Appy Garu, this was such a pleasant read. Soothing, tranquil but still leaving me with a sense of wondering at the myriad what ifs. Will they look back at this moment with a sense of regret at not having got down / boarded the train, or with a smile at having shared an unexpected frisson with a stranger.
The "different shaped jalebis" was so amusing.
