There,at the door stood Sharon and Kria.And their expressions clearly said they weren't happy with what they had seen.
Kria went downstairs while Sharon glared at Taani and Rey and followed her. Taani placed the bowl on the table.
She was about to go downstairs but Rey held her wrist and stopped her.
"Main bhi aaunga."he said.
"Par rey..aapki tabiyat thik nahi hai.Aap yahi rahiye."she replied.
"No.I want to hear what they have to say."he said firmly and stood up.
He went downstairs with Taani following.He glared at everyone.
"Ab kya chahiye tumlogon ko??Joh bola woh kaafi nahi tha kya??"he questioned all of them angrily.
"Humein chodo.Yeh yaha kya kar rahi hai??"Sharon asked him,looking at Taani.
Before Taani or Rey could answer,Kria stepped in.
"Yeh toh abhi yaha aayi hai.Ab tak aapki asliyat jaanti nahi hai.Atleast yeh toh sochiye,ki yeh aapki best friend ki behen hai."Kria said surprising Taani.
Rey glared at her. "Asliyat toh main nahi pehchaan paaya.Tum sab ke so called 'Bharose' ki asliyat." he growled.
"Bharosa toh humne bhi kiya tha terepe.Tu hi baar baar todh raha hai.Atleast Taani ko toh chod de."said Nilesh.
"Nilesh!!Main khud yaha aayi thi.Inhone mujhe pakad kar nahi rakha hai chodne ke liye."Taani said sharply.
"Exactly.Wahi toh hum keh rahe hai! Yeh hai hi aise. A cheap casanova."Kria seethed.
Rey looked at her shocked.
"Kria!!"Taani yelled.
"Chillao mat Taani.Kria sahi keh rahi hai.Hum sabne dekha hai.Apne inhi aankho se."Simmi said.
Taani was about to retort when she stopped midway and looked at Rey.He looked like he had seen a ghost.
"Ab aise mat dekh jaise kuch pata hi na ho.Tu kaisa bann gaya hai yeh hum sab jaante hai. Ham toh yaha Swayam aur Sharon ke kehne par aaye the. Galti hogayi."Vicky said.
Rey looked at Swayam and Sharon,with tears in his eyes.He couldn't understand anything.He felt weak,both mentally and physically.
Swayam was staring at his sister,while Sharon appeared frustrated.
"Aur tum bhi yeh galti mat karo please."Kria told Taani. "Believe us.He isn't worth any of this care or concern."she glared at Rey.
Taani was about to confront her when Rey clutched his head.
"Aaa.."he cried causing Taani to rush to him before SwaRon could take steps forward.
"Rey!!"she caught him before he could collapse.
His eyes were almost shut and his forehead was covered with sweat. She placed one of his arms on her shoulder and supporting him,slowly lead him to the guest room,as he was in no condition to walk upstairs to his room.
Taani helped an exhausted Rey lie on the bed and covered him with the blanket.She caressed his hairs for a moment as he fell asleep.
Then wiping her tears,she went outside to give everyone a piece of her mind.
"Kya samajte ho aap sab khudko??Kuch bhi bole jaa rahe ho!!"she shouted at the gang.
"Tum hampar chilla rahi ho??Jaanti bhi woh kaisa ladka hai??Taani in case you don't know,main unki girlfriend thi.Kisi aur ki na sahi meri toh baat maanlo."Kria tried making Taani understand.
"Acha??Thik hai aap hi bataiye kaise ladke hai woh."Taani challenged her.
"He has no respect for girls.Joh aadatein kabhi thi hi nahi,pata nahi kaha se aagayi.Sabke saath rudely behave karte hai,kisi ki kadr nahi hai.Peete hai aur aisi ladkiyon ke saath bahar jaate hai jinhe sirf unke paise aur looks ki padi hoti hai."Kria said disgusted.
"I know."Taani replied calmly. Sharon who had been about to say something looked at Taani,stunned.
So did the others,except for Swayam who remained silent.
"I know everything.I have seen him behaving rudely with Bhai,Bharat and others.I have seen him drunk and I have seen him with Aaliya."Taani said.
Aashi stared at her shocked. "Yeh aap kya keh rahi ho Taani??"she questioned Taani.
"Sach keh rahi hun."Taani answered her.Now tell me something new Kria??"she turned back to Kria.
"Taani are you crazy??Yeh sab jaante hue bhi you were actually feeding him??And you are supporting him on top of that??"Kria asked her in disbelief.
"Ji haan.Because I TRUST Rey. Unlike you.Aap toh unse pyaar karti thi na??Aapko kaisa yeh yakeen hogaya ki Rey sachmein aise ho sakte hai??"Taani retorted angrily.
"And you guys.Rey ne hamesha aap sabka saath diya hai.How can you'll not believe him??"she questioned the gang.
Everyone looked at her incredulously.
" I am pretty much sure ki Bhai aur Sharon ne aap logon se kaha hoga ki unhe aapki zarurat hai,ek baar unse baat karke dekho,etc. But let me tell you guys,you'll have already failed him.Badly."Taani stated coldly.
"Par yeh kehne ka haqq tumhe nahi hai Taani."Sharon said sharply.
Taani looked at her surprised.
"Tumne apna haqq tabhi kho diya tha jab tum Rey ko chodkar gayi thi.Tum uski life mein premanently toh rehne nahi waali.You have your own life.Afterall you are engaged to someone else.Kuch din mein toh yahase tumhe jaana hi hai."Sharon pointed out the facts icily,shocking Taani into silence.
"Sharon you have no right to talk to Taani like this."Swayam told her.
"But am I wrong Swayam??"Sharon questioned him.
Swayam had no answer.
"I am right."said Sharon turning back to Taani. "Tum Rey par trust karo ya na karo iss baat se koi faraq nahi padhne waala.Because neither do you have a place in his life nor does he have any in yours. If anyone needs to trust him,its his friends and his Love,Kria. That is what I and Swayam are trying to get them to do.Because they are going to be in his life,FOREVER.You can stop interfering." her words pricked Taani's heart hard.
Kris stared at Sharon,stunned at her speech.
"Taani aur Rey??"she thought to herself,unaware about their past.
Before Sharon could say another word,Swayam held his shocked sister's hand and took her away.Sharon glared after the duo and walked away with the others leaving as well.
What Sharon did not realize was she was lucky that Rey was asleep.😛
At Shekawat mansion,
Taani walked in,still in a trance as Swayam closed the door and stepped in front of her.
"Taani..kya hua hai??"he asked tenderly, cupping her cheeks.
Taani looked up at him.Tears began flowing again.Swayam took her into his embrace.
"Shhh..calm down."he whispered rubbing her back.
"Bhai..Sharon kyu aise baat kar rahi thi??Woh hoti kaun hai kehne waali ki mujhe haqq nahi hai??Rishta tut jaane se haqq bhi chala jaata hai kya??"Taani cried,pulling away.
She sat down on the sofa while Swayam knelt in front of her on the floor.
"Koi Rey ko samaj nahi paa raha.Sab bas unhe sunate jaa rahe hai.Yaha tak ki woh ladki joh unki girlfriend thi woh bhi.Jaha bharosa hi na ho woh pyaar hi kaisa.Aur Sharon unhi ka support kar rahi hai??"Taani questioned.
"Nahi Taani..Sharon bas Rey ke liye worried hai.Uski baat ka bura mat maano.Usey lagta hai tum zyada din tak yaha rehne nahi waali.Aur Rey ko pyaar ki,care ki zarurat hai.Sharon bas yahi kehna chahti thi,ki tum kisi aur ke saath engaged ho.How can you give him any love anymore??
The reason she is behind Kria is because she thinks Rey needs her."Swayam explained.
Taani stared at him. He was repeating Sharon's words albeit in a gentler tone.
"But.."he interrupted her flow of thoughts. "I can understand better. Tumhari aankhon mein dikhta hai Taani..you still Love him."he said gently.
Taani looked at him,astonished.
"You have witnessed everything,still you trust him.You went to his house.You took care of him."he pointed out.
She looked here and there. "Nhi Bhai woh.."she stuttered.
"No Taani.You can't and you better not lie to me.Main bhi dekh raha hun,jabse tum aayi ho Rey ke liye pareshaan ho. Don't tell me since you loved him once upon a time,that concern remains. NO. Tum bhi jaanti ho waqt badal sakta hai,par pyaar ka ehsaas.NAHI.Kabhi nahi."
Taani could only stare at her brother,with tears in her eyes.He was literally putting into words,what her heart felt.
"So what is it with Vishesh?"he asked her point blank.
She pleaded with her eyes to let this be.To not put her through more of this interrogation.But he did not budge.
"Don't look at me like this.You have to answer these questions,someday or the other.Aaj hi batado.Warna Sharon,D3 teaam,Kria yeh sab tumhe baar baar kehte rahenge ki tumhari zindagi alag hai,tumhe Rey ki fikar nahi honi chahiye. Main tumhara Bhai hun.You have to tell me.You know it."Swayam spoke looking directly into her eyes.
Taani shut her eyes tight,composing herself.She had known this was inevitable.
The time had come to let her brother know everything.
"Meri sagaai..tut chuki hai.I am no longer engaged to Vishesh."she said slowly.
Swayam remained silent,although a look of surprise came and went.Surprise,not shock.
Because somewhere he had been expecting this.
"Maine khud todhi sagaai."she stated."Kyunki..main Vishesh ko kabhi woh pyaar de hi nahi paati joh woh deserve karta hai.Usey bhi haq hai..har kisiki tarah ek aisi ladki ka saath paane ka joh usey izzat aur wafadaari ke saath pyaar bhi de sake.Main Vishesh ko izzat de sakti thi.Wafadaari..dil ka nahi de paati Bhai.Mera dil hi mere paas nahi hai." her tone was laced with pain and regret.
"Aur pyaar??"she chuckled sadly. "Bilkul nahi.He did not deserve to have someone as a life-partner who could only be a friend and nothing more.Maine usey samjhaya..bohot samay tak baat ki..woh kaise samjha yeh main aapko phir kabhi bataungi. Par woh maan gaya.Isliye main yaha aagayi,taaki woh aage badh sake.Kuch din ke baad maine socha ki main kahi chali jaaungi..US ya London.Main yaha Rey ko waapis paane ya unki zindagi mein koi problem create nahi aayi thi.Par ab.."she trailed off,her voice choking with emotions.
"Unhe aise dekhkar..main kaise jaaun??"she cried.
Swayam hugged her,still not speaking a word.His silence and the brotherly embrace comforted Taani.
She calmed down to an extent.
"Taani.."Swayam finally spoke,wiping away her tears. "Tumne joh kiya,bikul sahi kiya.Apni aur Vishesh ki zindagi barbaad hone se bacha liya."he smiled.
"Par Rey..."he sighed. Taani looked down.
"We don't know is happening to him. Uski harkaton ko dekhkar sab usey ab napasand karne lage hai. In the morning,I had a tough time convincing them to talk to him.Sharon also had to make Kria understand.And now..after today,its going to be more difficult." he stated sadly.
"Woh aise kaise kar sakte hai Bhai??Rey ne unka har pal saath diya hai.Kya woh Rey ka saath nahi de sakte??Jab unhe sabse zyada unki zarurat hai??"she questioned angrily,getting up.
"No Taani,aisa nahi hai."Swayam said,getting up to face her. "Insaan ki fitrat,uska svabhav hi aisa hota hai.Jab koi acha insaan kuch galat kar deta hai,toh log uski achai bhul jaate hai.Uske bure karm hi yaad rakhte hai. Aur Rey...tumne khud dekha hai Taani. Its natural for the D3 team to behave so.They are immature.And they are also human beings."he explained.
"Aur Kria??Woh toh Rey se pyaar karti haina??Unhone kaise vishwaas kar liya??Aapne suna na woh aaj kya keh rahi hai??"she continued her angry rant.
Swayam shook his head. "Kria Rey se nahi,dance se pyaar karti hai. Woh Rey ko kabhi puri tarah se samaj nahi paayegi.Isliye usne bhi sabki tarah Rey ke iss behaviour ka asli kaaran samajna zaruri nahi samjha. Par main yeh baat abhi Sharon ko samjha nahi sakta..because Sharon won't be able to understand. She thinks only Kria can give Rey the love he needs.And she won't listen to anybody because she is too worried for Rey."he sighed.
Taani pondered over his words.She realized he was right.
"Only you can do something now."Swayam said,pulling her out of her thoughts.
She stared at him blankly.
"I and Sharon have tried our level best.No one seems to be understanding.Joh hum dekh paa rahe hai,woh koi aur nahi dekh paa raha.Aise mein tumhara point of view hi log samaj paayenge.You have to tell everyone everything Taani."
Taani turned away from him and walked ahead a few steps. "But how do I explain Reyaansh's behaviour with me..I myself am not clear about it."she thought to herself.
"Taani??"Swayam called out gently.
"Bhai..mujhe thoda samay dijiye.Maine aapko raat tak batati hun."she said slowly.
He went upto her and said softly,"Fine..jitna sochna hai sochlo."
She smiled at his ability to understand her.
"Chalo lunch karlo."he smiled back.
"Nahi Bhai..main Rey ke ghar jaa rahi hun."she said hesitantly.
"What??Par kyu??"he was surprised.
"Unke liye lunch banane ke liye koi nahi hai..and he is completely exhausted.He won't be able to do anything himself.So..I thought yaha se unke liye lunch le jaaun."
Swayam smiled and caressed her hairs. "Fine jaao..but take care."
"Thanks Bhai!!"Taani grinned,hugged him and went into the kitchen to pack lunch for Rey.
At Singhania Mansion,
Taani entered the house and looked around.She placed the tiffin set on the dining table and went into the room where she had laid Rey to rest.
He was still sleeping. She walked toward him. Her eyes softened with love and her lips twitched up in a smile at his serene face.
If only for a while, he appeared to be unplugged from the chaos his life had become.
She knelt down beside him and held his still palm in hers.Her heart recollected the words he had spoken when he was at her place after the India Fest,earlier last year.
"Tum saath ho toh I am ready to face anything."Rey had said entwining his palm with hers.
She then went back to the time when her hand slipped away from his,in her kitchen which she had presumed would be their last meeting. It was not meant to be.
This same palm had held hers and placed it into Vishesh's palm,thus declaring her free from any kind of bond with him. Again,that was supposed to be the last time.
Now as she held his palm in hers,she realized 'the last time' would never arrive.Atleast not until her death. With her other hand,she caressed Rey's hairs.
A lone tear escaped from her left eye. She recollected Kria's and the gang's words.
She shut her eyes tight,tightening her hold on Rey's palm. Hundreds of emotions seemed to envelope her heart and mind.
She opened her eyes and looked at Rey's injury and their intertwined palms.
Her gaze shifted to his calm face. Amidst the paradox their life was becoming,all the confusion and contradiction, she had found her clarity,her purpose.
She wiped her tears and let her palm slip to his cheek,softly caressing it. The silence around them,only added determination to her decision.
"No matter what happens,no matter who says what,I won't leave your side Rey.Not this time.Never again."she thought,her gaze fixed on his face,held many expressions.
"Meri baaton mein tera zikr sada..meri yaad mein teri fikar sada..main joh bhi hun,tum hi toh ho..mujhe tumse mili apni ada.."
But the most prominent ones were Love and the Promise to Stand By Her Love.
"Tum hi ho..tum hi ho..harz bhi..mera marz bhi..chain bhi mera dard..meri aashiqui ab tum hi ho.."
Doneee!! I don't know how you'll are going to react to this one. It offered an insight into Sharon's thoughts and the mental frustration she is going through.She will reach her breaking point soon. 😃
And the Taani-Swayam part was needed,because someone had to understand Taani. Who better than Swayam??😳
And the last part..don't know how well it came out.😕
