A lovely little girl was holding two apples with both hands.
Her mum came in and softly asked her little daughter with a smile: "my sweetie, could you give your mum one of your two apples?"
The girl looked up at her mum for some seconds, then she suddenly took a quick bite on one apple, and then quickly on the other.
The mum felt the smile on her face freeze. She tried hard not to reveal her disappointment.
Then the little girl handed one of her bitten apples to her mum, and said: mummy, here you are. This is the sweeter one.

No matter who you are, how experienced you are, and how knowledgeable you think you are, always delay judgement. Give others the privilege to explain themselves. What you see may not be the reality. Never conclude for others.
Which is why we should never only focus on the surface and judge others without understanding them first.

Those who like to pay the bill, do so not because they are loaded, but because they value friendship above money.

Those who take the initiative at work, do so not because they are stupid but because they understand the concept of responsibility.

Those who apologize first after a fight, do so not because they are wrong but because they value the people around them.

Those who are willing to help you, do so not because they owe you any thing but because they see you as a true friend.

Those who often text you, do so not because they have nothing better to do but because you are in their heart.
One day, all of us will get separated from each other; we will miss our conversations of everything & nothing; the dreams that we had. Days will pass by, months, years, until this contact becomes rare... One day our children will see our pictures and ask "Who are these people? "And we will smile with invisible tears because a heart is touched with a strong word and you will say: "IT WAS THEM THAT I HAD THE BEST DAYS OF MY LIFE WITH"

Curiosity & Coughing

Suvechha forced him to drop her after work on Monday evening

She spent Monday asleep, the lady chef was home at 10, she opened the door for her, showered changed into clean clothes

Aadhya had left home with Nihar at 8 when Neel went to work
Preet was going to entertain them all day she was told

The cleaning lady came at 8 after Neel left, and she wondered who opened the door for her when she wasnt home
She asked and was told they usually came by one time after Neel returned in the evening

He must pay a lot she thought, the bathrooms were scrubbed everyday, clothes were thrown in the washing machine, taken up for drying, dried on the lines on the terrace

The ones that needed folding were folded and put away, the ones that needed ironing were taken to Preet's or to the ironing guy

The cook, made multiple things for Nihar since it was summer vacation

She was a great cook Suvi wondered if she had her own restaurant at some point

She smiled but shook her head shyly

She came twice she was told

Again at 7 ish to make Neel tea and snacks, and cook dinner from scratch
And clean up the kitchen at night

Neel had a good routine going she noticed, her cough was really bad this morning, she couldnt control it

When the maid and cook left at 10, the house sparkled, it was on a quiet street
There were no hawkers even during the day

To Suvi such silence was unheard of

Aai Baba's house was a block from Nasik main market bus stand

Thane where Rutwik and her lived the apartment was in a noisy lower middle class society
After she left Rutwik she didnt live in Malabar Hill, This was like how people described Malabar Hill

The house was brand new, with fancy fixtures and fittings and walk in showers and huge bath sinks made of copper

The frig was enormous, every room had a wall TV

The bai tried to make conversation with her "Rishte mein hai saab?"

She shook her head

"Jaan peychaan hai?" maid enquired with blatant curiosity

She nodded, coughing

"Dilli rehti hai ya NOIDA?" the next question

"Jyaada door nai" Suvi said politely

"Pados mein jo hai unko jaanti hai?" maid asked

Suvi nodded confused

"Inke pados mein jo hai woh yaha aati rehti rehti hai" maid said about Preet

Suvi didnt know if she was trying to tell her something

If she was it was quite pathetic, Suvi thought

Preet had not given her one reason to hate her

How many times she came to Neels house when Neel was here or during his absence was none of her business

Suvi just quietly packed her toileteries when the maid cleaned her bathroom

"Hawai jaaj mein aaye aap?" she asked

"Nai" Suvi said
She wasnt chatty by nature

After encountering multiple relationship catastrophes Suvi's urge to talk had somewhat shriveled up

The maid paused multiple times as she swept and mopped her room

"Gharwala nahi aaya?" she asked

"nai' Suvi said

Quietly slipping out to the terrace
Coughing endlessly

The heat was oppressive, almost 50C
She couldnt stand bare feet

She returned, and served herself a bowl of khichri the cook had made served herself some dahi and took it to the living room

Turning on the fan kicked on the AC
It was like magic

This was like a dream...
whenever Nihar came for something Aadhya followed him like a puppy

"Nihad and I are playing" she said firmly

Suvi nodded

When the women left she didnt know if she could bolt the door on the inside

Preet told her it was a number combination and anyone could open if they knew
Preet TEXTED HER THE CODE

"Mere ko kyon use karne ka hai mai to chali jaayegi"

"Neel ko itna dukhi kiya usne aapko Mumbai transfer kar diya?" Preet asked

Suvi laughed hysterically

"Both funny hai aap" she said

"Aapko hasaana mushkil hai"Preet said

"Mere par hasna nai"(but its very easy to laugh at me) Suvi said some what spontaneously and then cursed herself for being so philosophical

Preet didnt respond to that text...

Suvi went to bed, coughing

Slept until 5, like she was knocked out

Made herself some tea, the cook returned Preet unlocking the front door for her

Saw Suvi pack her things away

"Aadhya khaayi lunch?" she asked

"Pasta maanga dono ne, yaha aunty ne dono ke liye tava pizza banaya, I came to get it u didnt know u were asleep she said smiling

"aadhya shud not demand" Suvi was shocked

Preet sat by her on the bed, as she coughed

"Dont try to change her Suvi" she said softly

"Maangne ka nai hai usko" Suvi insisted in a cough induced coarse voice

"They both like each other a lot u cant control that" Preet said firmly
Suvi blushed, and then realized Preet was talking about Nihar and Aadhya not HER and Neel

"Nihar ke saath kyon competition karne ka?" Suvi was troubled "He asks u for stuff because he knows u, she should not"
"She does everything he does" "She talks like a boy now" Suvi was agitated "Aapko rudely baat karti hai" she said

"U dont have to be afraid of me Suvi" Preet said softly

Suvi looked out of the window sadly...

"Kal Mrs Singh ko bolegi "mere ko nai khaane ka hai, she will not like it" Suvi reminded her

"Mere ghar chhod do usko summer mein" Preet said kindly

"Aapka day care hai?" Suvi asked startled, embarrassed that she didnt offer to pay her
Preet laughed out loud

"I dont... I love her, I have two, I have three including Nihar... so Aadhya bhi?" she smiled

Kaisa hoyega? I live near Akshardham" "Plus aapka free mein help lene ka nai hai mere ko" she smiled coughing

"U are so cautious Suvi" Preet said looking at her thoughtfully

"Jaane ki tayari hai?" Preet asked

"Evening ko... Neel ke office se ane ke baad" she said calmly

"U are still coughing so badly" Preet said

"Ghar par karegi main cough" Suvi smiled shyly with the look of "I dont need Neel's help to cough I can do it by myself in my apartment"

ID update!!!! Yaaay!!!
Wow, Suvi is still very sick, but still very insistent on returning to her place!!! Jeez Suvi, only Tai is waiting for you there. Are you sure you want to go home??😕 You are half frightened that she will let Aadhya hurt herself. How can you recover if you are worried about Aadhya? I don't know if Suvi is thinking all of this thru. 😭

Preet is just so freaking sweet...🤗 Its almost like she is the elder sister Suvi deserves-not the one that she actually has...

Thank you for the delightful surprise update Nisha. We have missed Suvi, Neel, Aadhya, and Nihar and the ID family this week!!!
