Sometimes we see things that aren't meant to be seen.
Sometimes things that aren't always as they seem.
Sometimes we need someone to call our own,
Especially when we're alone.
Sometimes people can't understand,
Why things get out of hand.
Sometimes life just isn't fair,
Especially when people just don't care.
And sometimes it's hard to say,
Why things have to be this way.
Sometimes it's all you can do to get by,
Especially when dreams continue to die.
Sometimes it's nice to sit in the rain,
Even to just relieve the pain.
And when we've had a really bad day,
Sometimes we just need to get away.
We never know what's wrong without pain,
Sometimes the hardest thing and the right thing are the same.
And sometimes when people get hurt,
Even the strongest ones need comfort.

- Kristen, 'Sometimes life is hard'poem
He stood in the balcony his hands supporting the railing his gaze taking in the serene atmosphere of the beautiful hill station filling his lungs with the fresh morning air. The birds residing in the tress around the cottage chirping and energetic on the new day, people strolling on the sidewalks shivering but enjoying the slight mist and fog in the air, the kids, though few, bouncing here and there as if they have springs in their feet.
Arnav chuckled soundlessly. There was once a time when he used to be so caught up with his life that he didn't, or he thought he don't, have the time to lay back and observe these small things around him. Now he know better of these.
He closed his eyes inhaling the chilled air as a beautiful peaceful smile lit up his face without any struggle of his own. The natural and familiar way his lips stretched into a smile would've surprised him any other day but not now when he know the reason behind the smile, the change.
Khushi!
She's an angel in his life. Whom he obviously at first mistook to be the evil in disguise. Oh, how wrong he had been? He tried his will best to prove the evil behind the innocence, the wicked behind the chirpy. He would only have been successful if there were any truth in his assumptions. The great ASR who never went wrong in reading and assessing the people before him had gone wrong in assessing a mere girl who is almost a decade younger to him? It would've been a shame if only if he feels the same.
He was the merrier to find himself wrong. He was more than happy to be called the devil, the Rakshas, in their life story than her being proved right by him.
'Jab tum pyaar mein hote ho na, Chotte? Toh tumhe sab kuch acche lagne lagta hain, sab kuch pyaara lagne lagta hain.'
He opened his eyes remembering his Di's words. How right she is? The person who has been against all the beliefs of love, marriage and a future forever is now embracing the same to himself, looking ahead to spend his life with his love, to enjoy the relation called marriage, waiting to spend the future of forever.
'You are so right, Di. Mujhe ab sab kuch acche lagne laga hain!'
His smile dropped as his thoughts drifted to the particular person he's talking to. What had she deserved to be treated this way by life? What had she deserved to feel the pain of betrayal? What has she deserved to be cheated by the person she thought was her life?
Here when he started trusting the words against his belief, there again her life proved his past ethics. What is the strange game of love? Why doesn't it play fair at all? Weren't both of them destined to get and cherish love together?
He took in a shuddering breath as his eyes now turned blood shot red with the unshed tears. Why should love have to be hard? Why should it feel sweet only to turn bitter later? Is this what his love is going to become to? Bitter in the end? His hold on the railing tightened as his mind kept repeating the same question.
What should this love be named?
A love that makes a person as strong as to stand against the whole world. The love that makes the person weak in the leaving of the partner? The love that gives us moments to cherish, the same love that can snatch the life? The love that gives bitter moments after tempting one with the idea of togetherness.
Whatever it may, Arnav Singh Raizada decided to RIGHT THE WRONGS of his life. The wrongs that has kept the lives of two important women of his life at stake. The wrongs that made his life miserable to live without guilt.
ASR is now on a mission!
