"Angad, tell me what's wrong?"
"I want something from you"
"what?"
"I want you to leave"
Kripa looked at him to see if he was joking but his constant gaze at her said otherwise..................
Chapter 19
"didn't you hear me? I want you to leave?"
"are you out of your mind! no way! this is my house too, i am not leaving so you can bring that *** in to my home! nu-uh!"
Angad looked at her angrily and left the room, she followed him upstairs and saw him finding a bag from under the bed then opening her cupboard and stuffing her clothes in there
"what the hell are you doing!!!" she screamed
"well if you aren't leaving then i'll help you leave"
Angad put more clothes in but Kripa kept taking them out
"im not leaving" she said firmly
Angad looked at her again but ignored her, he pulled Kripa out of the way and put the clothes back in the bag and zipped it up. He then pulled Kripa by the wrist and took her downstairs, he got to the main door, handed her the bag, her purse, her car keys and her mobile and opened the front door
"get out" he told her
Kripa looked at him hoping to find some sort of remorse in his eyes but they were expressionless, she opened her mouth to reason but Angad put his hand up
"leave Kripa, now"
Kripa stood on the front stairs as Angad shut the door in her face, she looked at the house and thought about all the good times she shared with Angad but that was soon followed by all the bad. Part of her was happy Angad had thrown her out otherwise she may never have left him if she had the chance. She opened her car and put her bags in, she sat in and revved the engine up, she reversed out of the driveway, once she was out she looked back at the house and saw Angad at the window on the phone to someone, he closed the curtains and Kripa drove away.

"he what!!!"
Kripa's mum was screaming frantically over the phone, Kripa was still in the car, it was parked in some car park, she had figured her parents needed to know the truth so she had faced up the courage and told her mum everything, she was not happy
"all this happened and you didn't tell me? we could have come and got you Kripa"
"I know mum, that's why i never told you....i still love him"
"you are insane, theres love and theres madness Kripa. thats it, i'm coming to the UK"
"no mum please, once everything settles down, i will come there myself"
Her mum wasn't convinced but Kripa reassured her that she would stay with Anjali until things calmed down. She hung the phone up and before she knew it tears rolled down her cheeks, she looked at herself in the mirror and wiped them away, she had done enough crying, she was not going to shed another tear for that man. That was when it happened, she felt the baby kick and it was enough to overwhelm her and soon she was crying her heart out.
Finally she stopped crying and she drove to Anjali's house, luckily for her, Kavya was awake at 3AM, the baby had woken him, he opened the door and looked at her through sleepy eyes
"Kripa.....what are you doing here? it's.....3AM"
"I er....can you get Anjali please"
"why? you can tell me"
Kripa couldn't say another word as she began crying again, Kavya understood something must have happened with Angad so he went and woke Anjali up. She came running out and hugged Kripa
"shhhh don't cry Kripa"
Kavya went into the kitchen to make some coffee while Anjali sat down with Kripa as she told her what happened
"i knew you should have left him!"
"Anju stop shouting, you're going to wake Ved up...again"
Anjali lowered her voice and looked at Kripa sympathetically
"don't worry Kripa, everything will be ok, Kavya knows one of the best lawyers in London, he will get you and Angad divorced, trust me"
Kripa hugged her and felt slightly better, they were disturbed by Ved, Anjali moaned and went to get him. She came out holding a small baby boy, she quietened him down and caught eye of Kripa staring, she read her mind
"you want to hold him?"
"of course"
Kripa put her arms out as Anjali put Ved in her arms, Kripa supported his head and looked at him
"he's so sweet"
"yeah he is, look Kripa, you're welcome to stay here for as long as you like ok?"
Kripa nodded her head and handed Ved back to Anjali. She lay down on the sofa after Anjali and Kavya went to their room, hopefully things would be ok in the morning

Elsewhere on the other side of London, a man is shown arguing with another man and a woman, it rains heavily and it begins to thunder drowning out the sounds of their voices and later the gunshots, the first man falls to the ground, the other two people run away. The man lies on the street in his blood as the sirens are heard, with only one word on his lips
"Kripa............."

Kripa woke up screaming, Kavya rushed outside
"Kripa are you ok? what happened?"
"Angad.....I...."
She dug out her mobile and called Angad, but it went to voicemail. She threw the phone on the floor and grabbed her jacket, Kavya stopped her
"what's happened? where are you going?"
"I need to go to Angad" she replied
Kavya sighed
"its ok Kripa, I know you miss him but it's not the right time, you can see him in the morning"
Kripa began crying as Kavya hugged her
"but I have a bad feeling Kavya......he needs me"
Kavya calmed her down and soon she fell asleep, Kavya went into his room and told Anjali what happened
"listen, Ved keeps waking up, I'll see to him, could you...stay out in the living room and watch over her"
"sure" he replied
Kavya sat down in the armchair and watched Kripa sleep, soon he fell asleep himself.

Kripa moaned as she heard Ved crying, she woke up to find Kavya sleeping on the armchair, she woke him up
"Kavya, what are you doing here?"
"Anjali told me to make sure you slept properly"
"oh"
"even in your sleep you kept muttering Angad's name, you must really love him"
Kripa smiled faintly, she sat back down when she heard her phone ring, she looked at it lying on the floor and left it there, Kavya picked it up and answered
"hello.....no this is Kavya Nanda, who's speaking? ok one moment"
he looked at Kripa and held the phone out to her
"Kripa....it's the police"
Kripa's heartbeat became faster as she took the phone off him
"h...hello"
"Mrs Kripa Khanna?" the voice on the other side spoke
"ye..yes, who's this?"
"Maam, this is Inspector Turner, do you recall we met when your husband had an accident?"
"oh yes...what can i do for you?"
"I have some bad news...but I...I cannot tell you over the phone, if you tell me where you are then I will come to you"
"bad news.....no I'll come to the police station"
She hung up, Kavya looked at her questioningly, she ignored him and opened her bag, she took out some clothes and went into the bathroom to shower and change. She came outside 20 minutes later, Anjali was there now
"Kripa, what's going on? where are you going?"
"the police station, they said they have some news for me"
"ok then I'll go with you"
"fine"
Anjali got changed and left with Kripa.
They reached the police station, Kripa and Anjali got out of the car and went inside, Kripa went to the main desk
"hi i'm here to see Inspector Turner"
"one moment"
The woman phoned someone and soon Inspector Turner came out a door, he took her and Anjali into a room nearby
"please sit down"
"you said you have some news?" Anjali asked
"yes....It's about your husband Angad Khanna"
Kripa held Anjali's hand tight
"what about him?" Kripa asked
"I'm sorry but.....he was found last night"
"found....what do you mean?" Kripa asked
"meaning that.....his body was found, I'm sorry but your husband was murdered, he is no more"
The tears began falling from Kripa's eyes, Anjali hugged her, Turner handed her a tissue and left the room to give them some privacy. He waited outside and heard Kripa screaming Angad's name, once she had calmed down he went back in
"I'm sorry for your loss Mrs Khanna, but there is something we need you to do?"
"what?" Kripa asked as she sniffed
"we need you to identify his body"
"but you said it was him" Anjali reminded him
"it's just a formality, please follow me"
Anjali and Kripa stood up, Kripa sat in the police car, Anjali was about to sit
"no Anju....you go home to Kavya, I'll be ok"
Anjali argued with her but Kripa was adamant, Anjali left, Inspector Turner sat in the passenger seat and drove them to London City Morgue

Kripa looked at the dead body in front of her, the dead body of the man she loved.
She had been bought to London City Morgue by the rugged police officer standing on the other side of the table.
"Your husband's dead"
He had told her so casually as if it was something that came oh so naturally like saying hello.
Kripa touched his cheek, it was pale and cold, she looked at his lips, also pale and a bit of blue, she could look at him for a million years, if she was alone, but she wasn't
"Mrs Khanna, is that him? Is that Mr Khanna?"
She looked at the body again, then up at the policeman and nodded slowly.
