Chapter-4

Her name

Omkara is in his workshop, trying to make a statue. He is looking frustrated, may be irritated too. After smoothing the statue a little, he sighed audibly and washed his hands in the tub.

"What has happened to me? Why am I not able to make something! I need something inspiring, I am losing my motivation!!'' He thought.

"Just relax and concentrate again." He said to himself and closed his eyes to relax. As soon as he closed his eyes he saw the flashes of the girl, the same girl he stared at, in the train.

Her flowing hair

Her blank eyes

Her nose pin

Her luscious lips

Her frown

Her deep eyes

Her fidgeting

Her hand full of bangles and accessories

Omkara opened his eyes at once, realizing something. He checked his pockets and took out the bracelet of her and looked at it smilingly. He sighed and said to himself, "I got my inspiration"

Now he very coolly started to make the statue. He completely got immersed in making it.

He made a statue of hand, posing upwards and filled with bangles. He sighed in content looking at his creation. He smiled as he got satisfied with its finishing.

At night, in Oberoi mansion everyone had been resided in their rooms, but not the O'bros'. They are busy in making special dinner for themselves as today they got time for themselves. Whenever they got free time from their works they always spend time together

While they are immersed in preparing food, shivaay's phone rang, it's tia calling. He received the call and talked to her.

"Hi, tia! Said shivaay

"Shivaay baby, today is my friend mohena's birthday. We have to attend her party. You please come and pick me up na, baby." Tia said on the other end.

"Ah...actually tia, I have a very important deal to make tomorrow. I have lot of work to do. I can not come." Replied shivaay.

"Oh! Baby, please. She is my best friend. And you never attended any party with me. I want to introduce you to my friends. Please, baby. For me attend this party. She pleaded in seductive voice.

"I know tia, that she is your best friend and all. But, you too have to understand me. I really need to crack this deal. I can't attend the party." He said in finality.

"Ok shivaay, will call you later. Bye." Said tia with disappointment.

"Bye." Said shivaay in reply in a way not caring about her disappointment.

He returned to the stove after finishing the call.

"Thank god, bhai. You didn't agree to go with her. Nothing comes between O'bro's moment!! Said Rudra happily.

" Yeah, we don't often get time to prepare dinner for ourselves! That's why I turned down her invitation." Said shivaay occupied in giving finishing touches to his dish.

"Oh, please shivaay. You already lied to your fiance, don't lie to us atleast." Said Omkara in resentment.

"What the wuck!! What did I lie to you?!" Exclaimed Shivaay

"Just now you said that you turned down tia's invitation because you want to spend time with us. But the truth is you don't like spending time with tia!"Answered Omkara

"Om, please keep your theories with you. I don't want to spoil my mood today." Said shivaay.

"Oh! I will keep calm. Don't get scared. I won't make you see the truth forcefully." Replied omkara

"Om you..." Shivaay was cut short when he tried to say something by rudra, exclaiming "Bhai!! It burned!!" pointing to the dish they were making.

"Now what are we going to eat?!" Rudra asked.

"What else? Let's just make daal chawal" Omkara suggested.

"Yeah, it takes less time to make." Replied Shivaay, agreeing to Omkara

Rudra first made faces then agreed and carried on with his brothers. Just like that another moments Omkara and Shivaay's clash of ideals got calmed down. It has became like a routine since Shivaay agreed to marry Tia for their business expansion which Om hates.

A week passed just like that. Omkara is still disturbed by the memories of that girl. He started to travel in local trains, in hope to get another glimpse of the girl he even carries her bracelet to return to her and can talk with her with that reason but to his disappointment he hadn't seen or met her after that day.

At night Oberoi's attended a party thrown by one of their business associates. Omkara had to tag along with them even though he is not interested.

He got seated in the bar, while Shivaay got busy with his associates and Rudra with young girls in the party.

He was having his drink in silent, when someone came to the bar noticed him and wished him, "hi, Omkara singh oberoi?!!"

He too wished him though he doesn't remembered who the person is, the person himself introduced, "I am Saket Agarwal. Sanjana Agarwal's elder brother, we met in your college fest remember?!" He asked.

"Oh, yes!! I remember now. You resides in London, right?!" Omkara asked remembering him

"Yes, But got shifted here couple of months back!" He replied

"Btw, heard that you dropped out of college, what's the reason?!" He asked Omkara unknowingly making him remember his hurtful past.

"Yeah, I did dropped out of college and started to pursue what I like most "art.""Said Omkara in a low tone

"Yes, I heard about it too. Your statues are really famous." He said while Omkara smiled a little.

He continued, "It's good that you pursued your dreams... "Omkara cut him in middle of the sentence and said, "Excuse me," and went from there leaving a confused looking man behind.

He went to restroom and started to wander out loud by looking at his reflection in mirror as the restroom is empty,

"What happened to me? Why haven't I said the real reason of me dropping out from college to saket?! Why ain't I spoke truth to him? Me who claims to be so truthful had said half lie today, why? Why amn't I able to be truthful when the topic of my past awakes?!! WHY? Why, can't I say truth about myself to everyone. Why?!!

He started to breakdown while looking at his reflection. Suddenly a girl's voice saying, "Hey hey, Mister easy-easy!! came from the other side of the mirror, might be from girl's restroom he thought and ignored it but the voice said "I am talking to you Mr. Truthful. Are you hearing me?!"

"Me?!" Omkara exclaimed while frowning in confusion.

"Yes, you Mr. Wannabe." Replied the voice.

"hey, I am not a wannabe!" Retorted Omkara

"Yes, you are!" Said the voice.

"Why else you want to share every detail of your life anyone and everyone?"Questioned Omkara making him frown in confusion. " And cry because he hadn't been able to do that?!" Questioned the girl further.

"Hey, I am not crying." Said Omkara wiping his eyes.

"oh! Ok, I believe you!!" Said the girl laughing lightly and continued, "Listen, Mr. Truthful . It is completely fine to lie sometimes. And truth is really very precious. It doesn't worth everyone." Said the girl, in a low and serious voice as if she is saying that to herself. And continued saying "So, take it easy. It's fine. Ok?!!"

Omkara listened to her with full attention and tried to understand it. He got a sudden urge to see this girl and hurried to outside when he heard the door opening on the other side. He got out just in time and saw her back.

"Hey, listen...!!" He shouted and spread his right arm towards the girl.

The girl turned back and looked at him. It is the same girl, for whom omkara was waiting since a week. Finally, she saw her and he even talked to her.

He smiled at her and stared at her eyes, while the girl frowned at him. She was about to say something but got cut by a loud voice calling her, "ISHANYA."

She turned to the other side and searched for the caller. A girl came to her and said, "Ishanya, where were you?! Come I have to introduce you to someone, come with me." She said and dragged her with herself while Omkara still looking at her face and her retreating back.

"Ishanya..." Omkara whispered to himself and smiled broadly.

Chapter-5

A walk to remember

Early morning, at jogger's park in foggy atmosphere Rudra singh Oberoi is sweating out his extra calories from his late night party. He saw Ishanya jogging in blue track suit while doing side crunches.

He saw her with broad smile while she is jogging. He jogged towards her in full speed and held her hand from back, in a reflex he got slapped by Ishanya. She looked at him angrily while Rudra looked at her in shock pressing his hand to cheek.

"Arey, yaar... jab...bhi...milo, why do you slap me every time?!! Rudra fumbled and then exclaimed. "Oho! It's been a month may be you forgot...I am... Rudra tried to introduce himself when Ishanya signed him to stop by showing hand fuming.

"I do remember your help in saving those girls. She said and Rudra smiled broadly at it. She continued, "That doesn't give you a right to touch my hand!!! She fumed, and Rudra said, "Sorry in low tone hanging his head.

He lifted his head to talk to her but got shocked and opened his mouth seeing her jogging away from him. He looked here and there and jogged in opposite direction went outside park and sat in his car.

"Woah, Rudy!! Such a shame on you?!! A girl had slapped you not once but twice. And for the first time a girl had royally ignored you. For the first time, I've failed to charm a girl not just failed but also ran away in fear?!! Shame on you! Shame on you!! He thought after sitting in the car.

"May be her mood is not good right now, and I angered her by holding her hand. "Yeah, that might be the reason. "It's good that I came outside to do my workout. Now, I know that she comes here every morning I can meet her later too, when she is in good mood. He said to himself making himself feel better.

In Oberoi Mansion, everyone are present in dining area for breakfast. Like always everyone are busy in themselves. Senior O'bros' and SSO are busy in discussing business.

"Bhai I've heard that Mehta's are tying up with "Hindustani Fashion house. Infact, they are going to launch a joint label in next week's fashion show. Said Shakti Oberoi.

"What? Mehta's?!! Are you sure this information is true? Asked Tej Oberoi in surprise

"Yes, bade papa. I've checked this personally. "Hindustani are merging with someone for sure. And Mehta's had meetings with them in past few days. It is certain that they are merging with "Hindustani. Said Shivaay confirming the information he found.

"How come Mehta's got this huge deal?!! Exclaimed Tej Oberoi.

"They have played smart, bade papa. Here we were waiting for the launch to happen to tie-up with, there they already finalized the deal and launching together. Said Shivaay.

"Have you seen the market value of "Hindustani Shivaay?! If this launch happens Mehta's would surpass us and become No.1!! Said Tej Oberoi in frustration.

"Now, what can we do, bhai?!! Asked Shakti Oberoi.

"We have to stop this deal and crack it for ourselves. Said Tej Oberoi.

"But how, bhai?!! Asked Shakti Oberoi.

"Shivaay, I don't know how you are going to deal this but I want this merger by hook or by crook. Said Tej Oberoi to Shivaay.

"I'll see to it, bade papa Replied Shivaay and hurriedly, left the breakfast table.

Somewhere else, in an office, Ishanya is in her cabin, immersed in some files. Someone knocked on the door.

"Come in, Said Ishanya.

"Guess what, Ishanya?!! Exclaimed a lady coming in the cabin

"What, Nandita? Asked Ishanya without looking up from the files.

"Mr. Shivaay Singh Oberoi, wants meet you for a deal!! Replied Nandita excitedly.

"So?! Asked Ishanya still looking at the files

"So?!! So?!! Are you out of your mind?!!! He is THE Shivaay Singh Oberoi. It's our fortune that he wants to deal with out our company. Replied Nandita trying to make Ishanya understand.

At this Ishanya looked up from files and talked looking straight in her eyes.

"I hope, you remember that you are my company's PR head not Business head, right??! She asked

"I know, Ishanya. But it's oberoi's. Look I understand why you rejected the merger offer from Mehtas' but we should merge with oberoi's if they are interested... She continued to say but cut short by Ishanya saying

"I have to be interested first Nanditha. Not any one else. And as I said, you are this company's PR. So, be limited to it and do that work effectively. It's only a week away from launch and we still didn't have any print ads ready! Go and concentrate on your work or else I have to replace you!! She said making her stance very clear.

Without another word Nandita left the cabin realizing she won't agree at any cost now. After a couple of hours she got a call from Shivaay, demanding for a meeting. She tried to explain him that she is not interested in any mergers but couldn't say it as Shivaay was so adamant in meeting for once even if it's not for the deal. As she doesn't have any right to say yes or no she said she'll call him after informing Ishanya.

Again Nandita came in Ishanya's cabin to talk about the meeting with Shivaay

"Shivaay singh Oberoi wants to meet you once even if it's not for the deal. What should I say to him?! Asked Nandita being careful to not angry her.

"Say, ok Said Ishanya surprising her

"Ok, then I'll say it to him. He'll here in a couple of hours. Said Nandita.

"I said yes to meet him not to meet him on the time and place he wants or desires. Said Ishanya shocking her

"I'll meet him tomorrow @11AM in coffee day. Said Ishanya looking at her system.

"Ok, I'll tell that to him Said Nandita in fear of her anger and left from there. While Ishanya looked at her back after she left and looked thoughtful about something.

At night, in a deserted road Ishanya's scooty got punctured as she was going somewhere. She locked her scooty and started walking on the deserted road lost in thoughts and ended up under a car. She got a few scratches as she tried to get up a hand came in her rescue.

She looked up to find worried looking Omkara offering her hand to get up. She got up and smothered her dress without taking Omkara's hand.

Omkara started to follow her as she continued to walk and tried to talk to her

"Hey, Listen. Can I drop you somewhere? Asked omkara in a hope to give lift to her. In reply, she just nodded her head in no while walking.

He continued talking and said, "Please, listen to me. This area is not safe at this time of night. Let me drop you.

To this she stopped and looked straight at him in his eyes. "I am not lieing, there is a slum area near here and many thugs live there. He said to her making her understand. While she continued to look at him.

"Come, I'll drop you in my car Said Omkara pointing to the car. She looked at the car and then to him and said, "I can't come in your car in a broken voice trying to hide it but Omkara sensed it and said, "Ok, then. I'll walk with you till your destination. He said looking into her eyes.

She looked down and then started to walk without saying anything. He took her silence as yes and started walking beside her but she maintained distance and walked in the other end of the narrow road.

When they neared the slum area, there were a group of drunken men wandering there, this time she walked to Omkara and started walking just behind his back. Omkara smiled sensing her fear and nodded his head. After crossing the slum she again walked parallel to him on the road. Omkara looked at her and tried to say something but couldn't able to say it. He just walked with her looking at her, he doesn't have any idea about time. Ishanya looked at him when they reached her apartment. He didn't realized that they reached as he was lost in her.

He came to reality when Ishanya said, "Thanks while looking him. He managed to say, "It's ok. She walked into the apartment gate and turned around hearing him ask, "How to know, who deserves truth?

To which she looked at him surprised and then said, "Ask your heart, it will tell you who deserves. And turned around and walked into the apartment without looking back.

Omkara watched her going in with a broad smile on his face. He finally got the answer which was disturbing him from the past one month. After she went inside, he turned around and walked back to his car. Unknown to him, Ishanya watched him going from the window of her flat.

First hint of trust

In coffee day @10:58 AM, Ishanya is waiting for her order to be served.

Shivaay arrived with his body guards surrounding him and went to Ishanya's table.

Ishanya stood up to shake hands with him.

"Shivaay Singh Oberoi, CEO of Oberoi industries. Said Shivaay offering her hand.

"Ishanya Srinivas, M.D of Hindustani Fashion house. Replied Ishanya shaking hands with him.

They both sat down in their chairs and Ishanya's order arrived.

" Madam, here is your Coffee with extra whipped cream and your Sugar less Cappuccino sir! Said the waiter placing the cups infront of them.

"How do know about my choice of order? Asked Shivaay, surprised to know that she ordered his favourite.

"You are a celebrity Mr. Oberoi. So, people do know few things about you. And you are my guest here so, I need to take good care of you, right!! Replied Ishanya, surprising him more.

"Good that you know with whom you are dealing with. That assures me, you won't do a mistake by denying my deal. Said Shivaay showing his arrogance as she refused to meet him at his set time.

Ishanya just smiled slightly and took a sip of coffee and asked, "You won't do anything without profit. So, tell me. Why did you wanted to meet me?!

"I am here to offer you a deal. Oberoi's are entering into fashion industry, and we are giving you an opportunity to merge with us and launch your label here with us. Said Shivaay, with same arrogance.

"Oh! Mr. Oberoi, if you have said that in the phone itself I would have replied to you. You shouldn't have been here and waste your time. Said Ishanya surprising him and he thought that she is going to agree.

"I have told Nandita, to tell you that I am not interested in this offer. Never mind, I am telling you now, I am not interested' Mr. Oberoi. Said Ishanya shocking him.

"Have you already merged with someone?! Asked Shivaay trying to confirm the information you got.

"Yes. Said Ishanya, sipping coffee.

"I knew it. It's Mehta's right?! I don't believe you are choosing Mehta's over Oberoi's! I thought you have good business sense by checking your profile but you disappointed me with this decision. Said Shivaay.

"It's your mistake to keep any expectations from strangers, it always ends in disappointment Mr. Oberoi. Said Ishanya smiling slyly.

With this Shivaay got angry and yelled at her, "You don't know whom you are refusing, If I wish I can buy your company just by sitting here.

"I very well know that you are capable of it Mr.Oberoi. But to buy something it has to be on sale and Hindustani' is not for sale. Replied Ishanya very coolly shocking Shivaay to the core with her attitude.

"Please have your coffee before you leave, I need to rush now. Said Ishanya and stood up to leave.

Shivaay to stood up and said, "You are going to regret it and you are going to regret it very badly, just remember this!! by pointing a finger at her.

"Bye, Mr. Oberoi. Have a good day. Said Ishanya without leaving the smile on her lips and left from there.

After she left, Shivaay pushed the table down in rage and yelled "Damn it!!

He ran his fingers in hair and started to leave but stopped at the counter and offered his debit card to pay for destroying the table. But the counter man said, "Madam, paid for it sir!

"Not for the coffees for breaking the table. Said Shivaay and again offered his card.

"Yes sir, madam paid for the table too. Said the man making Shivaay run out of words.

Shivaay left from there and sat in his car making the phone calls. "Hello, I need the details of every share holder of the Hindustani fashion house' and that too in an hour. Said Shivaay in phone to someone.

"I will make you regret for this arrogance Ms. Ishanya Srinivas that too very soon. Shivaay said to himself.

Omkara and Rudra are hanging out in pizza corner and discussing about Shivaay and Annika's tiffs.

A guy came towards them while they were engrossed in themselves.

"Hey rudy!! How are you?! Asked the guy getting the O'bros' attention.

"Hey karan, I am fine. What's up with you? Asked Rudra.

Before he could reply he asked him to join and he sat with them.

"I am fine buddy. But what happened to you? I heard that you were hurt by a bullet!! He asked making them comfortable.

Before Rudra could say anything, Omkara replied, "There is nothing like that, karan. It was just an accident.

"But Om bhai, the media people were saying completely different story! Said karan.

"You know media people, they blow up everything out of proportion. Said Rudra.

They chatted for sometime and after karan left, Rudra asked Omkara, "O!! What happened to you, today? You yourself said a lie?!! How did this miracle happened?!!!

"We don't need to tell everything about us to anyone and everyone. Replied Omkara shocking and confusing Rudra.

"O!! You know na, that I can't understand this deep talks. But I am getting one thing. You are changing, slowly, slowly. Said Rudra. This time Omkara got surprised. He asked himself, "am I changing? For good? Or for bad?!!

In Shivaay's cabin. He was yelling in phone at some one. "What the hell are you saying? What's so secret about those share holders? You said some are foreigners then what can't you get to know about these secret share holders too?! Are you got mingled with Mehta's?!

After listening to the other side he said, "I don't give a damn about how you will get the information. But I need that information ASAP!

He rubbed his forehead and in frustration. For the first time he is scared to lose the deal. His bade papa have many expectations from him he couldn't disappoint him. And this merger is very crucial for Oberoi Industries if Mehta's are merging with Hindustani's'. He is tensed about this situation. He can't lose this deal and he won't forget the attitude of that lady. How dare she pose as a challenge for SSO?! He is not going to forget it easily.

At night in a deserted place Ishanya's scooter again got repaired. There was dark everywhere and top it up it is raining heavily. Her mobile's power too got off there was no light visible anywhere near the area. Ishanya started crying and shivering badly. She is on a verge of break down. Just then a light got shown from a distance. Ishanya looked at it trying to know the source of it. The light source was getting near her, she realized it a car was approaching her. This made her more scared and she closed her eyes weeping badly.

The car stopped before her and Omkara got down from the seeing Ishanya in that condition. He came to her and asked her worriedly, "Hey, are you ok?!

Hearing a familiar voice Ishanya opened her eyes. Omkara noticed her tears and his worry rose as she hadn't replied and just started to look down.

"Are you ok?! Omkara asked again. This time she nodded yes. But Omkara can clearly see her that she is not ok and she is very scared. He looked at her scooty and then at her and left and right to find any source to travel.

He looked at his car and remembered her saying that she won't travel in car with someone. He sighed and said, "Here, take my car keys and leave from here. And offered her his car keys. She looked at them with frown and then at him and nodded no and said, "I'll find some way. You may leave, please. In a shaking voice without looking up from the ground in an attempt to hide her tears. Both of them are getting drenched in that heavy rain.

Omkara said, "atleast go and sit in the car. At this Ishanya looked up at him in surprise and he continued saying, "I'll sit here. Pointing to the place she is sitting. He again offered her car keys.

Ishanya is now staring at him in surprise and took the car keys finally, when he said "please.

She took the car keys from his hands without touching him and stood up still staring at him. He got seated on her scooty and she turned towards the car. After opening the door of driver's seat Ishanya looked at him and said, "You can come inside the car, I'll drive. Surprising him. He smiled a little and went towards the passenger seat and opened the door. They both sat inside the car and Ishanya started to drive.

Omkara opened his mouth to say something but before he says, she said, "Please don't talk at all, please!! in a chocking voice not looking at him only focusing on road. He remained silent through the whole ride, none spoke a word. He even didn't looked at her once she said that to him to not make her uncomfortable to which Ishanya was glad.

Ishanaya, stopped the car after they reached her apartment. She got out of the car after saying, "Thank you so much. to Omkara. He changed to driver's seat and left from there after she went inside. And today too she saw him leaving from her flat's window.
