Good Jas! This summer we went to India after 4 yrs

Crazy couple of days...

Lovely start Nisha, every time you start a story, it has us working overtime on the past possible scenarios. 😆 . I don't what could hv transpired for the girl to put a polite distance as if walking on egg shells around the elderly lady exuding warmth and affection. Waiting to read more.

Vasudha is yet another beautiful name. Rings so pleasant to the ears . Anirudh, varadhan, Janani, shobhana, vishaka are all great picks for the names. Loving it.

Honestly oru visit kooda pannala. We might do a couple in state after the Labor Day weekend. Also probably check out the Chicago ones late October. A science major with Music minor is her plan . Let's see. I've left it to her and her dad the research bit 😆 .Myself wonly Moral support for everyone's sanity around me 😆

Mediocre Middle

Entering the sanctum was good and bad, Meenakshi was lost in the crowd, Vasudha's eyes searched vainly for her, she spotted her 20 or so minutes later doing parikrama with Shiv. They looked good together. NOT Great. She will only look great with Anirudh, her heart screamed

"Mythili mami patheya? (did u notice Mythili?) Vasudha tried to distract her son.

He was no longer looking at Meenakshi but she was sure he was thinking only about her

"Yes Ma he smiled

"Enna sonna? (what did she tell you?)

"Oh... just about.. Venu's vacation and when he is coming home

"U gave up your US chance Vasudha didn't want her kids disappointed or unequal.

But her middle child... was just that... middle of the road

He was a great student but didn't go to Caltech like Vikram. Vishaka studied Combustion Technologies at Ecole Polytechnic in France

Anirudh went to NIT Trichy, he did great but didn't go for overseas internships or fancy assignments

"NIT is top class she murmured

"I am sure Mythili Mami knows that he smirked

She looked at him, as she held the giant tray containing a rose garland that the priest had stripped off the idol as a blessing (he did that randomly and tonite was Vasudha's lucky nite) or he knew who Vasudha was and had "crafted Shiva's blessing to land on Vasudha's lap

The half coconut was stained in places with Kumkum from the visits to other goddess shrines

Anirudh looked great, in veshti and a navy teeshirt, could be mistaken for a movie star Vasudha nodded smugly

If not for the occasional grey she happened to notice more and more these days

She must get her eyes checked

There can be no way Anirudh could have grey hair

"Nee koopdu, varuvo paar (u invite her Meenakshi Will definitely visit)

"Vendaam ma (no) he said calmly

"Avan kooda irukaane paakareya? (are u worried she is with another man?)

"Umm... Amma please, ippo vendaam (Lets not talk now)

They arrived home with no more Meenakshi sightings

The driver stepped out to open the gates

The house occupied almost half the 6^th cross street near Tiger Varadachari Rd

Music played constantly in the surround sound system, Srini sat in the giant carved teak swing under a tree, and tapped his knuckles

His face lit up when he saw his wife and son get off

Vasudha just quietly offered him the prashad

"Swami patheya? (did u have a good darshan?)

"Mmm she nodded

She actually was only talking barely to her husband

Just the basic stuff, like a dutiful wife she took great care of him, but did not talk to him

"Nee kanna? (you son?)

"It was great Pa

"Hmm... Apram? (what else?) He noticed his wife's expression was particularly cold and distant this evening

She turned and walked into the house

"Meenakshi pathom kovil la Anirudh said quietly and exhaled long and hard

(we saw Meenakshi)

"Oh? Srini couldn't meet his son's gaze, he looked away

"Ummm... Srini acknowledged again though nothing was said

Aniruddh walked away doing his best not to break down

Oh boy, what a doozy of an update 👏...Husband and wife not speaking. Son pretending to be happy and covering up his heartbreak. Heroine walking around the temple with another guy!!!!! Is it wrong to ask for more please?

Anirudh's father has some role in his heartbreak????

Ok I am sure his father has something to do... now waiting for her point of view

Nisha more pleaasseee, as always it's caught me too impatient want to know the back story for their separation, loved all the names of the characters

Ani's mom n dad have a strained relationship?
