Jeev is so smart that he understood Mishti's motives.

His thinking about Mishti is logical as any person would think the other person is after money and property.

Sad that Jeev and Mishti had made a deal to marry.

Mishti brought the documents to Jeev to sign them.

But Jeev is smart that he would not sign them easily and made her dance to his tunes.

I guess Mishti should realize that nothing comes easily.

Jeev:My next wish is…I want my wife to treat my family with respect.

Mishti:What a stupid wish!You don’t have a family.Then how can your wife treat them with respect?

Jeev felt upset.

Jeev:But I consider Anand uncle and Bela aunty as mine.So you should treat them well.Now onwards you should not get angry with them.

Mishti was shocked.

Mishti:What the hell!I can’t control my anger when I see them.They irritate me that much.

Jeev:But you have to control your anger if you want my signature.

Mishti thought:Oh no,..what all should I do to get his signature?Behaving softly with Anand uncle and Bela aunty?

Mishti:Ok,I will try.

Jeev:Trying is not enough.You should behave well to them.You should cook not only for me,but also for them.

Mishti was shocked.

Mishti:Why should I cook for them?I am not their servant.

Jeev:Even Bela aunty is not your servant.Your late father did not ask her to cook for you.Still she is doing it for you.So you should cook for them too.

Mishti:Stop your lecture.I can’t do that.

Jeev:I told you that I consider them as my family now.So you need to take care of my family.Otherwise my signature…just forget it.

Mishti felt helpless.

Mishti:Ok.I will cook for them.

Jeev smiled:Good.But cook properly.You will get good recipes from the internet.

Mishti:Ok.

Bela went to the kitchen to cook.Mishti came there.

Mishti:You don’t cook.Now onwards I will cook.

Bela could not believe her ears:What?

Jeev came from behind.

Jeev:Yes.You heard it right.Mishti says that till now Bela aunty cooked so much for her.But it’s her turn to do it back for you.So now onwards she will cook.

Bela was surprised.Anand who came there also was surprised.

Anand:Mishti is going to cook for us.Is it true?

Mishti opened her mouth in anger.Seeing that Jeev came in front of her and nodded his head in ‘no’ indicating that she should not get angry with Anand-Bela.So Mishti suppressed her anger.

Mishti faked a smile:Yes,from now onwards I will cook.

Jeev:So it’s complete rest for Bela aunty.Right Mishti?

Mishti gave an artificial smile.

Mishti got angry,but she controlled it.

She said in her mind:Once I get what I want,I will make you cook again like you did till now Bela aunty.

Bela:I don’t need complete rest.I will cook my Mishti’s favourite dishes whenever she wants.

Mishti did not care.Anand-Jeev smiled.

Mishti got tired after cooking.

But Anand-Bela tasted it and smiled.

Anand:This is really good Mishti.

Bela:I never thought that my Mishti can cook so well.

Mishti smiled.She tasted the food and became dull.

Mishti went to the washroom and spat it there.

Mishti:The food is so tasteless.Then why did they say that it was tasty?

She turned back.Jeev was smirking.

Jeev:You know why they praised your food?Because they know that you took a lot of effort to cook food for them.They think that you cooked for them out of love.So they did’nt want to hurt you by saying the truth.But what did you do?Though Bela aunty cooks for you with a lot of effort just for your happiness you kept complaining that her food is tasteless.

Mishti became upset.

Jeev:Anyways this is your first attempt.Daily when you cook you will improve and one day you will automatically cook delicious food.

Anand and Bela were eating the food.

Jeev:Don’t eat this as this food is not that good.I will order food from outside.

Anand:No need.We will have this food only.This food is very precious.Our Mishti made this food specially for us.

Bela:You are right Anandji.Jeev…we find this food the tastiest food in this world as our Mishti made it for us for the first time.

Mishti who overheard this became emotional.

Anand-Bela arranged a puja in the temple.

Mishti told Jeev:Puja in the temple?So boring.I won’t come with you all.Instead I prefer to party with my friends.

Jeev:This puja is kept for your family.Your late parents used to do it.Right?Anand uncle and Bela aunty are continuing the family tradition.Can’t you go to the temple atleast for your parents?

Mishti thought for a while and said:Ok.

Mishti wore shorts with short top.

Jeev:What is this Mishti?You are going to the temple.In this dress you can’t go to the temple.Wear a saree.

Mishti:Saree?I can’t carry myself in a saree.It’s so uncomfortable for me.

Jeev:Then wear a salwar kameez.

Mishti:I don’t have any salwar kameez.I am not interested to wear salwar kameez and look like a behenji.

Jeev:Wearing salwar kameez does’nt make anyone a behenji.Also behenji look is not bad.

Mishti:Whatever!I can’t.

Jeev:When you go to a temple shpw respect to God.Atleast there don’ wear short dress.I will buy a salwar kameez and come.You should wear it.

Mishti:I said no.

Jeev:Then I will Anand uncle and Bela aunty about our deal.He will know the truth.

Mishti:No no.Don’t do that.I will wear whatever you buy.

Jeev smiled.

Jeev bought a salwar kameez and gave it to Mishti.

Mishti wore it without any interest.

Jeev was mesmerized by her beauty.

They went to the temple.There were beggars begging in the temple compound.

Jeev:Mishti,your uncle has given you pocket money.From that,give a small amount to each beggar.

Mishti was shocked:What nonsense!Why should I give my money to these losers?

Jeev:Your parents used to donate money to the people in need.Right?During the family puja they used to give money to the beggars and the poor people.Now since they are not here you should do that.

Mishti:Who are you to order me Jeev?Don’t try to be my husband.

Jeev:My next wish is to help the poor people.Now I have no savings.I spent everything on my treatment and now I am penniless.So you should help me to fulfill this wish of mine.

Mishti:I myself is struggling for money and you want me to give them my money free.No…

Jeev:Don’t create a scene here Mishti.Don’t forget that Anand uncle and Bela aunty are also here.Don’t forget that only if you fulfill my wishes you will get my signature.You are going to lose only a small amount of money if you give it to these beggars.But if you get my signature,you will get a big amount.Don’t forget that.

Mishti hesitated,still gave money to the beggars.Jeev smiled.

Anand-Bela were surprised to see it.They smiled.

Bela:She has really changed a lot.She has turned out to be how we wanted her to be.

Anand:Our decision to get her married was right.She got a nice husband who taught her values which we failed to give her.

After some days Mishti really lost her cool and yelled at Jeev.

Mishti:I did everything you wanted.Now you might be sure that till death you will get a comfortable life here.Still why are you not signing the papers?You are so selfish that you don’t care about me.It’s good that you are going to die.It’s because of your selfish nature that God gave you an illness which will take your life soon.

Jeev’s heart got pierced.

Mishti:I guess you forgot why I married a dying patient like you.I married you only to get your signature so that I can have power over my properties.I married a cancer patient like you so that you will leave my life soon and I can enjoy my life all alone.For that I did everything you said.

To their shock Anand-Bela were standing near the door.They had overheard everything.
