Bhabhi Bridge
They slept on each others' bodies until 2 AM staggering inside disoriented and hitting the bed
She woke first thing in the morning, with a bunch of mosquito bites all over her exposed legs and arms and face
"ashwinnn get up" she pushed
"I dont have any meetings this morning, no I am not"
"Its your fault, you left the door open and slept outside no"
He woke fully and grinned wide awake
"You never tire do you?" he asked pleasantly
"Look at me... wear your glasses" she urged
He laughed loudly "A blind husband and wife with mosquito bites" "tch tch" he whispered dragging her on to his body
"One night is enough, I am not sleeping on you, mosquitoes love you" she said causing him to laugh harder
"Ashwinnn" she buried her face in his neck and rubbed visgorously trying to itch
"I can help" he laughed
She hugged him tight and dozed
He was wide awake now
His mom knocked on the door
He rolle dhis wife over, kissed her unwillingly, caressed her as she protested
"Ashwinnn" "Open the door" Trisha whispered breathless when he let go of her
"Wake up with me then"
"No"
He opened it to find his mother
"Kya hua shaqal par beta?"
"We ended up sleeping on the deck chair sadly" he made a face
"She hates bugs... how can she allow it?"
"relax Ma" he warned
He followed her out
"Did u change your mind?" Mandira whispered
"U woke me up to ask that?"
She made his chai
"May be.." she dragged
"I mean seriously... Leela kept us awake until 1 AM with her chatter" he made a face
"I have to know Ashu"
"where is Leela?" he demanded
"She left in the morning"
"Bidadi?" he was furious
"Umm... I told her not to do a cab... Dadu offered up his driver"
"does she even know him... she is so stupid" he was not happy
He washed up and returned
Trisha was awake in a few minutes
"You have a lot of mosquito bites" Mandira informed her
Trisha nodded sadly
"Leela got a lot of pimples up until 20... your face looks like that now" Mandira couldnt hide the tone of satisfaction
Trisha was more upset, she tried to scan her jaw and cheeks in the dining room ornamental mirror
"Why wont she answer the phone?" Ashvin demanded
"Main tumse sawaal kar rahi hoon ulta tum mujhse" Mandira was not happy
"Hes Dadu's driver" mandira was defensive now
"Ofcourse... that means we can all go on a skepticism free over drive... nice"
"What happened?" Trisha asked
Mandira did not really want to share
"Leela took off Trish" he said angrily
"where did she go?" Trisha paused her coffee making
"Nowhere... bet" Mandira stopped herself
Trisha looked at Ashvin
"She went to that goddamn pottery schtick" he was exasperated
"What is schtick?" Trisha asked
He smiled disarmingly
"Nothing... I was trying to be furious" he smiled his temp sliding down quickly
Mandira watched how he did that with a lil envy
"The kids only speak complicated English" (learn it) tone
"No we dont... I speak English when I am upset" Ashvin defended his wife
"I can call her" Trisha went to their room to bring her phone
Leela answered on first ring
"Why did you go when Ashvin said not to?" Trisha accused
"Well because my brother is selfish I knew he wouldnt take me"
"Bad Leela.. why" Trisha struggled to scold her in English trying not to jump to Konkani
Ashvin and Mandira both charged towards her
"is he home still?" Leela asked fearfully
"He is... he didnt have meetings" Trisha said innocently
"Hes is a goddamn spy..." Leela shrieked
"why do u use bad words? " Trisha asked
"Because... because... you dont know him I do" Leela was a bit ashamed
"Mujhe dein aap phone" Mandira reached
"Let me talk first" Ashvin was quick he grabbed it
He gave her a sound dressing down
Mandira chased him to his balcony and grabbed the phone
Trisha took her coffee and followed
"Dont scold her" she said upset
"So She is your friend now?" he asked his expression softening from despair to amusement
Trisha nodded...
