Nisha I Guess the ones who vote in large numbers have very little in their lives and can't really care much about policies or taxes. Populism works and caste politics rules.. as Long we are not inclusive as a community I guess very little will change.

I am guilty as anyone else. We have been trained to the mentality of home first (ofcourse there are exceptions). We talk more about the political situation than act. What did I do ? Earned a coveted engineering degree in Gov Aided college (my fee was less Rs.500 per semester) and didnt think about giving back until recently. I am part of the braindrain 😭

Our system (including raising kids) has been geared that way. Here I see they encourage volunteering, school project are geared towards social subjects. There is lot more awareness about joining Army/Navy to give back to the country. Crooked politicians exist here too but the system is not corrupt at all levels.

People see the void and jump in. What do u think Rajni and Kamal are doing now ? They are trying to manipulate the fame to gain more power. Who is interested in Tamil Nadu's or India's growth ? Everybody thinks they are MGR :( They look at his film fame but not his social awareness/want to give back to society.

Jaya B has money .. Now wants political backing for their own agenda.

Educated crowd doesnt want to deal with nonsense of these super rich politician/celebrities. Unless there is a clean wipeout and rebuild, there is very little a few can do any change. We need massive correction in our political system.

Jas I have consistently observed her treat the little people poorly. Drivers, media, common street folk. She is mean, nasty and sarcastic.
