"Mail!!!!" came a loud cry frm d entrance of d tent.....n all d soldiers rushed towards it....everyone had eagerly been waiting for it...n finally,d time came wen d mails arrived....cut-off frm d country in dis isolated mountainside wid no way of communication xcept for dese letters,it was a time of rejoice 4 d soldiers...

Naina watched d rush towards d mail area,n smiled 2 herself.....she knew her parents wuld hav written in...but she'd pick up d mail wen dis rush cooled down a bit.....it had been a day since her talk wid jhanvi,n since den,naina had been thinkin...she knew she had to find a way to make huda realise....she dint want him wasting away 4 her sake...it was a useless wait...but how 2 tell him....??? suddenly..she caught sight of alekh, n her eyebrows shot up,puzzled...

"alekh....yeh tum...i mean...tumhe kisi ne koi letter bheja hai kya...?" alekh luked up frm rummaging d sack of letters...."ek minute ruk..." his head went down into d sack n popped up a few minutes later....a crumpled letter in his hand,n a triumphant smile on his face.....naina noticed it.....d glow on his face,d flush on his cheeks....n she smiled.."divya ka letter hai na?" she asked....alekh luked at her...blushed...n luked down..."alekh...!!!!" naina squealed!!! "my god!!!main TUJHE kabhi is haalat mein dekhoongi...iske toh bas sapne hi dekhe the!!" "chal....itna toh apun ko vishwaas ho gaya ki sapne sach bhi hote hai..." alekh sed wid a wink...den,he took her hand n led her 2 a corner..."maine aane se pehle uski photo maangi thi...magar woh kehne lagi ki koi uski achchi photo nahin hai...toh apun ne kaha ki kya re...mereko toh teri saari photo hi achchi lagegi...toh usne kaha ki mere army-dost agar use jhalli bulaaye toh..??? toh apun ne kaha ki woh uska muh tod dega....aur.." naina began to laugh.."alekh....slow down!!!no need 2 run like a high-speed train!!" alekh stopped to catch a breath....."magar..apun ne usse promise karaaya tha ki woh apun ko letter likhegi,aur photo bhi bhejegi..." "toh jaldi khol!!" sed naina excitedly..."muhe bhi apni bhabhi ko dekhna hai!!!" alekh blushed at d word 'bhabhi' but hastily put his down wen he caught sight of nainas teasing smile...he busied himself wid opening d letter....n soon...took out a paper, n a photograph...he quickly stuffed d letter into his pocket..n naina noticed.."dont worry mr! main tera 'personal letter' nahin padhoongi!!" "woh...nahi.aisa kuch nahin.." began alekh..but naina laughed n snatched d photo... luked down.....n saw a lovely face luking innocently out of d picture....it was a very cute,child-like face widteasing eyes....an oval-shaped face framed by bouncy wavy curls.....rosy cheeks,a smile which showed a million teeth n d cutest ever dimple..."kyun???kaisi lagi??" asked alekh..."mujhe pata nahin tha ki.....i mean....main ne kabhi imagine bhi nahin kiya tha ki tu aisi ladki ko pasand karega...aisi ladki.." "kya hua..??" asked alekh rather scared..."dikhne mein lafda hai kya..??" "haan....bahut!" sed naina...." alekh luked shos=cked beyond words..."tere dekhne mein BAHUT lafda hai mr alekh sharma!!" n naina began 2 laugh.."kaise pataaya ise??? i mean..itni cute ladki tujh jaise lafange pe dil kho baithi???" n naina began to laugh...but alekh jus luked down n smiled...he stared at divyas phot...a luving stare...his eyes sed it all...n luking at him,naina was reminded...

sum1 used 2 luk at her jus like dat...d same kind of smile....d same blush on his cheeks...d same teasing luk in his eyes..yet....so much luv in dem.....she remembered it all too well.....dat luk used 2 say..'ur never alone...ever...i'll always be dere wid u...' but he hadnt been dere....n sumhow....naina felt alone...very alone..."alekh.." she sed suddenly.."main room mein kuch bhool gayi hoon...abhi aati hoon.." "haan..theek hai.." sed alekh widout lukin up frm d pic...naina moved away,not wanting him to see her tears....

"kyun?? felt bad na?" naina turned in shock,only to find ritu in front her...."cptn naina singh ahluwalia....bura laga....alekh ko dekhkar...use aur divya ko dekhkar...??" "ma'am.." began naina.."ah ha...DR....main ab tumhaari teacher nahin hoon..." corrected ritu..."dr..."sed naina..."aapka matlab kya hai..?" "matlab?" asked ritu..."haan..." sed naina...."matlab..." "naina...tum aur main dono ek aise insaan ko kho baithe,jo hum dono ki zindagi ka ek atoot hissa tha....tumhaara bhai...aur mera pyaar.....magar phir...koi aisa meri zindagi mein aaya....jisne mujhe mere gham ko bhoolne ka saahas diya...magar...phir...isi insaan ne tumhe bhi saahas diya....." naina luked down...not knowing wat to say..."magar tumne kya kiya naina?? tumne....uska dil tod diya.....aur sirf uska hi nahin...ek aur insaan ka bhi,jo tumse utna hi pyaar karta hai..jtna....jtna colonel rajveer karte hai...tumne uska bhi dil toda...aur woh??? woh abhi bhi tumhaara intazaar kar raha hai....aur uske intazaar ne ek aur ladki ki zindagi barbaad kar di..." naina luked up...jhanvi..how did she know.."i no naina...main ek psychiatrist hoon...jhanvi aur huda ko dekhkar jaan leti hoon...tell me naina singh ahluwalia..kya milta hai aapko itne saare dil tod ke???? kya aap apne gham,apni problems mein itni doob jaati hai,ki kisi aur ki koifiar hi nahin hai tumhe??? ur selfish naina...very selfish...aur aaj...isi ne tumhe is mod pe choda hai...tum akeli ho......bilkul akeli.....n u no it too..." n wid dis,ritu turned n left.....n naina...naina stared at her....jus stared....

she was alone...very alone....n she knew it...she'd lost raj...but...was it her fault??? n huda?? how culd she...how culd she jus accept his luv n not give it back 2 him...?? no....she culdnt do dat....but...wat else culd she do...naina stood,shocked,confused...n hurt.....n she wuld hav been left standing dere,if it hadnt been 4 a huge outcry....jus a few miles apart,dat jerked her to her senses...naina turned...n wat she saw,jolted her senses into action......n turned d surrounding crowd 2 stone....
