naina n raj rushed 2wards d tent as d siren rang..."wats happening??" asked naina flushed.."emergency bell...dere must hav been an attack sumwhere.." answered rajeev...dey rushed inside d tent n reached where a huge crowd had gathered.."deres been an attack on the peak colonel.." sed shalini...."Soldiers!" called raj.."everyone get ready in 10 minutes FLAT...we're goin 2 d battleground.." "YES SIR!!" came the reply in unison...soldiers rushed 2 deir tents n took deir weapons...dis was war...real war...n dey had 2 fite it...no one spkoe,jus orkde...n in 10 minutes...dey headed out 2wards d peak amidst sounds of bombings cumin frm d top...

"dis is dusgusting!" cried one of dsoldiers...how can dey attack idout notice??" "dis is war..." sed naina..."not a frndly tennis match where ur given beforehand notice.." d soldiers rushed up d peak n assembled demselves,firing...pakistani soldiers n indian soldiers clashed in a heated battle..

bombs kept bein thron, n d air was thinsk wid smoke,fire sound...n death....bullets were fired, n all subtlety n respect were 4gotten..'we're behaving like animals...." nainas mind screamed...but she kept going......1 hr...2 hr...3 hrs...d battle continued....naina saw her frnds get hurt...alekhs foot caught wid a bullet...hudas shoulder injured..ali...pooja...d junior soldeirs...her heart thumped wid fear...wuld dey all die??? she made her way thru d bullet..firing n ignoring d scene around her...suddenly...she saw sumthing...a pakistani soldier...n....colonel rajveer singh shaekhawat...both pushing towards d peak end....wid a flag in deir hands..raj crried d indian tricolour n d pakistani soldier carried d pakistan flag..'of course!!' she realised...'if d flag goes up...we've won!!' dey were both edging from opposite ends n suddenly...sumthing happened...."STOP!!" d pakistani colonel called..."deres been a huge misunderstang....and a truce ahs been declared.." naina whipped round at dese words...

"truce..." she echoed....d colonel carried a microphone n a white flag in his hand..showing dat e wuldnt attack..."d bombing was started by a bunch of terrorists in dese areas....we thought dat d indian battallion started it, n d indians thougt we had.....our govts hav met....n under d supervision of d UN...an agreement has been reached upon...a truce has been declared..." naina, n d oder soldiers culdnt believe it....truce...??? she stared around at her fellow soldiers..."we wuld also like 2 extend a hand of frndship to dose very soldiers wid whom we were fiting a few minutes back as we were bound by constraints of duty....we welcum our brothers and sisters in india.."

dese words had a very strange reaction...an ordianry person wuld hav expected d indians and d pakistanis to jump up n scream dat it was dumb n stupid...but humanity, in all rites had finally shown face...n it shone like d brightest star in d night sky......uninjured soldiers went 2 help d injured n carry d bodies of d dead 2 security...indian...pakistani?? were dere ne such boundaries...a scene never thot of,or heard of before took place rite dere...as people..not soldiers lent a helping hand 2 fellow people....naina stared at d scene...touched...deep inside her heart...knowing,dat boundaries on land wuld always exist...but d heart...which held no boundaries...wuld always defy dem...a sudden gunshot ws heard as she turned round 2 see d pakistani soldier who was carryin d flag bein shot down...he'd nearly reached d peak...n he was shot down..but who..? she rushed upto him.."dont help me.." he murmured.."save ur colonel.." naina was puzzled at his words.."bomb..deres a bomb under dat peak...d flags gonna burst it.." n naina realised...d shot..fired by a terrorist..a bomb....which wuld kill raj..raj.....she gave one final squeeze of thanks to d soldeirs hand n rushed up...raj...

she panted up d hill...he culdnt put dat flag...no.....jus as she reached d peak..raj reached at d same time...n pushed d flag in...n "BOOOM!!"naina pushed raj out of d way..jus as d bomb went off...d entire peak blew up...as 2 flags rose into d air....d indian flag..n d pakistani flag...n 2gether..dey tumbled down d peak n stuck inside d snow rite at d peak edge...together...n as naina held onto raj...n raj held onto naina...deir bodies greatly injured..but deir minds n hearts alight wid happiness......dey saw wat was dere all along...2 countries...seperated in every possible way.....yet...sumwhere....sumhow...dese 2 countries managed 2 be 2gether....in its heart n soul....dey were one...deir ppl were one...n wuld always be...

d pain was excruciating...but naina laid her head on rajs chest...n smiled...her eyes closed...slowly...her body was full of pain...she culdnt move in neway..she knew sumwhere...felt...she wuldnt make it..but she still smiled.....as rajs held her tight...d darkness swallowed her.....
