First thoughts...though my heart feels heavy...
The
entire ghazal is so touching...but these two lines (I feel) are so concisely apt for Anita & Lavanya.
Khwahishen jo ghut gayi is dil mein, unko dafnana baki hai.
Kuch rishte ban kar toot gaye, kuch judte-judte chhut gaye.The Bette Midler song above, in my opinion, fits many loving relationships...
...however the words below are for the ones still seeking...in SF the words are for
Anita and
Lavanya.

Anita-Arian, Devi Maya at work again!!
He is exactly what Anita needed on her flight home. A fine young man who knew she was hurting and casually kept her distracted without overwhelming her. In the plane they were neighbors and small talk ensued, but at Schiphol Airport, waiting for connecting flights, I feel he sought her out to keep her company and ended up totally piqued by her. The way she was checking his eyes, kinda cute. Green Bay Packers fan...is he?? Puzzled by Anita's eyes, a sense of familiarity for him?? I wonder if he is a friend of Raj and was at the A-P wedding in Tampa. The "
Aman" ache that she is able to quickly thwart in favor of "
hope" is commendable just as her remembering being "'
shallow" since she is nursing a broken heart. Smart girl who knows to take it slow. 👏
They both held each other's attention and interest when talking about varied topics. Academics talk, childhood dreams, her indecisiveness about a career choice, his surprise and their subsequent "
astronaut" chat was very interesting. Another HP fan?
Between meeting on the plane and final goodbye at Schiphol, Arian came back to Anita twice, how about that. 😃
His "
Have a wonderful life", was the most needed "
rocket fuel" boost for her wings.
Lastly, Daytona Beach, FL. The first two thoughts in my mind were
NASCAR Daytona 500 and
Embry-
Riddle. I suspect Arian is a student there and soon enough Anita will be transferring there!!

Lavanya-Neville I still remain indifferent about her. I do wish her well and truly hope she is able to move on, preferably far far from Arnav and Khushi after her talk with them. Though she appears to have come a long way to now be able to see the folly of her past actions, she still needs a lot more "healing". She seems to be in a "
self pity" mode. The one thing that makes me feel sad for her is the fact that she missed out on being a mother to her son Aarav and deprived an innocent little boy of a mother's love.
After Neville's words and this "

With an overpowering heartache, she wished she'd accepted the sincere emotions Arnav had been able to offer in their ill-fated marriage" I feel she still harbors Arnav in her mind and am unsure how she is going to feel when she discovers that Arnav and Khushi have married.
Also, I don't know if Neville is good for her. He, no doubt is smitten by her, but he is too close to her "
issues". She needs to be "man-free", sufficiently heal, gain her self respect, feel secure etc. and then indulge in a relationship. She is in a very vulnerable state at the moment.
