They arrived in Delhi on a rainy evening. Amma wanted to come with them to do some riwaaz.
But Mamaji was feeling uneasy and breathless due his BP shooting up due to all the wedding stress

The plane ride was uneventful. Adhya walked up and down the aisle as usual, Nihar played his video game without looking up.
It was a little odd for Neel to leave without Amma or Ruchi like this
His Bangalore Bhabhi had called in the morning to chat.
He had tried to hand the phone to Suvi but she had hung up "quickly"
Suvi was left staring longingly at his cell phone
He smiled awkwardly and tried to change the topic... "Phone par baat karke hamare kaan pak gaye" he smiled

No one called her, she wouldnt know...
Varsha had called last night asking which apartment her new life would be at.
Hers or neel's
She had informed her it was going to be Neel's house in NOIDA
"Samajhke kar rahi hey na tu" Varsha showed lil concern a bit late in the game
"Nei to tu koi solution degi mere ku?" Suvi cackled cynically
"Nei... means... Baba Aai bhi nei hei, bus... there is nobody na" Varsha stressed
"To? Mere ku fiqar kyon karne ka?" Suvi said boldly
Varsha swallowed
"Tu to aayi nei. You are my only family... means... you were the only family" Suvi said boldly
Staring out the window so the words would float outside and mix with the Chembur air, safely unnoticed
"Are they good peepal?" Varsha asked snottily
"Haan" Suvi said shortly
"Sure?" Varsha awaited a gush
"Mere ku pasand hei Varsha" Suvi said firmly
"I havent met anybody... Skype Facetime kuch bhi nei kiya" Varsha reminded
"Woh tera galti hei baba" Suvi said
"I want you to be happy... proper shaddi kara hai tune... so I guess" she stopped
"Chori ka shaadi hoye tu, fraud rehne ka kyon" Suvi laughed unaffected
"I feel bad Suvi... mere ku kabhi aisa hope nei tha ki teri shaadi ke saath ye sab ho jaane ka" Varsha appeared to be choking
"Thanks... par dont worry" Suvi said
"Aadhya khush hey?" Varsha enquired sniffling
Suvi smiled wide... "Baba rey... EK DAM MASTTT KHOOP CHHAN"...ATYANANDITA" Suvi's tone expressed her elation.
Varsha listened awestruck
"Mere paas both kam time ko aayi hey. Bus apne cousins ke saath, ekdam mast" Suvi said with pride
"Badi family hei?" Varsha asked a lil envious
"BOTH... Aneka naate sambhandamule... gongaata karanaara ati bolanaara" Suvi spoke loudly
"Aapalyasaathi chhan hotey?" (were they nice to you?) Varsha enquired and held her breath
"Avishwasaniya chhan" Suvi said breathlessly
"Kharancha?"
"poornapane" Suvi said choking up
"Kase tya manusa baddala?" (what about the man?) Varsha asked
"Vratya ani bolapatya" (naughty and talkative) Suvi turned red
"aapana awaja aanandi" Varsha stopped
"Barobar" Suvi whispered
"Beach pe gayi kya?" Varsha asked
"Nei, mee haata pakadale" (holding hands) Suvi smiled
Neel opened the door, the gallery light was on, the door was strung with marigold and rose garlands... there was lights strung from the gate to the door
Rains was lashing strongly
The kids hid behind a pillar
Nihar amused by Aadhya's antics, was smiling when no one noticed
The suitcases were still in the car
The second they opened the door, the lights turned on... and Gags and Preet and the kids and the cook aunty and a couple of Gags' neighbors squealed
"SURPRISE"
Suvi looked shocked at first
Neel grinned happily
"Hamey laga khaali ghar milega" he said
"saale lagega kyon nahi tujhe.. you dog" Gags hugged him warmly
Preet dragged Suvi
"Oh sorry sorry.." Preet smiled sheepishly reaching for a thaali.
The house was lit up with diyas everywhere.
"Teeka karoon na" Preet giggled
When they were done.. Neel turned to Aadhya and said "aa jaayen beta andar" and walked inside
Nihar stood on the other side of the pillar and turned hoping it was for him
But Neel turned and walked inside holding Aadhya's hand...
