"I have a good team... I shud be able to manage" Ranjan said slyly
"So u dont care to cancel it?" R&B asked unemotionally
"Ab toone kar diya to chhod" Ranjan tried to be cool asa cucumber
"Umm... I had to send them copies of the contracts you had with them... is there someone in legal I can talk to?" R&B asked professionally
Ranjan stared in awe at his son
Nothing shook him... well his wife did... proof?
The broken vases and the noisy destruction they caused upstairs yelling at each other
"Lunch karega?" he asked his son boldly
R&B wasnt sure how to answer that
"Zyaada door nahi" he promised
"I have calls at 2" he said carelessly
"1:50 par laut aana hai humne" he said
It was only 11:40 and he got up
R&B followed him out
"Indian khaayega? Chinese?" he asked his son
His quiet youngest shrugged
Held the elevator door open for his tall Dad
Mrs Sagar smiled surprised
"Hello" R&B smiled nodding back
"I am going out to lunch" Ranjan said smugly
Mrs Sagar smiled shyly... he looked and acted like a 10 year old
Ranjan hit 5 on the exec elevator
"Can u go get her?" he asked his son
"U are kidding" R&B said
" Kyon? woh roz ghar se laati hai khaana" Ranjan defended her
He was generally pissed... seeing her was going to torment him like... um... bleep
He walked over nodding to a phone-talking Bally
He winked and waved
II sat staring gloomily at her a daughter's pics on her monitor
He knocked
She turned and turned red
"What do u want?" she asked
"YOU" he wanted to say
"Looks like u have a lunch date" he said referring to Ranjan
"I have dabba from home... wrong cube" she said snarkily
He walked inside
She quickly minimized the window and got up
"I have a date already" "So umm... yeah... I cant go with u"
He paused, leaned on her cube wall
"WHY are u leaning so much? U dont have to pose for me" she accused
"Huh" he grunted
"I cant go with u" she said smugly
He nodded leaving
She picked up her purse, and tightly clipped her badge to the strap

She was just not happy
She walked to the elevator ignoring him walking a few steps ahead
He had taunted her last night, challenging her to tell Sam to back off
Ranjan stood by the elevator on the phone
"Chalen gudiya?" he asked smiling
"Mera treat hai Dad... theek?" she nodded
"Chaliye jee changa" he nodded looking at his son
"I told him I cant go with him" II whispered conspiratorially
"Chal theek kitha puttar... usko apni gaadi mein aane de, hum dono teri gaadi mein chalte hain" Ranjan said
She turned to R&B stunned
So Ranjan had invited him?
