Part 1 - Anjali's meeting with Cricketer Sachin
Present: Arnav and Anjali had lost their parents at a very young age.
Flashback:Their dad Arvind Malik partnered with Avinash Malik, their paternal uncle who is very greedy, cunning and deceitful. Arvind had to go out for business tour. So he gave the responsibilities to Avinash to take care of the empire while he is away. That is what Avinash wanted. As soon as he left for the tour, his chacha slowly and gradually took over the business and the house and made everything solely in his name. After Arvind returned, he was shocked to to learn that Avinash had cheated him in his absence.
Arvind: Wicked man, you have betrayed my trust.
Avinash: In business, these things do happen. But yes, you can work for me. If I am satisfied, I will make you a director.
Arvind: I have put the efforts & you are making me your servant. What made you think I will do that?
Avinash: It is left to you. If you don't work for me, it will be a loss for you. But if you work for me, it will be beneficial to both of us but I will be benefitted a little more.
Arvind reluctantly agrees to work for his brother till he finds out some other alternative or get back the business that he lost. But he has to take another house on EMI basis. Daadi shifts to the ashram without caring for anyone.
He takes a rented house as his brother had captured the house & would not allow them to stay with them. Unable to bear his brother's tortures, he thinks of getting out of the situation. He then gets an idea. Luckily, he had got the contract from the business tour & decides to work on them to rebuild his business all over again. He leaves his brother's company & establishes his business once again. Daadi rejoins Arvind.
Avinash learns this & becomes insecure that his Arvind will snatch his business. He comes to Sr. Malik saying, "You have proved yourself though I've cheated you. I have done injustice to you. Please forgive me."
Arvind: Oh you have come to me because I have rebuilt myself & have got money. I am ashamed of calling you as my brother.
Avinash: I know that I have betrayed your trust. Please give me a chance. I promise you in the name of my eldest child.
Shubhadradevi (Daadi) intervenes saying, "What has happened has happened. Just as you are my son, he is also my son. Who will make false promises in the name of their children?"
Arvind reluctantly agrees. Avinash takes them home and gives the same right to Arvind as he had before. He makes the necessary changes in the legal documents and merges both businesses sharing 50% of the profits. He gains his Arvind's trust once again but starts scheming in a different way.
Avinash gets attracted to Arvind's wife, Ratna Raizada and looks for an opportunity to get her. One day, Arvind goes on a business tour once again to meet the clients. Daadi goes to the temple with Jr. Malik's wife. So he is with his sister-in-law.
Avinash: I have a severe headache. Can you give me a cup of tea with ginger.
Ratna prepares the tea and comes to the room. Avinash misbehaves with her and rapes her. Unable to bear the disgrace, she commits suicide by hanging herself with a note.
Arvind and Shubhadradevi reads the note after coming back and are shocked. He gets into a fight with his brother but dies of heart attack.
Daadi goes back to the ashram once again not caring for her grandchildren. Avinash throws Arnav and Anjali out of the house. Devyani, who is a grand-mother from their mother's side, accommodate them. Arnav opens a small garage and repairing the electrical items to support himself and his family. Anjali has a passion to become a doctor whereas Arnav dreams about having a huge empire & teach a lesson to his uncle by purchasing Sheesh Mahal & gift it to his Di.
Present: Both Arnav & Anjali work hard & top the University. Anjali is MBBS. Both go abroad for further studies & return to Delhi. Arnav establishes his business to the International level & Anjali starts her own hospital.
Journalists interview Arnav asking him irrelevant questions but Arnav said, "I don't have time for these idle talks."
One lady asked him, "When are you going to marry?"
Arnav said, "None of your business."
Arnav's uncle gets into the scandle losing all his wealth & property. He has huge debts & tells the broker to sell the house to pay his debts. Arnav offers the broker to buy the house. The broker informs Jr. Malik that no one else is ready to purchase the house except for Raizada. Jr. Malik said, "Fine."
Arnav buys the house. Later, his uncle learns that Arnav had brought Sheesh Mahal when his entry is restricted.
Arnav comes out to meet his uncle. His chachu requests him, "I am in a bad condition. Please don't throw me out of the house."
Arnav: You have sold the house & I purchased it. So the deal is over. I have learnt from you there is no place for emotions in business & that is what I'm doing now. I lost my parents because of you & you didn't show any mercy to us when you threw us out of the house.
One day, one of the cricketers named Sachin comes to Anjali's office to get his back treated. Anjali treats his back & tells him some back exercises in which pain can be avoided. Both get attracted to each other.
