I liked the chess reference. She thought the game is to win. But he clarified that it is to save the things/thee ones whom you care for. She did surprise him saying that she is thinking about him.

I completely agree with you those 8 years have so much to write about. As nothing in the show has been disclosed about those 8 years, it allows us to interpret that time in so many ways and I am absolutely loving this one😊
