Two Horses !
~ Author Unknown

Just up the road from my home is a field, with two horses in it. From a distance, each horse looks like any other horse.

But if you stop your car, or are walking by, you will notice something quite amazing...

Looking into the eyes of one horse will disclose that he is blind. His owner has chosen not to have him put down, but has made a good home for him. This alone is amazing. If you stand nearby and listen, you will hear the sound of a bell. Looking around for the source of the sound, you will see that it comes from the smaller horse in the field.

Attached to the horse's halter is a small bell. It lets the blind friend know where the other horse is, so he can follow. As you stand and watch these two friends, you'll see that the horse with the bell is always checking on the blind horse, and that the blind horse will listen for the bell and then slowly walk to where the other horse is, trusting that he will not be led astray.

When the horse with the bell returns to the shelter of the barn each evening, it stops occasionally and looks back, making sure that the blind friend isn't too far behind to hear the bell.

Like the owners of these two horses, God does not throw us away just because we are not perfect or because we have problems or challenges!

He watches over us and even brings others into our lives to help us when we are in need...

Sometimes we are the blind horse being guided by the little ringing bell of those who God places in our lives. Other times we are the guide horse, helping others to find their way...

Good friends are like that.. You may not always see them, but you know they are always there...

Please listen for my bell and I'll listen for yours, and remember...

Be kinder than necessary .

Everyone you meet is fighting some kind of a battle.

Live simply,
Love generously,
Care deeply,
Speak kindly...

FOR WE WALK BY FAITH AND NOT BY SIGHT

In spite of the front he projects, it's Neel I feel who is having a harder time processing his feelings for Suv.

He is wanting to hear from his FIL as to how he came to the conclusion that Suv likes him or what his FIl talked abt in the balcony. He is waiting to see what came out of her mouth in reply to his FIL ... On the other hand we have Suv who is more candid abt her feelings at the same time accepting or telling herself that she cannot or does not want to do much under these circumstances.

But with Bhuvan taking the initiative and both now knowing that Bhuvan has got their pulse and eyes alert , they cannot walk on egg shells around it for much longer.

Good day and Good evening all.

True this Kalpana. Bhuvan is trudging along with determination. Despite his loss and the ensuing trauma associated with losing a child, he is clear in what he needs to do for closure quite selflessly. Raagini on the other hand wants to keep her daughters not only memory alive but everything associated with her In sort of a slow grieving mode just so her own pain and feelings of loss are validated. It is a difficult process to let go and start anew but for Neel and nihaar to be sane and live the rest of their lives fully, they need to step forward and not be taken backwards and he needs that push from those who were closest to Nupur. This would assuage his own feelings of guilt to a large extent. You know how we sometimes want others to say what we are thinking simply to justify it to our own selves!

Very few people can be like Bhuvan - thinking at a higher level - continue the happiness of the loved one would have wanted than holding onto the loved one life as is. He wants his daughter's loved one to be as happy as if she was around. He sees a son in Neel and not a SIL. Hats off. I'm so impressed by his character. ⭐️
Reminded of Anu and her Ranjan love :)
Ragini is a simple mom unable to let go off her daughter. Nothing wrong. But when u have a comparable like Bhuvan, we can make her villainous easily. She is just being a loving mom missing her daughter 😭

Comical or carnal connection

In the excitement of the moment, urgency to play with a couple other kids in Suvi's society Nihar didnt dwell much on his lost soccer ball.

There was no formal park in the society kids played in empty car slots on the concrete paving, on the asphalt, just like most societies, kids were least important from the builders standpoint
When Ragini and Bhuvan returned from their walk, it would be around, 10:45

"Chalen beta?" Ragini asked Nihar and Maneet

"Bauji said we can play until midnight" Nihar kicked the basketball pretending it was a soccer ball

Ragini looked at Bhuvan "Aapka ghar chalne ka iraada nahi hamey lag raha hai" she smiled

"Waise soccer ball kahan daali aapne?" she asked Nihar

"Dad ne fence oopar kick kiya aur woh kho gayi" he said

Suvi admired the good Hindi he spoke

"Uncle ne bada kick maada aur woh..." Aadhya waved her hands

Ragini bend down and kissed her cheek

"Aap chalengi hamare saath?" she asked

"Aai bhi?" Aadhya held Suvi's hand

"Chaliye Aai ko bhi le chalte hain" she smiled and picked up Aadhya

Aadhya hid her face in her hands, shy

Neel took her from Ragini and hoisted her up high on his palm, she laughed deliriously

"Uncle tdee jaisa tall hai Aai" (tree) she exclaimed stunned

He brought her down and smiled at her

"U are cute" he said

"Aai calls me masti khor" Aadhya said sternly in Marathi
Neel laughed hard, until his body shook

"I think I know how she would say that" he said kissing her fat bulbous cheek

"Mai leftover laati hai" she said

Ragini smiled, amused at her Hindi

The society crowd was thinning now

Bhuvan hadnt told Ragini what convo happened between him and Suvi
He detected Ragini was "not quite there" yet in her journey post loss

"I have to use the bathroom" Maneet jumped up and down

They all laughed "Since the trip is so long, lets all go up" Neel chuckled

Suvi was already up

Tai sat in her favorite spot

Thankfully Suvi brought her keys with her, otherwise she was sure Tai would have pretended to be asleep turning it hugely embarrassing for her knocking on the door with guests by her side

Tai had shut out all the lights and sat like a zombie
With no TV on

Suvi was startled a bit, she hit all the lights and the cooler
And completely ignored the woman, went to the dining table and found the bhaji container open with a serving spoon in it

Like Tai had eaten out of it

She was furious

Ragini lingered... waiting for Tai to say something
She didnt

"Hindi kam bolti hai, aur tantrum jyaada karti hai" Suvi said quietly

Ragini was awkward, so was Bhuvan at the anti social behavior

The boys went to the bathroom, Aadhya wanted to go to the same bathroom, she wanted to be like them so bad

Suvi wandered both bedrooms and picked up the boys play things

Neel paused by the door of the second bedroom

"Thanks or dinner Suvechha" he said

She was reminded that he was a guest afterall

They would all leave and the house would turn still
Aadhya on her ipad or asleep
Tai frozen
And herself all alone again

"You are welcome. Tai ne leftover kha liya thoda" she said quietly

"It doesnt matter" he said following her out to the balcony

She needed a few minutes to get over her feeling of sadness
Closeness to Neel was quite unexpected

Closeness to Neel's in laws? Gagan and Gurpreet? Their kids?
Unimagineable...
She had turned into a recluse after leaving Rutwik
Minding her own business mostly in Mumbai...
In the last 1.5 in Delhi Gomez was the only person she knew well, besides the two girls at work

There was no way they would all stay tonight
There was no need to
There was no connection
Out in the living room...
Her daughter was jumping up and down on the divan begging the boys to stay.

She was jealous of what his son had despite having one parent

"Nihar ki aap best friend hain?" he asked

She looked at him curiously

"He texts with u?" he asked

"We have a "comical" connection" she smiled "Get it?" she asked referring to Naren Noodle and winked

"Uncle mere ko bole wo Mothers Day par nai rukne waale" she said

"She has a job to go back to, so does he" Neel said sadly

"Nihar ka kya hoyega?" she asked disappointed

"Aap hamesha Nihar ki sochti hain?" he asked his eyes twinkling like stars in a clear night sky
Her heart fluttered like a trapped butterfly on a sunny afternoon

"He is the co author of our comic strip" she said weakly

"Suvechha... " was all he said
She leaned on the tiny balcony rail and moaned out loud
Just the effect of the passionate word...

"Dad can we stay?" Nihar ran up and begged, panting...

"Can we?" Neel asked Suvechha jokingly as she choked imagining the implication
