Chapter 1
Taani stood in the balcony of her room gazing at the beautiful sunset, water flowing along the seashore with couples walking around hand in hand cool breeze blowing in the air. She signed as looked at them; she felt jealous of them. She wished she could have been one of them with her love but alas she couldn't.
She moved inside the room as she couldn't see people out happy with their love while here she was carving to even hear his voice.
Taani stood in front of their picture which he has framed beautifully during their first valentine day. They looked so happy with each other. A perfect happy couple.
She caressed the picture as tears made their way from her eyes.
"I miss you Rey. I miss you a lot." She whispered softly.
She misses him a lot but couldn't do anything. A lone tear escaped through the corner of her eyes as thought about him.
"Please come soon Rey!! Please come soon!!!"Her voice cracked.
She was feeling lonely it's been 5 years he left her; but he will always be in her heart. He didn't left her because of any misunderstanding or any break up but he left her with a promise of returning back just for her, for their love.
Living 5 years without him wasn't easy for her. Everyone told her he is not going to return because it was too long he neither returned nor he has sent any msg or she received any call but the hope she had was still alive and she knew he will return for their love because her Rey never breaks the promise he made to her.
She sat on her bed and looked at her right and there he stood in the photo frame smiling at her.
She took his picture and held close to her heart closing her eyes remembering their last meet, last hug and last forehead kiss filled with love.

They stood at the beach staring into each other's eyes.
Rey broke the news that he was leaving the city as he has got scholarship in US. Taani stood there absorbing the news as tears made their way from her beautiful eyes.
Rey hugged her rubbing her back telling her that it was for their future. He will show her father that he deserve her in every aspects. Rey stepped back a little when Taani couldn't take it much longer; she held his wrist and hugged him again and broke down crying.
"Hey, Look at me,' said Rey softly trying to break the hug.
Taani shook her head in no, "No please Rey don't go."
Rey somehow managed to break the hug but still Taani was looking down. Rey cupped her face and made her look at him and wiped the tears that were flowing non-stoppable.
"Oh god Taani don't , don't cry so much, I'll come back to you I promise, You are now making it worse now," cried Rey.
"Don't go please" begged Taani again.
"I have too," stated Rey. "This is for us, I have to do this, I have got the opportunity to show your father that I deserve you in every aspect, we will live our life happily. No one can separate us."
"Take me with you. We will run away from everyone. We will have our own happy life. But please don't leave me. I won't be able to live " Taani said as she hugged him tightly.
She can't imagine her life without him neither can Rey. But Rey wasn't going to give in so easily because he doesn't want to lose Taani so it will be better if for now he goes away from Taani.
He can't take Taani with because this will only lead to much more problems. He loves Taani a lot but that doesn't mean he will let her take such step.
"No Taani; running away will be very wrong decision and I wantto marry you with your father's blessing. I don't want you to lose your father. He loves you a lot." Rey explained her
"Taani Shh. Listen to me okay? I will always be there with you in your heart in your breathing. My heart and my soul belong to you."
Rey said looking deep into her eyes as tears were flowing from their eyes.
"I hate my dad Rey. I hate him. This is all because of him." Taani said hating her father for being an obstacle in his own daughter's love life.
"No Taani, he just wants you to have a happy life in future. He is worried for his daughter's better future. He loves you a lot and that's why he want a perfect partner for you who can fulfill all your wishes and treat you like a princess." Rey explained her as he doesn't want her to hate her father.
"No Rey he just loves one thing in his life and that is his reputation. He doesn't care about me and my feelings; all he wants me to do is marry a guy who has high status and will take over our company. He never cared about his daughter after Mom's death. She left me Rey and now you are leaving me. Please don't go. Please." She cried badly hugging him begging to not leave her.
Rey gulped a lump in his throat and took few deep breathes before speaking. Seeing his Taani crying his heart was crying, screaming to not leave her alone.
"Taani, Shh.." he rocked her back for some time and now could hear only hiccups from her mouth.
He made her look at him still in his arms.
"Look in to my eyes Taani." She looked at him and locked her eyes with him. They both kept looking until Rey spoke.
"Taani, I am leaving and that's final. I'm doing this for us Taani."
"What if you forgot me and someone else took my place in your heart. I can't afford to lose you Rey." Taani told her fear of losing him.
"No one and when I say no one means no one can take your place in my heart. You are only one and will always remain the one in my heart." Rey said looking directly in to her eyes.
Taani could only find love and sincerity towards her in his eyes.
"I'll come back for you." Rey whispered assuring her.
"Promise?" Taani put her hand forward in front of Rey.
Rey kept his hand on her and whispered, "Promise."
He moved forward and kissed her forehead slowly, Taani closed her eyes feeling his lips against her skin.
Rey looked at her closed eyes and took his time to save the moment and then slowly he took his hands off her and started moving backwards still looking at her.
Taani opened her eyes not feeling Rey's touch only to find Rey moving away from her while Taani stood there watching him leave.
Rey waved his hand biding bye to Taani and told her to wipe tears and put a smile by his hands.
Taani stood there until Rey disappeared in the darkness leaving her alone with the Promise.
