Things had been going pretty well. Every morning Kripa would come in early and with Angad take Aaliyah to his Mother. Kripa found Angad's Mother; Naina, extremely sweet the lady took care of Aaliyah as if she was her own blood, and Angad's mother was nothing but beyond sweet and generous towards Kripa as well. The two hour ride which Angad and Kripa would have everyday had brought them much closer in ways. An Kripa adored how caring Angad was, she had asked about the car seat, she didn't expect him to have one and he told her that he bought it that day when he took Aaliyah and her the first time to his mother.
Angad had only dropped Kripa and Aaliyah home once because usually Kripa insisted that Angad just drop her of at the bus stop and she could take it from there. But the day Angad had dropped Kripa off he wasn't taking any excuses it was pouring outside and he wasn't going to let Kripa and Aaliyah wait for the bus in those conditions. When Angad had seen Kripa's house he was taken back it was located in the slumped part of Manhattan, the building seemed like it hasn't been looked after for ages.
He had felt bad seeing the Apartment building, Kripa had told Angad about the house in Florida and everything and it seemed she had a better decent and nice life. But to come down to living to a place like this must have been hard to adjust to. Kripa was afraid to ask Angad to come in, not that she was ashamed of where she was living but afraid if Kali or Sam would take Angad's presence the wrong way and Angad had understood that, but he wished a bit inside that he was the wrong presence in Kali and Sam's eyes maybe because Angad wanted Kripa in that way, and he didn't care if she had kids.

It was the weekend and Kripa had decided to bring the kids to Central park. She sat on the bench while she watched the kids play around, Kali was on the swings, Sam was playing with a bunch of other boys who were at the park and Aaliyah was playing with her Barbie dolls on the grass. The park was peaceful and relaxing, Kripa thought in her head that she should bring the kids more often here once school was over.
"Kripa?" Kripa's body stiffened she knew that voice very well, but she was afraid to look next to her scared she might be disappointed. Kripa took glance up at the person, Kripa immediately stood up.
"Oh my god, Kripa! It's me Riddhima!" Riddhima said as she saw the blank look on Kripa's face.. Immediately Kripa's eyes began to well up it was Riddhima, her Riddhima, her best friend! Kripa felt as if her inside would burst. Kripa hugged Riddhima and began crying, Riddhima held Kripa. God it had been so long since Riddhima last hugged Kripa, in a long time things felt in place for Riddhima finally.
"I'm so sorry! Kripa for…for just leaving you like that I shouldn't have, and I regretted it so much that as soon as the first semester at Northwestern University ended I came back to California to find you moved and Auntie and Uncle said they didn't know anything about you and…and I'm so sorry! You don't how empty I've felt the last ten years, I felt as if a piece of me was missing. I got scared that I might never see you again!" Riddhima said in one blow, she was choked up in tears of happiness. She couldn't believe her eyes, she didn't want to leave Kripa's hand afraid she'd disappear.
"Riddhima, its not your fault at all! I was so stupid to take such a hast decision. You were right I was young but I didn't think of that then and you had every right to be mad at me I would have reacted the same way!" Kripa pulled Riddhima into another hug as she finished her sentence. Kripa couldn't describe how happy she was at that moment, who knew a trip to Central Park would give her such a gift. Kripa pulled away and wiped her tears as well as Riddhima's tears.
"Enough crying, telling how have you been!" Kripa said while pulling Riddhima down to the bench next to her. "I've been okay, I'm a orthodontist now, yes I know ew poking at people teeth all day" Riddhima said with a laugh, Riddhima knew Kripa disliked a job like that. Kripa couldn't understand how a person could work with people's teeth all day how disgusting is that.
"Why am I not surprised!" Kripa said while laughing. "Do you live here?" Kripa questioned, hoping Riddhima resided in New York.
"Yes, I actually work in NYU" Riddhima's answer had put Kripa over the top, her company was just a couple of blocks away from NYU. Kripa was surprised, that Riddhima had been so close to her the past month and she hadn't even realized it.
"Seriously!? Oh my god! I work just a couple of blocks away from NYU, I work in Express Panoptic company!" Kripa said excitingly. Riddhima knew what company that was very well, it was one of the best companies in New York. The company had businesses with everything from food joints, to fashion, to hotels, the company was a multi task company having hand in various businesses.
"I knew you would do something with business!" Riddhima was so excited and happy she finally found her best friend after ten years.
"Mommy, mommy! I'm tried" Aaliyah said as she climbed onto Kripa's lap. Riddhima stared at the little child confused for a second, when she realized of course Kripa was married to Shiva. They had to have kid by now it's been ten years since their marriage.
"Awe, she's adorable. She looks just like you with maybe a hint of Shiva" Riddhima said with a laugh as she pinched Aaliyah's cheeks lightly. Kripa merely even noticed Riddhima's mention of Shiva's name she was surprised she didn't feel that jolt of pain that usually came with the mention of his name.
"Who are you?" Aaliyah questioned as she stared at the unknown lady.
"I'm your mother's best friend and um sister and you can call me um Riddy Auntie?" Riddhima replied with a smile.
"Okay Riddy Auntie, my names Aaliyah. I'm going to go play again" Aaliyah said as she kissed Riddhima on the cheeks and ran back to her Barbie dolls.
"Kripa you have a child! God where has time flown by" Riddhima said as she smiled and stared at Aaliyah. "You know I expected Shiva to get you pregnant as soon as you got married" Riddhima said with a bit of disgust, she never liked Shiva, but she had to admit he was calm, steady and etc. compared to Kripa at that time.
Kripa's face lost a bit of color when Riddhima said that, for the first time Kripa wanted to deny that she had kid so early. She knew how Riddhima felt about early age pregnancy. "Actually we did have a kid right after we got married" Kripa said a bit lowly.
"What!" Riddhima knew it that son of ugh. Shiva had always been possessive of Kripa, he and Riddhima both knew that the chances of Kripa and his marriage falling apart would be extremely likable, unless they had a kid and knowing Kripa she would never want do anything drastic while having a child to look after.
"Yeah, you see the girl on the swings with long hair?" Kripa said pointing out Kali "And you see the boy with yellow shirt playing with those boys?" Kripa said while looking at Sammy.
"What the hell! You have three kids!" Riddhima couldn't believe this her best friend was a mother of three kids. She should have knew that bas***d Shiva would get Kripa pregnant as soon as he can, he knew very well himself that Kripa's and his marriage weren't the most likable marriage to last.
"We had Kali right after we got married and Sammy a year later. Sammy had actually been an accident" Kripa said as she remembered the night when Shiva came drunk for some reason and kept telling Kripa not to leave him and Shiva's drunken state had lead things out of control which landed both of them in bed.
"Don't you mean Kali was a accident too!" Riddhima said a bit mad, Riddhima was positive that Kripa would have never wanted a child so early she knew that for a fact.
"Well it just happened I mean and I didn't really think of as it as a accident, I mean it just happened early then thought but it was okay I guess Sammy though was really not planned." Kripa said trying to explain that Kali wasn't an accident, but truth was they both were unplanned.
"Kripa there is a such thing called protection!" Riddhima said a bit furious, she couldn't believe Kripa was a mother of three kids and that too she became a mother at such a young age. Besides it being wrong in so many senses to have a kid so early, it was also harmful for the health of the women and child. Kripa didn't say another word she knew Riddhima's anger and the best way was to let her calm down, before you talk.
