Ch 45 : His Protectiveness
"Rey! What i have heard about your fight with mr. kumar? Is it true?" Ranvija questioned his son angrily. They had just returned back home from office.
"That bas***d deserved the worst. Instead of complaining to you, He should be thankful that he is alive-" Rey told his father, his father didn't missed the hatred and disgust in his voice.
"Rey, what had happened? Will you tell me clearly, Mr. Kumar is going to file a police complaint against you-" Ranvijay said to his son while other family members were shocked after hearing this. Taani clutched her husband's arms tightly as she heard her father in law's words.
"Let him do whatever he want. No one is going to believe him over me." Rey answered casually.
"But Rey, what had happened that you beat him so much. He is hospitalize-"
"What? Rey?" Avantika was shocked hearing about her son's doing. It wasn't like her son.
"Mom, that creep, he crossed his limits. He asked for a night with her in exchange of deal. I couldn't control myself-" Rey felt disgusted to even spoke this. He still couldn't believe how can one have such low thinking. Other family members were shocked to know about it where as taani shifted close to her husband, in protective shield of his arms.
"Taani, are you alright?" Avantika asked her concernedly when she saw tears in her eyes. She knew its hurting her to hear such thing.
"Taani beta, don't worry. I'll handle mr. kumar." Ranvijay spoke lovingly, feeling protective over her.
"But what if he filed complaint against him?" Her voice croaked, worry rose in her heart for her husband.
"Don't worry about that. He is all bark and no bite." Ranvijay assured her, then he signaled Rey to take her upstairs. Rey nodded and took her upstairs in their room. He locked the door and moved inside. He sat on the bed and pulled her in his lap.
"Relax, baby. Nothing will happen."
"Pakka?" Taani asked him innocently. Rey smiled and nodded in response.
"Super pakka. Have some faith in your husband." Rey whispered softly, he tucked a strand of her hair behind her ear and kissed side of her forehead. Taani rested her head on his shoulder and wrapped her arms around him.
"Get freshen up, I'll bring our dinner here-" Rey said to her, Taani tighten her arms around him, hugging him tightly.
"I'm not hungry. Don't move." Taani mumbled softly, she buried her face in crook of his neck.
"But i'm, sweetheart. And i'm not going to eat without my wife, so let me go and bring dinner for us." Rey said to her, unwillingly though, taani got off him and watched him leaving the room. She prayed to god to keep problems away from her husband and their family.
