I'm not regular with this story - for obvious reasons. Fiction is escape for me and this one is too close to my real life.

When This notification peeped through I decided to click on it. Gald I did.

I got a birthday card a few years ago. A handwritten one from a 42 year old that said " thank you for letting me know I don't come with a " BEST BEFORE 40" label. It's your birthday but I'm the one that had got the gift!

The past week here I met my ex and his Wife/ GF or whatever dropping by to see my sick Brother in law that my Sister in law and I look after here. I was proud of myself that actually walked off after a handshake with the lady and nod to the man. Pandit not remembering Nupur I think those things happen when you have been a good spouse. Loss is not tainted by guilt.

Coming back to the card.. I wonder why happiness you seek should come with priorities. Pandit appears a good man and I Suvi a survivor. The journey must be interesting.

Mine here has been bonding over losses in life and living life.

The part of town I live in there are absolutely zero Desis, I dont see any in grocery stores or parks or hardware stores
20 miles from my house there are about 400 families I am told
