"Where is Sam?" Amma asked him
"She was upstairs, the girls didnt get along today" R&B said
"Even my daughters" Amma said quietly
MIL and SIL walked up the stairs quietly
II called out to him
"Can u please bring my phone da?" she asked R&B
He looked at her and nodded slowly.
Amma noticed that and became extremely edgy
"You both must be so tired" she said
"She did all the work" he muttered
"You must have watched the child no?" Amma smiled
"Well Sam helps out, we have Sofia" he smiled relaxing a bit
"I am sorry for talking like a concerned grandma. Ummm... I dont want you to mind" Amma said hesitantly
They paused, on the first floor lounge
The guests were thinning out
"She is afraid" Amma said placing a gentle hand on his elbow
"I understand" he nodded but didnt give in
"But what life will a lonely child have? You can wait 2, 3, 5 years, but I want you both to be hapy" Amma smiled
"Thanks" he smiled, fully...
"Sam you and Manya make the family complete" Amma nodded
"thanks" he repeated
"Vandu and her are very close. I sometimes dont know where an idea germinates, betwen the two" Amma chuckled
"That makes two of us" he smiled amused
He brought her phone back, walked Bala and Vandu to their car, promised to drop Shravu off in the morning. He had a "Animals of Amazon" camp at the Science center
"Tumhe leke jaana ho to ja sakte ho" Vandu teased him
"I dont mind" he said shyly

He hugged her "Always" he whispered

II was inside helping Sam change picking out night clothes for her
Manya was shut in the ground floor master bedroom romancing Makarand
When II came out to the car, Akka was seated
"Hey Amma ku sorry solly di" Akka worried
"I am not talking to her either" II whispered
She as bending down, talking in akka's ears
She straightened and stumbled and fell back on dude
"Hey sun uska camp hai if u are done with ur husband in the morning I have asked him to take Shravu" Akka giggled

Amma and Appa were downstairs with Ranjan now
Appa had heard about it from Amma and was joyous his daughter was done with one kid

Appa was a lil flustered a part of him wanted to enjoy that a part of him truly craved for more babies that looked like dude and II
"Hmmm... apdiya?" (is that so?) he asked feebly losing a bit of steam
"Yaar idea kudukara avalukku teriyale" (who feeds her this shit)Amma was upset
"Give her time" Appa mellowed
"I will... its only 3 months after miscarriage" Amma muttered

"If it happens once that doesnt mean it will happen again" Amma sighed
"Janaki had two and then she had her second, technically her fourth" Appa muttered

"Avala vara sollu" (ask her to go with us no?) Appa looked at Amma pleadingly
"I told her she said she will think" Amma suddenly remembered
"She can go with us to Janakpuri temple, Akka's house" Appa listed eagerly
II returned after sending off Akka
Amma and Akka were havinga cold war so no farewells happened
"Vareya?" Appa asked
"Umm... how about tomorrow Appa?" she asked, going in without stopping
"We can take her with us" Appa told R&B
"I am sure you can" he said with unconcealed smugness
"She is very tired, she needs rest" Appa said
"I think she has a bed here too" R&B said coolly
"Paaru dee ivaney" (look at him) Appa complained to Amma
Amma was making up her mind if she shud burst out laughing or defend Appa
"Umm... maybe tomorrow?" Amma caved in
"Maybe" R&B muttered casually
"She is my daughter you know" Appa said boldly
"Now, my wife" he said and let that twitch escape on one corner of his lips.
The twitch that sent Appa's temp soaring
It was past 1 AM when II went up
Lasya Manya and Sam stayed over, Tan had returned sooner since his parents were home and sulking.
He was reading on the couch twirling his hair, she carefully avoided a confrontation
Changing into her shorts and a tee, and prepping to go to the bedroom
"Did you announce your decision to your family?" he asked her in the closet after he finished brushing his teeth
"Umm... no" she lied
"Huh" he grunted
He wiped his face with a towel
The tee soaked with water...
"I am tired of celibacy II, its been over three months.
While we debate the now public debacle. of who said what. whose idea it was etc.. I would like to take the sting out a bit, and sex will help" he said firmly.
