Hey everyone, had to help a friend that was hospitalized with the flu quite unexpectedly

She lost her friends for a few minutes during the post lunch stroll and got herself a cheap cell phone and a new SIM card

She decided she was going to sell the phone back and throw away the SIM card and her little rendezvous will never be discovered

It was Wed nite and she made the trek back to Jor Bagh after work

The dog could not let her in so she waited by the front door until he showed up well after 8 PM

"Umm... its not closed... its dangerous... but I have him he calmed the dog down

T = "So? Is this it? Is this it? "Is she staying here the nite?

"Hang on he scolded the dog as he went in to grab water and scoop out dinner for the furry friend

T- "Are u kidding? I CANT EAT NOW!! I mean.. what if she leaves before I return?

"Hey pal he called out clanking his dish

Toast looked at her painfully

T- Promise you wont go?

Samidha decided to leave before he was done with dinner

He returned and handed her a water

"Here is my number she handed him a post it

"Niice "Hand written he mocked

"I don't have a texting plan she said waving her phone

He looked at her phone stunned

"Umm.. nothing he shook his head trying not to be rude

Her iphone buzzed in her purse, thankfully on mute

"I am leaving she said

He grabbed her "Stay!! I haven't eaten, I just had beer with friends, after the run I will shower and cook or mayb my Mom left something in the frig

He bend down and kissed her slowly, in soft hungry strokes he tasted like beer and some dip she was hungry she tried to mop off the flavor as best as she could

His lips traveled to her ear, his favorite ear, the left, and he tasted the under lobe area

They were both desperate for some other anatomy action

"Ohhh she shuddered clinging to him when he caressed under her armpit

"Stay Samidha he whispered nibbling her lips

T barked

"Go eat he said carelessly

T- I am not leaving until she takes off her delicious footwear (so I can chew on those sparkles) and puts her feet up

"He never listens to you Samdidha declared

"He only acts hyper around YOU Avyaan said defensively

"He must know I don't want him to eat me. AND must know I hate him she mumbled

"YOU wont get hurt!! "Trust me!! he promised

He stood a foot away from her, staring into her large sparkling Kannadiga eyes

They both hoped that last line was ONLY about the dog

This story is different in the sense that both of them have their priorities straight. This is also reflective of the times. Everyone around me is on Tinder and hooking up is so common now. A lot of people even find their life partners in what starts as a casual fling. Things have changed so much these days. The idea of romance has changed drastically. The best part about all this is that it has given women a lot of choice and freedom in choosing their partners. In fact, women are taking the lead in relationships like the heroine of this story. This is amazing!

The article which was published in vanity Fair created so much noise. I thought about sharing the link but decided not to. Anyone who's interested is just a tap away from accessing this. I read this unfortunately exactly five days bk and this has permanently scarred my 45 yrs of existence . IMO in places like New York it's an extremely reverse absolutely bleak cultural movement that not too far away from being in the flesh trade... .. it's no freedom in excersing your choice , it's selling oneself short. This I beg to differ is not the liberation that defines the term.

I had a convo with my daughter in presence of her dad on this article. He was utterly uncomfortable being there during this convo. But I felt I had to. I told her you are 17. You are going to step out very soon and the choice to be you with a body that you can sport around , a body that you can talk to looking at your face in the mirror every morning is your true culture amidst the existing cultures and that's the choice she has to earn for herself. Whatever generation one might belong to this should hold true.

Probably my last post sounds harsh and May be that article was more media flashy to grab eyeballs, but one can't esacape the negativity that promotes the sleazeballs having a field day every day .

More neutrally put, It's a tool, an app I agree one should know how to use. But even a crash course amidst all this digital facade promotes insecurity beyond redemption,competing with competitors casually swiping on your bloody phone. Seeking exclusivity from your partners on the app is like getting moksha. For one moksha there are thousand hells you might have to navigate . Sadly Naivety has a weakness for securing validation through this mask but underneath the mask there exists you that you've got to live with. We can play match match of course but you've got to be wary of the grounds in which one plays the match. One might want to ride on a horse galloping to play polo, next thing you know you are actually playing not polo but Ice polo... skidding around something at your own peril.

Well ! It's no tinder app hooking up here but this is at the outset differing grounds to play the game with differing match expectations. The narrative she wants here is different from the premise / promise he's showing 😉 😊 ... ... the temp phone no she can throw and the sim trashed but you will get called out underneath that mask.
