PART 2
"Why all this happens to me mayee? Why only to me? What mistake I have done to bear all these?" asked Roli to the star that shined up in the sky. Her nani had told her that dead people appear in the sky as stars and that was she was speaking to the star which she believed was her mother. She was barely five when her mother passed away and it didn't take long for her drunkard father to marry vimla, a lady so cruel and greedy. She made Roli's life hell since her childhood and there was only solace to her amongst the miseries. Her nani. She told her stories and made her believe that one day she'll get something really good in her life. It was really a blow to her when her nani passed away 6 months ago after going through endless tortures by Vimla. And after that, her life was hell. She was made to slog day and night and still was punished for the silliest mistake. And amidst all these, she invited enmity from Simar whom she defeated in a local temple dance competition. Simar was rich enough and was married to prem. And then it dawned in Mathaji's head to make Prerna Sid's wife so that she will get all wealth of the Sharma's. Simar and Prerna was also happy as they knew how rich and powerful he was. But Prerna being ultramodern wasn't ready to carry a child and lose her beauty in the process. Neither was she or Mathaji ready to leave the proposal. So it was Simar's idea to bring Roli in between. Her grudge towards Roli was shown this way. As for Vimla, being aware of the huge profit she's gonna make in the deal plus the hurt Roli will get in it made her agree. And everything finalized. No one listened to the pleas of the innocent girl who had no word in this decision that would demolish her life forever. "Mayee...i wish if you had taken me with you...I would never had gone through all these..." said Roli silently as she felt a hand on her shoulder. She shuddered with the touch and turned back to see Siddhant standing gazing at her. Her heart started thumping hard; she never felt this nervous. He just kept gazing at her making her sweat slightly. "Why are you seeing me like this?' she asked in a low voice not daring to look up at him. "Just like that..." said him, his eyes still fixed on her gorgeous face. "You were crying?" asked him. She nodded no. She wasn't brave enough to face the punishment of crying now. "but I wonder why you're crying? There's nothing to cry about..Whatever happened are good and whatever gonna happen is even better..." he said. She felt it sarcastic. Really, was everything good? Being forced to carry someone's child and fake a marriage for the purpose, was it really good? And would it be really good when she will have to leave her child for someone else? She had right to think, but not the right to talk, thought her silently. She felt his hand on her face and that made her close her eyes involuntarily. She don't know, why his touch was creating havocs inside her. It seemed so warm and good to feel his touch. He lifted her face with his fingers and wiped the tear off her eyes. "Don't cry...i don't like it when you cry..." his words were soft, unlike the way Mathaji and others ordered her. He's kind at least for that, though he's killing he's doing it without hurting, thought Roli. He moved towards her face, the moonlight shedding its special beauty on their faces. She shivered as he caged her tiny frame within his strong hands. He hugged her and involuntarily she hugged him back. She felt it like heaven; to be in his embrace. "You're tired Roli...let's sleep...We have to leave for Mumbai right in the morning..." said him still hugging her. She came to her senses and wondered what she was doing. She swiftly removed her hands from him and turned against him making him smile. "Come on...let's sleep...Before that, you can change if you need..." he said gently. She wasn't expecting it. He was so soft, so gentle. He was acting as if she was really his wife. He wasn't forcing her for anything. Maybe he has some plans, thought her. "You wanna change?" he asked again. "No..." she murmured softly. "okay then..come..." he said and holding her hands took her to their bed which was finely decorated. "You better remove these ornaments...It's gonna hurt you..." he said. Not more than the hurt she is gonna get in few months, thought her. Yet she nodded and removed her ornaments keeping them back in the box which Mathaji gave her. She knew, this was not hers and neither did she need them. Sid was sitting on the bed until she had finished. She nervously sat on the bed not knowing his further actions."are you gonna See me whole night? We need to sleep...Come on..." he made her lay on the bed and covered her with the duvet. She had tears in her eyes now. "Sleep..." he murmured as he planted a light kiss on her forehead. She was so touched. Did he really hire her? Did he really know that she was just hired for carrying his child? Then her brain asked her, will all this happen without his knowledge? Whatever..She tried to console herself. He laid near to her and pulled her to his chest surprising her. "This..." she begun. "What???Sleep.." he said hugging her. She didn't know what to say. Seemed that her sorrows left all in a second. She wasn't feeling pain now. It seemed that everything was going to be fine. She didn't know what she felt, yet she closed her eyes as she was tired by the events already.
