It is not at all fair to say that marliese is with good intentions in her REPEATED visits!!!!!!!!!

Struck me to draw a parallel , not exactly a parallel, in fact the opposite but nevertheless a connect to the casual non committal sexual relationship that dude and M had before his marriage .

We know dude now. Foremost being he doesn't take shit and not the last, he knows how to cut his losses quickly. He has very few personal needs other a daily dose of sex , some books and a need for space to clear his head amidst mountain air. Yep !!l Life's good for him with this 'stuff' that he gets as was evident in the convo he had with his FIL. That way he is very very clinical compartmentalizing his feelings or the lack of it 😃 however one chooses to see him. But we don't know much about M. Only that he lived in with a lady older and that he had broken off with his girl friend probably 8- 9 months before he met II and So credit to him he did not straight away jump beds

For the first time M drove me to think what sort of a person she could have been just be the simple act of sitting down on the floor and engaging Nivi with some building blocks( for starters 100 times better than Mr. Iyer with his NEWSPAPER )

And before this ... her visit to the hospital to check on Dude before his wife arrived. Yes it was uncommitted sex both sides but it was for three to four yrs . It was monogamous, perhaps the utmost respect , that Dude had in him to accord to this relationship with her. It wasn't just hook up sex with multilple partners . That he did not cut his loss and stayed monogamous for that length of time he was with her and she with him says something about M. She doesn't appear malicious .We don't know how M compartmentalizes her feelings, but today she sees her ex having moved on , though now with a broken back but extremely content and settled with his wife and baby. Unless she is a stone, this should draw something out of her. Probably her reason for repeated visits not with an intent to harm I feel. Just may be what it could have been for her perhaps?!!!

Marliese , a contrasting parallel for me is the story of grain that went on to became the beer but not the loaf of Bread. Though Tragic or not from her angle? We might never know!!

He had a surgery she visited the hospital is understandable but why she has to visit his house. Did she inform dude or just showed up unannounced.😕 What will be his reaction seeing Marliese??

II is recounting M's visit the day before. Don't know what his reaction was but II had one after her visit which was to tell dude that she is going to dump him in Paris and go bk. He was unaware of her visit as she came unannounced and he was sleeping. But I don't think M's intentions are evil . When II pointed to her chai cup saying she loves drinking tea, M out of familiarity blurted out a stmt that he doesn't drink chai, quickly realized that such faux pas could hurt his wife and then changed it to a question.

The warrior princess is very possessive of people and as far as her Rakshashan goes she is very insecure. She needs constant reassurances. This visit of M can help rest some issues. It could help II understand that just as M walked in and and is surprised by the baby and played with NIvi the visit could have just been a courtesy call.
