My apologizies. The trouble is that I started revising the last part, and when I had first written it, it was quite appealing, but somehow now I don't quite find it up to mark. Hence, I have erased everything, and started from scratch. sorry, I will post it by Fri this week. I promise.

Part Fifteen A - Happily Ever After

Oh yeah, I'll tell you something,
I think you'll understand.
When I'll say that something
I want to hold your hand,
I want to hold your hand,
I want to hold your hand.

Oh please, say to me
You'll let me be your man
And please, say to me
You'll let me hold your hand.
Now let me hold your hand,
I want to hold your hand.

And when I touch you I feel happy inside.
It's such a feeling that my love
I can't hide, I can't hide, I can't hide.

Yeah, you've got that something,
I think you'll understand.
When I'll say that something
I want to hold your hand,
I want to hold your hand,
I want to hold your hand.

And when I touch you I feel happy inside.
It's such a feeling that my love
I can't hide, I can't hide, I can't hide.

Yeh, you've got that something,
I think you'll understand.
When I'll feel that something
I want to hold your hand,
I want to hold your hand,
I want to hold your hand.

March 23rd 2010

A wistful smile graced her lips, as she nested her hands firmly together, and cast the plastic bag aside, then proceeded to spread the cream onto the bread. Stirring the contents in the jar, she sprayed it on one side of the bread, and finally placed the piece aside.

Outside the wind blew harshly against the windows, as the jet soared higher, and higher. A dark web lay over the clouds, which had taken a pitch black color, and gave the impression that a heavy downpour would begin any second. While, the sun filtered in through the tiny windows, and cast it's web on the floor in patches, with the rays looking long and bright, full of energy, and life.

No, they weren't. She was just feeling a little too delighted, and edgy today for no apparent reason. Perhaps it was the flight, she mused, she was back at work, and what could be more perfect, and better than her job?

There was a distinct thrill an unexplainable joy in being stranded on a jet, which was miles up in the air, and which would take hours to land. A crazy wild thrill in flying through the clouds. And if she hadn't been an airhostess, she mused, she would have definitely been a pilot. Pilot was so cool. Way too cool. Flying through the clouds, peeking at the sun, and flying across the mountains, oceans, and the patches of land - made her appreciate the true beauty of nature.

Her gaze switched from the sandwich she'd just wrapped in a plastic bag to her watch. Resting her forehead against the door frame, she closed her eyes, as a smile twitched her lips, and she drew a mental sketch of her husband in her mind.

Hell of a handsome lad.

She chuckled. Hellishly? All right, she'd always had a limited vocabulary, and whatever little she'd, it could never conjure a word to describe her husband. He was simply perfect, magnificent, and rusty.

Rusty? She rubbed her temple lightly, as she grinned foolishly, she was acting so silly. Love sick, perhaps, she mused. She'd no idea, but she could already feel the jitters in her stomach at the thought of meeting him again.

Smiling fondly at the memory of the last time they had been together, she slid with ease to the corner, as the images of that night flashed in her mind.

****

Someone placed a quilt on her, and she stirred a little, then shifted lightly, and spread her head onto something. This was wonderful, she'd thought, soft, warm, comforting. It was a pillow. But, she didn't recollect having it under her.

Someone kissed her forehead, and she heard his magical voice, "Wait for me, love". She opened her eyes to catch his handsome face, "I'll be back." he said with a smile, as he lifted her in his arms, while she closed her eyes, and threw her arms around him, "Why do you have to leave Angad?" She could hear his heartbeat.

She didn't want him to leave. God, she threw her head back, and smiled sheepishly. She wanted to do so many things, she realized, as he placed her lovingly on the bed. She wanted to lock her in his, fall asleep every night in his arms under the moon, under the stars, and possibly on the beach. She'd just so much she wanted to do. Dream about him in the night, daydream about him all day long - when he wasn't there with her, and just lock every habit, every gesture of his in her mind.

His tone was slightly grave, as he announced, "Because, I have to" and held her hand in his.

"But, why?" She stubbornly demanded.

He sighed before he cupped her face in his hands, "Because I need to wrap up a few things" he smiled merrily, as he caught sight of her pouting, "Come on Kripa, it's not so bad. Before you know it, I'll be back." He said comfortingly, as he held her close, "I don't want to leave you as well." He sighed, "We have wasted a lot of time, Kripa. And from here on, I don't care what, but I want to spend every second of my life with you."

"Every second?" she asked incredibly

"Every second." He repeated in assurance with a smile.

"You mean forever?"

He smiled, "Forever."

She smiled at that. And at that precise moment she truly believed him. He really did love her. She could tell. She simply could tell. With the way he looked at her, as if he was proud of her, the respect, the warmth, and love clearly reflected in his eyes. He interrupted her flow of thoughts.

"Aren't you going to kiss me goodbye, Kripa?"

She frowned. She still did not like the thought of him leaving. Her heart simply couldn't beat without him. He was the only one, who could make it beat, who could make it flutter wildly in her chest, who could set it on fire, and draw all the butterflies in her stomach. She turned around stubbornly, "No," she muttered silently, "I'm not going to settle for anything less, Officer, you only get the kiss, once you're back."

He chuckled, as he bent his head, and kissed her cheek, "Just like Arin," he said laughingly, before his eyes turned a shade darker, as he whispered, "I love you, Kripa"

"I hate you"

"Liar." He chuckled loudly, "Beautiful liar. I'm so glad I'm aware of your special means of communication. A yes means a no, and an 'I hate you' means an 'I love you'"

Her pride prevented her from accepting it, and the fact that she was a terrible liar, in front of him forced her to give up the thought of lying, "If you are intelligent enough you won't make me wait for long, since I'll give up on you," she teased back, as she checked on Arin beside her.

"Darlin', you won't be able to give up on me."

"You arrogant PIG" she yelled out, while he grinned at her, "Glad to see the shades of the old Kripa" before she could conjure up an appropriate response to that, he was gone with a flash, and she playfully smiled, before she closed her eyes, and saw him again in the form of a dream.

The next morning she'd woken up thinking it was all a dream. A beautiful dream. Yet, his scent unmistakably lingered in the air. He'd been there, she realized, as she yanked the covers of her. With the butterflies in her stomach growing wildly by the second, she woke up on her weak knees, and made her way into the living room. Arin slept on the couch soundlessly with Mahen. Aaliyah slept on the chair. Lizy, and Karan slept on the small bed on the floor.

Resting her forehead on the wall, she closed her eyes, as she felt the bubble of excitement in the pit of her stomach burst out, and race through her blood. There was no need to check the bathroom, nor the kitchen. He wasn't there, and simply knew it. She could sense his presence. It sounded strange, but her heart was aware he wasn't there. It could tell. She didn't know how. Just that it could simply tell.

Returning to present, she sighed pleasantly, as she turned her gaze onto the tray. With a smile twitching her lips, she moved easily sideways, and placed the wrapped bags onto the tray. Loaded a bunch of cans, beer, coke, sprite, and some juices would do fine, she told her self, as she cast the plastic gloves aside. The watch read 1'o clock, precisely thirty minutes, since they had departed from Houston, Texas, which meant they still had about three more hours to go.

Flipping the cabinet door open she placed the wrapped sandwich inside one of the trays, and then straightened up her shirt a little, as Halle walked in.

"Son of a bitch," Halle said distastefully, as she turned the tap on, and placed her hands underneath the cool water, "36B is a jerk," she answered when she caught the look of confusion cross over her friend's face.

Kripa peeked outside from the curtain, "Hmm," she frowned thoughtfully, "Normally I would disagree considering it's wrong to go on the basis of someone's face, but this one does appear like a complete jerk-"

"Do you want to know who is a stunner?" Halle tilted her head playfully to the side, as she smiled pleasantly, "2B," Halle took a deep ragged breath, "Goshh" she sighed, "The guy is simply gorgeous, believe me he is damn good! I've never seen a Brad Pitt on a plane, but after catching this one I think the effect of Pitt would be a lot less. I'm telling you I'm going to have this face stuck in my head for literally years"

"Halle," Kripa pointed out playfully, "You say that about every guy you come across"

Halle immediately jumped up to defense, "Honey, you've got to see this one. And are you suggesting to me that the rest of the girls are fools like me?"

"Hold on, Halle" Kripa rubbed her temple absently, "Let me get this straight. All twenty nine girls are upstairs checking him out?"

Halle grinned brightly, as she shook her head in approval, "Everyone is huddled in that corner peeking at him. Jen, Sarah, Nalini, in fact, you're never going to believe this, but Jess went up to peek at his ring finger."

From Halle's tone Kripa could clearly deduce the result, "Good Lord." Kripa sighed, as she shifted to the side, and loaded everything onto the trolley. She grinned, "The poor guy is in trouble."

Halle smiled back, "I'm afraid the poor guy is going to have a hard time dealing with thirty girls stalking him, and all eager to marry him"

"I'm not included" Kripa stated delightfully, once she was done loading all the trays, "Don't forget that"

"Hun, if you catch sight of him – not only will you forget that guy you're so heads over heels in love with – oh come on, don't give me that look! I know some guy is stuck in your head."

"All right," Kripa said dejectedly, "As soon as I'm done wrapping the sandwiches I'll be there."

"Sandwiches can wait, honey," Halle said removing the bag from Kripa's hand, as she grabbed her wrist, and they marched in front.

"For Christ's sake Halle, just what exactly are we going to explain the 789 passengers boarding this jet when they demand for lunch? That all of us are huddled together catching sight of some cute guy – honestly, Halle we're not in high school anymore to do this."

"Then, we will have company darling" Halle announced delightfully, "Because all the girls will be eager to catch him, including all the grannies – oh I simply love their reaction! We will have lots of company, honey, isn't that just wonderful?"

"I take it all the married ones are also present up there"

"Of course, hun" Halle smiled, "Sarah is thinking of divorcing Ben, if this guy so much as even glances at her"

"I bet there is nothing special about him,"

"That is, if you perceive, tall, lean, muscular, as awful, along with the world's most breathtaking contagious smile ever seen on a guy, which can send any woman into coma straight away. And you've got to be awfully blind, Kripa, if you think this one is terrible"

****

She spotted him the minute she stepped in on the first level. His face wasn't difficult to spot, hell she could spot it instantly in a crowd of millions. Damn. With that small subtle, eyes which smiled mysteriously at her, and the freckles completely threw her off. Such men should be banned from stepping on the flight, she decided to herself, as she held her breath.

He smiled secretively at her, as he rose from his seat, and approached her. She wanted to so badly run in the opposite direction. There was no way in hell should he come any where near her when there were a bunch of redheads, and blondes standing beside her, who were much more beautiful.

Not me please, she prayed in her mind, please talk to someone else, not me. I'll have a fainting spell right here, if you so much, as even stand right in front of me. However, to her bad luck, all her prayers were unanswered, as he came, and stood in front of her. And she pasted a nervous smile on her face.

"Hello stranger," he said in that deep husky voice filled with amusement before he kissed her lightly on the lips.

She was too dazed to utter a word, as she blinked several times before setting her eyes on the rest of the girls, who stared back and forth between them.

"Have you met her before?" Sarah suddenly asked, as she looked puzzled, and several girls sent her an approving look.

"Met her?" He chuckled lightly in response to Sarah, and grinned at her, as he sent her a secretive smile. A message was clearly passed slyly, since Sarah immediately dragged the girls back out, and one by one all of them marched out leaving Kripa all alone.

She twisted her hands nervously, and looked up at him, "Wha-" she paused for a second, and then she sent him a cool smile, "I'm sorry Sir, but I'm already obligated to someone" she said flicking her ring finger in front of his eyes.

****

He stared at the ring finger with surprise, shock, joy, and with something unrecognizable registering on his face. And then followed her, as she began to unload some trays, and set them on the table, "I'm sure you're husband wouldn't mind."

She sent him a furious look over her shoulder, "I've to hand that one to you, my husband is an arrogant fat headed oaf, since he hasn't even placed me a call in a month."

"What a loser. I say forget him, and move in with me"

He was inviting her, she realized, god, she couldn't believe they were having this ridiculous conversation, "I appreciate the offer" she sent him a charming smile, "But, I would like to think about it."

He crossed the distance between them with a sigh, "I waited for your call," he said before he lifted the tray from her hand, and placed it on the side, "But it never came"

She smiled foolishly, "I was waiting for yours," she said finally after a thought, "And you were right I did miss you a lot"

"I missed you too Kripa, and I'm sorry it took so long" he said finally holding her hand, "I'd to wrap up a lot of things"

"That's fine" she said absently without realizing he was holding her hand, "I do understand your commitment, Angad. And I'm awfully sorry for being so demanding. I'm having a hard time settling that night in my mind. Do you understand what I mean? Things changed so suddenly."

He smiled wistfully, "Take your own time, Kripa" as he crossed the distance between them, and caught the tray almost on the verge of toppling from her hand.

"Thanks." She smiled back, once he'd loaded the tray in the cart, "How is Lizy?" she asked a second later, "She must be having a wonderful time with Arin"

"Yes, they are too fond of him." He started piling the trays on the side, and passed them down to her, "You can say he is the apple of their eye"

She smiled delightfully, "I miss him a lot. Just watch me steal him, once I'm back." She frowned, as she watched him load the trays, "Angad, you don't need to help me." She groaned, "I appreciate your help, but really, it's all right you can head back to your seat, and relax. You've had a long day, and you look awfully tired. Head back, and take some rest. I'll wake you up for lunch" She began to pull the tray out of his hand.

He pulled it right back, and grinned when she stumbled, "I insist in helping you, Kripa" He smiled, as he continued to load the trays.

"But, why?" She frowned. The guy looked so tired, and yet he was being nice enough to help her out.

"Since, once, I am back in my seat. I'm going to think about you" She raised her eye, and smiled despite her self, "And work on figuring out what you are up to, which will lead me to sneaking in with lame excuses to check on you, or check on every lady that passes by my seat – hoping it's you"

She threw her head back and laughed, "That's awfully sweet of you, Angad. Do you plan to give me diabetes by any chance? You are extremely sweet, seriously!" She absently passed him the tray. She would send him back within five minutes pretending all work was over.

"Hey, I'm being honest here. That's all."

"You're being honest?" She looked in disbelief, "Really? What do you have to say about my nose?"

"I'd rather lie on that one."

She laughed, and then recollected something, "I ran into Mahen the other night. He mentioned that he purchased an apartment just a few blocks away from my place."

"That's nice," He responded, then noticed Kripa's gaze shift to the door, he turned around to glance at the door. Thirty faces stared at him. "Hello girls" he sent them a charming smile before he was engulfed in a hug, and a series of never ending kisses.

There is still a small portion left Sorry. The second half should be posted by tomorrow night or latest by Sunday. This is all I could manage to put down for the day.
