Causing II to end up deeply hurt. She was basically in shock after Tan left

She had been elated about the singing opportunity, but how her marriage had developed fissures was as much stunning to her as it was to Tan
R&B had left her alone after that
They were like two cars on a freeway, casually glancing at each other but not saying anything
Tan indictment was directed at both
II didnt care to dissect as to who Tan believed was more responsible
The house was full of people she couldnt avoid her husband or father in law or manya or Beeji
He went to bed with Nivi
She unpacked the bag she saw in the living room, books and papers spilled over
She sat down wearily
She couldnt tell anyone how much she cared for dude
They were not having an explosion this time

Beeji asked her to take her to a couple stores Jaggi and Pammi werent around, she took Nitin along and he spoke non-stop the next 4 hours
Beeji bought a ton of things for her family in Punjab
She bought II a bunch of suit material some a lil gaudy believing firmly II would lovely in them
"Khush hai?" she asked quietly at one saree shop
II was startled
She nodded politely, and then chased after a mannequin-disrobing-Nitin
"Dil pe na le kudiye" Beeji instructed causing II to tear up

"Kamakshi athai is a permanent fixture some days her grand kids too, since its summer, then Anna from Ambala then Mukund" Akka sighed calling her
II nodded realizing how pampered life was at MM
"Current kaathalendu 3 vaati poyachu" (there is no power)
"What happened to ur inverter?" II asked caringly
"Inverter la AC otta koodadu" (it wont turn AC on)
"Oh yeah" II nodded
MM had its on gen set in the back, Chanakyapuri had no power issues
"I was telling Bala I am going to Ishita's to sleep at night" Akka moaned
II felt terrible
"Come no? There is still 4 bedrooms empty" II jumped up
"No dee... I will have to bring my padai (sena)" Akka sighed
"Its 44C ka" Ii begged
Beeji asked about a dupata II smiled and did a thumbs up
Nitin was gaayab
Beeji realized dropped the dupatta and ran out
Ii did too
They found him after a good 25 min search, DOWN THE STREET
Ii cringed... reminded of how R&B spoke to her about Nivi throwing up oatmeal at Munirka
Beeji smacked him being the no fuss grandma
Nitin wailed, II quietened him and bought ice cream for him
The kid that was selling art work who Nitin was gawking at got one from II too for keeping the boy safe
Beeji smiled appreciatively at her grand daughter in law's generoristy
"U shud come ka... sorry I had to hang up the vaal ran away" she texted
"I will ask Bala... come over for dinner no?" Akka offered
"No... Sam wants us to"
"Her house has AC ofcourse" Akka mocked
II transfered her bags to her left hand and grabbed Nitin in a deathly grip and " NOT TRUE" she denied
They got home after roasting for a good 3 hours
Ranjan was already at Sam's she had sent a driver to bring him and Manya, as Dhyan was with II
Beeji narrated everything to R&B as he fed his daughter a popsicle
Nitin got one too
R&B did not react listening to the story
He is very naughty" II admitted quietly
He nodded
Beeji went up to rest, the house was a frigid 30C
She put Nitin on her lap and patted him down amidst Nivi's vocal disapproval
Nitin tried to fight his sleep as much as possible, and finally caved in
Nivi smacked his back
He woke up cried and went back to sleep
R&B held her until Nitin fell asleep fully
And bend down and picked the lil boy up to carry him to 1st floor
His face inches from hers bending down, II shut her eyes, steeling her body so as to not feel a thing
Willing herself... catching her breath
"Can u watch her too I want to go take a kutti nap?" she asked
He paused a cm from her lips, and breathed audibly on it
"Sure" he nodded quietly pulling away grabbing the 3 year old
They both felt it,they were so very close... the sensations were unmistakable... and irresistible
