit to make Biplap feel included. He shows a much deeper understanding of people and displays maturity beyond his years. I wonder what made him so mature at such a young age. Did having a differently-abled sister make him attuned to the hateful and disparaging words humans often threw around? I also loved how he came charging when he sensed a (perceived?)threat from Amit(?) I am definitely liking the teenage Nishit. Another stellar chapter, GN. Am loving the way the story is taking shape.

P.S. Are lauki and dhoodhi the same? Don't make it at my place...both my kids and the mister don't like it..irrespective of how many benefits it has, I can't seem to convince them 😆

I have watched Innocent Man and he looked good there as well and the emotional scenes were really moving.

Another melo drama I really like is I am Sorry I Love You. It is an old one. But very very good. So Ji Sub was so good in it and the chemistry, the heart aches for a good ending for him. Has a sad ending though.

Vincenzo, I haven't watched but have been hearing good things about which isn't surprising because both the people can act and are good looking.

If you want, you can try Money Game. It is about Korean banks, finance policies and mention of IMF crisis. Too much technical jargon but BUT the female lead can hold her own among the bigshots despite being from a humble background. The main male lead is a guy with a straight moral compass and is pretty boring. It is the villain that holds your attention. Eugene Han. Please wait for his entry. Happens in 3rd or 4th episode. The guy is such a delicious treat in the role. He and his fascination with the heroine was an object of huge discussions and fan arts on twitter.

I initially thought Money Game and Money Flower were the same shows with different names but apparently, they are different. Shall check it out.

Sorry, I love you - Ive heard really good things about this one but I stayed away from it because of the ending. I do have it on my list of To watch someday :)

The Pakistanis still have this system of Urdu periodicals and magazines where I think they publish stories in installments.

Umera Ahmed and all, they are prolific writers. Since, they choose such beautiful concepts, I wanted to read them. I even found a site that has all these Pakistani novels available but all in Urdu. No translations available.

I thought let me first learn to read Urdu. Easier said than done!

Being a desi at heart, one is always on a lookout for stories that you can relate to and connect at a deeper level. Serials and all, are way to live the desi romance vicariously, however, you need good actors. Actors that can emote well.

Like , I have seen many male actors getting to play the brooding men roles, but if you speak less, then your eyes will have to talk more. That talent, most of the recent actors don't have.

All the dramas I've watched written by Umera Ahmed have been exceptional. Have you seen "Digest Writer"? It's about the system you've mentioned above :)

I couldn't stop laughing at your lauki take. The country had gone lauki mad! 😆I have banished it after it chose to poison me just when I didn't have time to be ill. Worse, bringing down a visiting cousin at the same time. Even worse, the cousin hadn't eaten the dratted vegetable for years for just that reason. Deciding to give it a try since it was a lauki in videsh. Clearly, you can take a lauki out of desh, but can't take the desh out of lauki 😆 On a happier note, one of the most fun ArHi OS I have read involved a lauki... yup 😆

This glimpse of Nishit was lovely. He comes across as such a decent chap. Patient, considerate, well mannered and clearly quite taken with Kirti Singh. He's even observed her fondness for jokes. Kaafi baatein notice kari hai ussne ;) He seemed aware of the creepy nature of the strange man who had come in judging by the way he immediately removed Kirti from his presence. Chacha?

I loved how you showed that while many a time we yearn to peek into and grasp a piece of another life, often it comes with the realisation that the one we do have is just fine.

Kirti's imagination was just as vivid in her school days it seems. "Karuna ke khule kesh like black sesame seeds in full bloom" 😆 And we see just where those genes are inherited from!
