That you are loved is a very good feeling and an emotional need and when someone cares enough to put it I love you out in the open ,it's risk but if acknowledged or reciprocated everything after that sweetly becomes risqu 😳

If not anything, expressing it helps to put other things in context you know and while they work through issues , at least knowing that they are in it for the long haul is a good place to start. Avantika I think takes strength in that need, then why not give it to her being hard ass honest. 😳

She barely saw him the next morning, just a couple times, once as she exited the bathroom holding a white towel wrapped Chandu in her arms

He leaned on the doorjamb almost blocking her exit

"Hatenge? she said politely

Chandu's fist was closed, he reached and offered it to Harit

"What do u have for me? he bend down and kissed the wet head

"Yummy Chandu said

"Chandooo Teeku decided to set him down at that point

The kid handed a soapy slimy small sea shell shaped green soap to his Chachu

Harit laughed

"Aap khaaye? he asked the booy

"Twee the boy said showing 4 fingers

Harit toweled him dry she brought him his uniform and left

Harit brought him to the dining table

"Hamey aaj seedhe court jaana hai, aap chhod dengi school? Wahan construction hai Janakpuri kea age hum hamesha late ho jaate hain he said to her politely

Around 11 after she completed her "MIL expectations for the day, she received a call from Dr Maheshwari's office asking her to stop by when she can to collect the psychological emotional assessment test results of Chandu

She immediately grabbed on to the opportunity to leave home, Chandu didn't have to be picked up until 2 this afternoon, the school was getting a visitor, a army cadet so kids could meet him

She collected the reports from the Dr

And asked the driver to drive to Civil Lines

The arch above the rusty old gates said exactly that, the driver couldn't pull in, there were 100s of people walking, lounging squatting, leaning on motorcyles and bicycles holding stacks of papers

It was exactly like Tiz Hazari in Delhi

Eyes turned towards her in her gorgeous baby pink designer voile kurta with white embroidery and white voile palazzos, her silver kolhapuris turning grimy in seconds

The driver walked with her to show her the tiny rows of rooms almost half a mile into the compound

People squatted along the corridors, aging, sick, demented, kids

Some walke dup to her to beg for help with their cases

A cop walked up to him to threaten him to remove his car blocking the gates otherwise it would be challaned

The driver panicked she released him and told him to go home promising to find Harit by herself

It took a while

Harit walked out of one of the rooms along a long corridor and turned her way and froze

His eyes lighting up like million sparklers on Diwali night

He sprinted toward her

His black coat was gone, his white shirt folded 1/3^rd, pulled out in places from under his waist, his hair already unruly and it wasn't even Noon

She held a cardboard tray from Coffee Day, with one cold coffee cup and a iced tea for herself and two scones in a paper bag

"Avantikaaa? he was stunned

She handed him the tray "U ordered coffee? she smiled nervously

"I was told bahar se koi milne aaye hain he said scanning her face in disbelief

Gorgeous, shiny face, with barely any make up, a tiny red bindi

"U thought some one from the UK? she asked her heart sinking

She wondered how many "bahar ki women had visited him

He was almost afraid to walk with her it seemed like

She was like an angel lighting up the whole place

He stretched an arm out guiding her to a tiny room

The room was dark, two windows on the far wall, had cheap navy print twill curtains that were falling apart one half of the shutter on one of the windows was stuck shut with a cracked glass

"U followed your color theme she chuckled pointing to the navy

He grinned, set the cardboard tray on his table and ran his fingers through his hair bewildered

"Aaj hamey yeh saubhagya kyon? he grinned approaching her

"Dr Maheshwari ne test results lene ko kaha she mumbled and stopped talking as he drew close

He nodded still smiling, elated

"You look gorgeous he gasped

"Hum dupatta car mein chhod diye she whispered

"Hum dekh rahe hain he whispered

They stood inches from each other drinking in each others' scents

"Kya laayin aap?

"Cold coffee aapke liye aur sconces she said

"Aur apne liye?

"Iced tea "I hate cold coffee she made a face

He nodded still befuddled

There was a sofa in the corner with plastic wire weave on the back with lumpy orange cushions for the seat

He brought the tray to it as she sat

He took his and offered her

She took her paper cup and quickly slid her arm under his before he withdrew his arm

"Thank u? he laughed softly at the deliberate intimacy

"Haritt! she urged him not to tease her

She scooted even closer

He sipped his coffee and looked at her

"U dressed up for me? he asked

"Harittt she scolded him again blushing

He set the cup on the floor and gently stroked her fingers wrapped around his arm

"U created quite a stir outside he whispered

"Stop it she whispered

"Is there some part of u that's not beautiful? he asked staring at her silver footwear clad feet

Ohh My God.
This girl is killer. Harit, how do you resist her !
She is so so sweet.
