"Roli, what happened after that? Why do i feel that there was something wrong with that call?' Sid questions, his voice filled with anxiety.
"That call was indeed a trap for me Siddhant; I still don't know why Darsh did it to me. But when I reached my office, the officers from your department was already ready there to arrest me, for the crime of plotting against the nation and helping the opponent nation in operations to destroy the national security. Darsh was simply making a bait for me. I don't have an idea of how they made a lot of fake evidence. And you know what; a mail has been sent from my system to an opponent organization containing a master plan to knock down the nation's security. That makes it clear that someone out in the office has been helping those people and then...' Roli pauses briefly confusing Sid.
"Then what Roli?' Sid questions feeling some sort of hesitation in her tone.
"Sadly, even officers in your department is helping those killers. You don't know Siddhant, I was asked to submit that memory card, the only proof to let me out from this case. But I didn't because I knew you would come soon and I can share all these with you. ' says Roli in a low voice.
"Who? Who is that one helping those people?' Sid questions being curious but Roli doesn't speak up.
"Is it Abhishek?' Sid questions having a slight doubt.
"Hmmm.' Roli coos, while Sid nods his head in disbelief.
"Abhishek and I were always on the warpath, but I never thought that he could fall so low. This means he is also joined with Veer. Now I get it, trapping you was with two motives; one turn me against you. Second; get the evidence from you.' figures out Siddhant.
"Ya. But really, there are a lot of things still under wraps. And that only Abhishek and Darsh can tell. But before all that, I want you to bring out the truth of Madhumitha's death in to light Sid. It really chokes me; having seen that sight before me, I feel I'm responsible to give her justice. And that is only possible with the help of that memory card.'
"No Roli, not yet.' Sid says, his voice making Roli more curious.
"But why? Do you think we should hide the matter? It's not fair Siddhant.' Roli cries.
"Not that I'm telling to hide it. Such scoundrels have to punished and I'll make sure it happens. But here, before that we have to make plans to get you out of this fuss. You might have understood right, the memory card can just prove that Veer is guilty in Madhumitha's case not that you're innocent in the case filed against you. So first of all, we will have to work towards making you free from the crimes charged against you.'
"But Siddhant, it isn't easy!!!' Roli says trying to make him understand.
"I know it isn't easy but it isn't impossible right? Don't worry, I'll handle everything.' Sid says determinately.
"I don't know what you're up to Siddhant. But yes, I tell you this, I can't bear any harm on you. I can't and I won't!' Roli saying breaking in to sobs again.
"Roli Ssshhh. Don't cry. See nothing will go wrong. Okay?' Sid consoles.
But Roli is on her waterworks that Sid feels that her parents kept an absolutely apt name for her. Though she is a sherni, it doesn't stop her from crying and each time she cries, it naturally become s Sid's duty to console her. Ya, this time matter is serious, but to be honest, he doesn't like the idea of crying.
"Roli, stop your 'Ro'ing before I come there and give you a slap!' Sid unleashes a threat trying to ease her and at the same time divert her from the serious discussion.
"Huh?' Roli is all surprised by his words. Not that it is the first time he's saying something like this, but in this situation, she didn't expect him to come out with his regular dialogues.
"What huh? Is it even necessary to do your sobbing business always? I've told you I'll manage means I'll manage. And I'm not dead yet for you to submerge the city with your tears.'
"Siddhant!!!' calls Roli unbelievably. She still can't understand this guy and she's pretty sure she may lose her mind, but would never be able to do it.
"What???'
"You're crazy!' that's all Roli mumbles as a small smile comes on her face.
"I know. By the way, tell this, how is the place? Are you comfortable?' Sid questions switching to his concerned side.
"Ya, it's just that I'm tensed. Akhil and Shreya are so good. And their daughter, Nia baby. Such a chubby kid. She's already friendly to me.' says Roli, forgetting the tensions for a moment.
"oh that's so sweet. So you've already started learning babysitting. Good thing! Would definitely be useful in future. You know what I mean?' questions Sid with a chuckle.
"No. I don't know what you mean. Siddhant, how can you be so carefree when everything is so upside down?' Roli questions amused.
"Roli, I've always told you. Don't stick to your worries. Just do your bit and leave the rest. That's it. And now, it's super late. So just go and sleep. Leave everything else to me. I promise, I will set things right. That too very soon.' promises Siddhant.
"Hmm. good night. ' Roli says and is about to hang the call.
"Roli!!!' Roli stops as she hears this from Sid.
"What?' she questions surprised.
"I love you yaar!' he mumbles softly. Roli feels like crying and smiling at the same time as she hears him.
"I love you too na yaar!' she says emotionally.
"Then go, sleep now. Don't worry, everything is gonna be alright. Okay? Good night.'
"Hmm. Good night.' Roli says as she hangs up the call. She doesn't know if things may turn good or bad, but the fact that Siddhant is with her makes her brave enough to believe. Meanwhile Sid sits on the bed and pulls his laptop to work. He cannot sleep this night; for he has a lot to do for the next day.
