Ch 36 : Her Dilemma
She entered the dinning area, and all eyes turned to her. Smriti, who decided to stay back till problem in her daughter's life get solve, narrow her eyes at taani. Rey was looking at her, impatiently. He wanted to talk to her but was helpless.
"Taani! Are you alright, beta?" Avantika asked her, she placed her palm on her cheek and worry took over her when she found she is having temperature.
"God! Why didn't you told me you are having fever? Rey, call the doctor-" Avantika panicked and called out for Rey. Rey, hearing his mother, got up from his place and rushed to them. He held his delicate doll in his arms while taking out his cell phone to call the doctor but taani stopped him.
"Its normal, maa. I get little temperature when i don't get proper sleep or because of tiredness. I'll be alright." Taani assured her mother-in-law who was looking too much worried. Rey closed his eyes hearing her, he knew he was responsible for this.
"Beta, go in your room and take rest. Rey, take her upstairs." Ranvijay said to his son, who nodded in return. Smriti was seeing how all are worried about taani, even shivam & kriya looked worried for her which made her angry.
"Here, my daughter is suffering them most but nobody is worried about her, but madam got little fever, all are running behind her-" Smriti thought to herself, she wasn't liking their indifferent behavior toward her daughter.
"If only kriya had chose Rey instead of Shivam then she would have got this treatment from all. Rey is most pampered kid so its obvious they will pamper his wife too, and even professionally Rey is more successful than shivam." Smriti thought to herself, there was no denying that like every mother, she wanted best for her daughter and that best was, Rey.
She looked up and found him, taking his wife upstairs. He had his arm wrapped around her shoulder, holding her in delicate yet firm grip, he looked scared and worried. Smriti wished her kriya was there in place of Taani, then she wouldn't had to worry about her. She knew if kriya had gotten married to Rey, then he would have supported her, no matter what.

Rey made her sit on the bed. Taani avoid looking at him, she wasn't ready for the talk. He sat beside her and took her hand in his, to his relief she didn't pulled her hand back. They sat there in silence until avantika came there with their breakfast.
"Rey, I have talk to doctor, give her this tablet after breakfast. She will be alright-" Avantika said to him, she handed him the medicines. Rey thanked her,
"My baby, take care." Avantika dropped a kiss on her head and walked out of the room. They had their breakfast in silence, which was killing him. He was missing his taani and her sarcastic, silly remarks.
"Here-" Rey mumbled, he held her palm and placed the medicines in her palm, then he filled a glass with water and gave it to her.
"Talk to me, sweetheart. I know i did a mistake, punish me for that, but i can't bear your silence. Its killing me." Rey shifted close to her and whispered in soft tone, he cupped her face in his palm and made her look at him. Hot tears scorched in her eyes, she could see regret in his eyes, her pain reflected in his, pained her heart. Seeing him in pain, was the last thing she would wish to see.
But was she really ready to forget everything?
