PROLOGUE
Khushi was crying all night and her husband was sleeping with all comfort without any worries. Khushi was crying and thinking to escape from Gujral Mansion again. She got up and took some money and went near the door and silently she opened the door and went to the gate. When she reached there she saw Abhi Gujral ( Khushi's husband) standing at the gate.
He kept his hand on her hairs and pulled her hairs tightly so that she should scream louder and louder. He kept his finger on her mouth and said, koi faida nahi hai chilake... yahan koi nahi aayega!! ( It will be of no use darling. No one will come here) and laughed evilly.
Khushi tried to get rid of him but all her efforts went in vain. He went inside dragging her to the ground. All Khushi did was to cry and requested to leave her.
Next morning Khushi made breakfast and tea for her so called husband.
As Abhi asked her to do daily she came and kissed him on his cheek and offered him tea saying, jaanu get up.
He woke up and looked at the clock and threw coffee on her face saying, it's 10 am and u are making me wake now?
He further said, Now go and get changed.
Khushi's face was burning but she didn't utter a word because she was used to this.
Khushi went and took a saree and get dressed in it. It was a plain red saree with golden border. It was Karwa chauth that day.
Karwa-Chauth: A fast which is kept for husband's long life.
Khushi came dressed well and asked her husband, Abhi can I go to mandir today as its Karwa chauth and I..
Before she could complete Abhi hugged her and allowed.
Khushi smiled and went to remove his clothes from wardrobe for his office.
