CHAPTER-24
REACHING THE DESTINATION
It's 7:30 in the morning and everyone is sleeping on their seats, suddenly, Ishana's sleep is disturbed because of sudden jerk of the car. She glances at Om.
Om---- Sorry! Meri vajah se uth gayi tum.
Ishana---- Nahi, vaise bhi meri need puri ho chuki hai! (she said while yawning)
Om smiled at her and continued driving. Ishana turned back to check if anyone was awake. First, her eyes fell on SHIVIKA, who were sleeping peacefully. They were snuggled close to each other and were looking as cute as sleeping babies. Ishana looked at them adoringly and then looked at the back seat, only to find SidRu sleeping like bears. Rudra's leg was on Sid's lap and Sid's hand covering Rudra's face. "BANDARO KI TARAH SO RAHE HAI, DONO!" , Ishana laughed at her own thought. She adjusted back at her seat. She looked at Om, he looked really tired because, ma 4th be because he was driving all night.
Ishana---- Om, tumhe neend nahi aa rahi hogi na?
Om---- Nahi, bilkul nahi! Jo insaan puri raat jaga ho usse neend thodi na aati hai! (he replied sarcastically)
Ishana---- Acha! Thika hai! Main samajh gayi! Tum aisa karo thodi der so jao, koi aur driving kar lega!
Om---- Sab so rahe hai Ishana! Hame unhe disturb nahi karna chahiye.
Ishana---- Haa! But sabko bhuk bhi to lag rahi hogi, kal raat se kisi ne kuch nahi khaya!
Om---- Aisa karte hai, agar yaha par aas paas koi restaurant ya dhabha ayega to rok lenge. Vaha par ham breakfast bhi kar lenge aur koi aur driving seat par baith jayega!
Ishana---- Ok! Main window ke bahar nazar rakhti hu! (with this, she started looking out of window without even blinking once)
An hour later, a dhaba come into their sight and Om stopped the car in front of that.
Ishana---- CHALO! CHALO! SAB UTHO! (she screamed at top of her voice to wake up everyone)
SidRu were least affected and Shivaay opened his eyes for a second, looked around and slept again.
Anika---- Kyo chilla rahi hai Ishana? (she said in her sleep, her eyes still closed)
ISHKARA shook their heads in the disbelief on getting this type of reactions.
Om---- Main kuch karta hu! (he said to Ishana and then turned at the rest) THIK HAI! SOTE RAHO TUM SAB! Ishana, chalo ham dono hi khana khana kha lenge.
Ishana---- Haa Om, tum sahi keh rahe ho! HAM DONO AKELE HI KHANA KHA LENGE. (she said the last part aloud to gain everyones' attention)
Rudra---- Maine KHAANA suna kya? (he said quickly waking up)
Anika---- KYA? KHAANA? (she shrieked loudly)
ShivSid also wake up on hearing this and ISHKARA smiled at their plan's success.
Ishana---- Haa, vo ham breakfast ke liye jaane wale the, lekin koi baat ni, tum sab so jao! Ham akele kar lenge!
"NAHI!" , ShivSidAniRu said together and ISHAKARA broke into laughter. Afterwards, they all got out of car. Only some people were sitting there and the dhaba was mostly empty.
They all took seats. ShivSidAni sat beside each other with Anika in the centre and OmIshRu opposite to them, respectively.
IshSidAniRuKara quickly started looking at the menu while Shivaay sat uncomfortably,surveying the surroundings.
Shivaay---- Ham kisi 5 star hotel mai bhi to ruk sakte the? Yahi kyo?
Anika---- Main yahi soch rahi thi... Ki Mr. SSO abhi tak kuch bole kyo nahi! (she said to herself, looking in her menu)
Shivaay---- Kuch kaha tumne? (he asked Anika, narrowing his eyes at her suspiciously)
Anika---- Nahi to! Lagta hai apke kaan baj rahe hai! (she said faking a smile at which Shivaay rolled his eyes)
Ishana---- Yaar, mujhe samajh nahi aa raha kya order karu? (she said with a confused expression)
Rudra---- Mujhe bhi!
Anika---- Main to soch rahi hu ki Aloo ka parantha try karu! Bahot tasty hota hai!
Om---- Actually, main bhi vahi order karne ki soch raha tha!
Ishana---- Chalo, fir main bhi vahi lungi!
Sid---- Main bhi fir vahi try kar leta hu!
Rudra---- Agar sab Aloo ka parantha kha rahe hai to main bhi!
Om---- Um.. Rudra? Aloo ke parantha oily hota hai! Teri diet ka kya hoga?
Rudra---- Aree... O, aaj mera cheat day hai! (he said smilingly)
Om---- Acha! Tera to har roz hi cheat day hota hai! (he said making fun of him)
Ishana---- To sabka order decide ho gaya?
Shivaay---- Nahi hua. Vo, actually mujhe yaha ka atmosphere kaafi unhygienic lag raha hai. Aur pata nahi yaha par khana bhi kaisa hota hoga? (he said making a weird face)
All turned to Shivaay and looked at him with fed up expression on their faces.
Shivaay---- Whaaat? (he asked in confusion)
Om---- Seriously Shivaay?
Anika---- Mujhe to pehle hi pata tha! Ki ye aise hi nakhre dikhane wale hai!
Shivaay---- Main kaunse nakhre dikha raha hu?
Anika---- Oh, this place is so unhygienic! (she mimicked him) Ye kaun bol raha tha?
Shivaay---- I am just saying the truth! (he argued)
Anika---- Dekhiye aap na... (she was interrupted by Om)
Om---- Guys, SHAANT! Tum dono kam se kam subah-subah to ladai shuru mat karo! (SHIVIKA kept their mouth shut but glared at each other) THANK YOU!
Anika---- KAKA! (she called out to a waiter)
The waiter came towards their table.
Kaka---- Ji madam?
Anika---- 5 Aloo ke paranthe! Aur thoda jaldi! (Kaka jotted down their order and left) Agar kuch logo ko nahi khana to vo na khaye! (she glanced at Shivaay)
After 15-20 minutes, their food arrived. Everyone took their paranthas well, except Shivaay. When everyone was stuffing their mouth, he just looked at them.
Rudra---- Anka di, aap sahi keh rahe the! Ye baht tasty hai! (he said with food in his mouth, causing everyone to laugh)
Sid---- Vaise, Rudy is right! These are just yummy!
Unknown to them, Shivaay's mouth was watering. After all, he is also a human being and feels hungry. But he just chose to ignore his hunger because he doesn't want to eat in a 'DHABA'. Anika caught him looking at her plate.
Anika---- Aise BHUKADO ki tarah mere khaane ko nazar mat lagaiye! Agar apko bhuk lag hi rahi hai to bata dijiye! Aap isme se le sakte hai! (she forwarded her plate n front of him)
Shivaay---- Maine kaha na I don't like such food and especially oily food! (he tried to resist her offer but internally, he could it whole of it now)
Anika---- Dekhiye, itni TADI mat mariye! Vo bhi mere saamne. Agar apko yaad na ho to apne Chandni Chowk mai CHOLE BHATURE bhi khaye the, jo isse zyada oily hote hai! (she said with attitude)
Rudra---- Bhaiya ne CHOLE BHATURE khaye the! Kya ye sach hai? (he asked to Sid in whisper)
Sid---- It's true! In fact, maine apni ankhon se dekha tha! (he whispered back)
Rudra was little shocked but said nothing.
Anika---- Apko khana hai ye parantha khana hai? Ya nahi? (she asked in a serious tone raising her eyebrows)
Shivaay---- Fiiine! (he said giving up)
Shivaay took a bite and placed it in his mouth. He closed his eyes in satisfaction and then started eating it like he was depriven of food for whole of his life. Anika smiled at him and then ordered one ore parantha.
Anika---- Pehle aap kha nahi rahe the aur ab aap akele hi saara kha rahe hai! Mere liye kuch bachega bhi ya nahi? (she said chuckling)
Shivaay---- You can share, I don't mind! (Anika glared at him and he laughed)
He kept the plate between them. SHIVIKA ate their food over light talks while IshSidRuKara exchanged grins.
After having their breakfast, all of them returned towards the car.
Om---- Ab main driving nahi kar sakta, mujhe neend aa rahi hai! To please koi aur drive karo. (he said yawning)
Sid---- No problem! Main drive kar leta hu!
Sid went and took the driving seat, Rudra beside him.
Shivaay---- Sabse peeche kaun baith raha hai? I am not going to sit there.
Anika---- Main to nahi baithungi!
Ishana---- Main bhi nahi!
Om---- Excuse me, Maim bhi peeche nahi baithne wala!
They all looked at each other.
Anika---- Ab?
Om---- Shivaay, Anika tum dono sabse peeche baithoge!
"KYO?!", SHIVIKA said in unison.
Ishana---- Kyonki pehle tum dono beech wali seat par baithe the! So, now it's your turn. (she said simply)
SHIVIKA couldn't argue with that.
Shivaay---- Enter inside Paanika, fast!
They both entered inside the car and took the last seat. After which ISHKARA sat. It was now 9:30 by they resumed the journey. They kept moving without any breaks in between as they were already late because of 'Goom encounter' earlier. But this doesn't mean that they were not enjoying the journey. SidIshAniRu would sing any song which would have been coming on the radio station, leading Shivaay to get annoyed while Om slept peacefully as he was tired. Hours passed and it was almost night now. All are quite with their energy drained out. They took a small break in between for dinner and then continued again. Some mire hours passed in travelling, all are sleeping except OmSid. They have entered Mumbai and about to reach Oberoi Mansion. After 1 hour of the infamous MUMBAI TRAFFIC, they finally reach their destination. Sid stops the car in front of the gates.
Sid---- Utho, ham pahoch gaye hai! (he said in a sleepy voice)
Om---- Ishana, Rudra, Shivaay, Anika! UTHO!
Shivaay wakes up on hearing Om's voice. He opens his eyes and found everyone has waken up but Anika is still sleeping with her head on his shoulder. He shook his shoulder making Anika open her eyes because of sudden movement. Anika sits straight, rubbing her eyes.
Anika---- Kya hua? Ham ruke huye kyo hai? (she said her eyes barely open because of sleep)
Shivaay---- Paanika, ham pahoch gaye hai! Neend se bahar ao!
Anika---- Kya? Ham pahoch gaye? Pehle kyo nahi bataya mujhe? (hint of excitement in her voice) Sab log phataphat utaro car se!
Everyone is little surprised on seeing her excitement but gets out anyway. Rudra is ordering the staff to transfer their bags to their rooms while Anika stand their looking at the majestic structure before her eyes, Oberoi Mansion. All of them stepped inside, all lights were off, well it should be as the time was 1:30 AM. They were really tired and just wanted to sleep right now. Rudra showed AniIsh the guest room while ShivOm went to their respective rooms and Sid shared Rudra's room. The night passed quickly as they all slept.
The next morning, after telling the chef to prepare something special, Dadi walks in the main hall and sits on the sofa. "Chalo, sab sahi salamat pahoch gaye! Abhi to araam kar rahe honge sab!" , Dadi thought to herself. That's when she hears someone calling her.
Dadi---- Prinku puttar! Aa baith mere paas.
A girl wearing a long blue top and white jeans with shiny little diamond earrings, which one couldn't help but notice, sat near Dadi with an attractive smile on her face and her doe shaped eyes reflecting her kindness and generosity.
Priyanka----- Good morning Dadi! (she greeted cheerfully) Maine suna ki Shivaay bhaiya aur Om bhaiya kal raat pahoch gaye the yaha par! Kaha hai vo log? (she asked excitedly)
Dadi---- Haa puttar, vo log pahoch gaye hai par abhi sab araam kar rahe hai.
Piyanka---- Sab se kya matlab hai apka? (she asked confused)
Dadi---- Aree.. Vo Sid, Ishana vagera bhi aye hai na!
Priyanka---- Acha! Vo log bhi aye hai? (she asked getting excited)
Dadi nods and smiles.
Just then, Shivaay comes there dressed in a normal black shirt and dark brown pants.
Priyanka---- Bhaiya! (she beamed excitedly)
She stands up and hugs him. Shivaay smiles on seeing her little sister after such a long time and hugs her back.
Shivaay---- Aur kaisi hai meri Prinku pehlwaan? (he said pulling away)
Priyanka---- Thik hu bhaiya! Aap kaise hai? Akhirkar apko fursat mil hi gayi mujhse milne ki! Itna time ho gaya ek baar call bhi nahi kiya? (she said pouting)
Shivaay chuckled at her pout and always so complaining behaviour.
(PS: In my FF, Priyanka's character will be a little different. Actually, a lot different. Here, she will be having more kind of bubbly personality and will not be extremely shy as shown in the serial. Because I think, like she is the only daughter and only sister, so it's like she is the most pampered one and 1 IMPORTAN THING: in my story she is elder than Rudra and is also in college but a different one. But Rudra doesn't call her 'di' and all. Well, I think all of you can relate with it)
Before Shivaay could reply her, Om also joined them and Priyanka hugged him and started with her blabbers all over again. They all sat down on the breakfast table now as IshSid also joined. But Priyanka got up to attend to an important call and left from there talking. Anika was the most late to arrive. She was wearing a yellow balloon style top and black jeans.
Anika---- Namaste Dadi! (she bend to touch her feet)
Dadi---- Jeendi reh puttar! Anika na? (she said caressing Anika's hair and Anika nodded)
Dadi gestured her to take a seat on the dining table which Anika followed politely. Dadi and Anika got into a conversation about simple stuff while everyone had their breakfast. Just then, Priyanka returned while cutting her call. And she froze.
Priyanka---- ANIKA??! (her face shows how much shocked she is)
Anika turned as she heard some familiar tone say her name.
Anika---- PRIYANKA?!? (she gets up from her chair and is equally shocked)
So, this chapter ends here! And next chapters will be having more of SHIVIKA! Thanks all for your love!
