Chapter 3 :
Sometimes we might be in love with a person and when we start spending time with them we realize that the person is not for them and I think that is the case with Arnav and Lavanya. When he got married with Khushi he was in love with Lavanya and when he is with Lavanya he is not happy. I loved the way Khushi replied to Nani when she asked her to take the Kangan. she is very strong.

Chapter 4 :
Atlast what I thought it has happened. Arnav is thinking about the past and is frustrated. Nani saw love in him but does he realize that he is in love with Khushi and even if he realizes it will he accept and will Khushi give him a second chance?

Beautiful story.
I love the maturedness shown by each one of ur characters.
Arnav respects khushi and is honest to her.
I love this khushi very much. She has handled everything so maturedly. She loves arnav but doesn't want to force him to love her back.

Your story reminds me of a beautiful line that says that you should let your love go away if that's what is needed coz if u have faith in your love and know that ur love is strong then one day it will definitely come back to you.

Just waiting to read more of your story.

Jagruthi,

What an amazing story, girl. I have read your earlier FF Lessons of Love on Arnav and Khushi twice back to back! Such an amazing one. This one I just managed all four chapters on the trot and as usual cannot wait for more! I understand from the response trail that you are on holiday. Hope you will update this one real soon. Arnav and Khushi both seem very interesting personalities in their own right. Arnav is entirely honest in owning up that he could not forget Lavanya. And this is the sort of thing that can actually happen in a relationship I guess. It is is really not anyone's fault. Khushi seems her usual beautiful self - self willed and respectful, and also (in this one aspect she is different from our Khushi of IPKKND!) very calm. She makes no fuss, leaves the relationship for their mutual benefit and is practical and mature about it. Of course, real life so seldom allows us to continue staying calm, and now she is facing a relatively awkward situation. Arnav seems to realize - and given that hindsight is after all 20 X 20 it is perhaps entirely natural too - that he has feelings for her still...is this love? Well, we all wish! Let's see what you have in store for us girl! Waiting!

Best,

Chapter 5

ASR knew not why but he was incredibly disturbed after last night. He failed to sleep much maybe it was the coffee stop after all or maybe his thoughts that couldn't come away from Khushi after seeing her in that manglastura and sindoor. He thought about her over and over again with everything around him this morning reminding him of her.

Even as he drank his morning coffee over the staircase of Raizada house (because he liked to walk around whilst drinking it) he failed to realize that he was perched over the staircase not just in reflection but he was watching Khushi down in the lounge as she went about her jobs.

A daze is what you could call it and unusual for the likes of Arnav Singh Raizada but there was one person who caught Arnav in the moment and it was nani. Nani who had wheeled herself out of her room caught her grandson watching over his former wife, whether he knew it or not his grandmother certainly knew that this could be nothing but love and love was something that had its way of finding one no matter how much he avoided it or resisted it or how oblivious he was to it.

...

Waiting in the drive way of Amans home that morning behind the wheel of the car he drank from another cup of coffee which wasn't has good as Khushi's but did the job whilst he waited for his friend.

He watched as Aman walked out of his house in his arms his adorable little daughter who he kissed goodbye and handed over to his wife. ASR had no Idea why but he imagined what it would have been like if he was still married to Khushi. Maybe they would have had child by now their family would have looked something similar to this but then when realizing just where his mind was going he stopped himself.

Those thoughts were a little worrying for a man who thought he was in control of his life, a man who knew what he was going, what he wanted in life.

...

He spent a lot of time at work, more than usual probably so he could keep his wondering mind occupied because for the first time ever ASR had no idea what his heart and mind were conspiring. Khushi Khushi Khushi is all that ever came to mind, was it guilt, a sense of wrong doing or regret? He knew not what it was only what he could feel and that was a natural inclination towards his former wife.

It was late at night when Arnav returned home, Khushi had left as per the time, his grandmother was asleep and the atmosphere in the house dark and silent. Arnav took note of the food Khushi had left him on the dinner table just as he is about to head up the stairs Arnav receives a call from Aman.

"There's something you should see ASR."

Amans voice telling of there being something wrong ASR switches on the TV, flicks over the odd channel to see a headline aimed at Laayavaya.

Images of Laavanya with another man are broadcasted on the news channel, images that are clear indication of her affair with another.

Bitterness, anger, resentment are minor in the light of the damage this had done to Arnav Singh Raizadas pride, his ego. Lavanya had single handily mocked him in front of the world and that would not tolerate.

He picked up his phone dialled Lavaanya's number which was unreachable at the time and left her a very uncompromising message. -"It's over."

...

News travelled fast, especially news about the wealthy. It was the certainly the talk of the town and by the time it reached Khushi's ears she on her way to work the next morning.

She didn't know quite how to feel about it, she had always thought Arnav and Laavanya made a good couple both of them were very business minded, modern, suited one and other aesthetically, she was very pretty and worthy of him.

When Khushi entered the house that morning his car was absent from the driveway so he had most definitely left for the office. Within the house the servants seemed to be be clearing out Laavanyas things. It was a peculiar situation for Khushi however she went about her job.

She made breakfast for naniji and when it was ready took it up to her room along with her medications along the corridor she heard servants gossiping about Arnav and Lavanya. Most of them bad mouthed Lavanya and commented on how silly ASR was to leave Khushi for her. Even though they spoke in favour of her Khushi could not tolerate the fact that they were bad mouthing him and something in her broke.

She was angry at the way some of Arnavs most trusted staff were being so disrespectful towards their boss.

Nani wasn't aware what Khushi had said to the servants but she knew that whatever it was it had silenced them.

As soon as Khushi walked into the room Nani switched off the tv that held news of

Laavanya that fact was that Arnavs grandmother was happy that Lavanya was now out of his life.! That her things were being thrown away and she was gone forever. The joy on the matter could be seen in naniji's eyes and she even seemed to discuss it with the maid.

Khushi ignored it, it was not her place to comment even if Nani ji would have wanted her to rejoice she wouldn't because it wasn't matter to rejoice on.

She stayed quite just going about her job. When Hp entered with a bag of what looked like Lavanyas clothes to ask what should be done with them nani suggested throwing them out but Khushi stepped in suggesting she would donate the best of them to a charity.

Her goodness as ever shining through on all occasions. Whilst the grandmother seemed chirpy of the goings on Khushi finally slipped into conversation something she wished to know and in a way that wasn't so obvious.

"Woh kaise hai nani.." - How is he?

She spoke like a wife whether she realized it or not.

-Tum toh Arnav ko janti ho bitya.. ghussa hai, unke ghurur ko chot lagi hai par theekh hai. (you know him well khushi he's angry, his pride his wounded but he will be okay. )

There was a strange silence for the moment after which the grandmother commented.

"Abhi bhi Arnav ki parva hai na tume khushi, ek patni ki tara uska zikar karti ho, uski

Bare mein kuch galat kaha jayey toh bardash nahin kar sakti".

(You still care for him don't you, you speak of him like a wife, you are upset when others bad mouth him just like a wife.)

Khushi didn't respond, she wasn't going to go down that route and so Nani changed the course of the conversation.

"Ham toh khush hai ke woh ladki ab hamare ghar ka hissa nahin hai."

(I'm happy that Lavanya is no longer in my home..)

Khushi ignored the last bit she simply went through Laavanyas clothes taking out those that were worthy of going to those in need whilst the grandmother continued to comment now on the clothes. Lavanyas clothes had very little to them and maybe that is why nani disliked them. However khushi always noticed how Lavanya looked perfect in her western attire, she could never see herself looking so apt and maybe there was an element of jealously at that. There was this one dress that Khushi came across that she always loved on Lavanya. A black English dress something Khushi had never worn in her life, fitted with no sleeves it was the one dress she saw Lavanya in and wondered what it would look like on her. Whether she would ever be able to carry off something like that.

Naniji could sense what was going on in Khushi. It was a beautiful dress after all worth a lot of money too and nani was always the mischievous type of person. Pehen ke dikhon"(Try it on)" she suggested.

Khushi wasn't too sure but It would be a good laugh she thought and decided too for it was something that intrigued her and there was nothing wrong in a little bit of laughter from time to time especially when things were so serious these days.

...

Next

When Arnav walks into the room to his complete surprise he finds Khushi and not just Khushi in his room but Khushi the way he had never seen her. In a dress that looked familiar lavanyas dress. It was a fast passed interaction Khushi wanted to try on the dress and leave her former husbands room as soon as she could and go show nani who now insisted on it but in all the hurry she walked into him.

The moment of familiar sort but also embarrassing awkward and unexplainable for the likes of Khushi.
