Rey snatched the parcel away from her hand, shocking her with the sudden change in his behavior.
"Rey, do you know this dev kapoor? Who is he?" Taani asked him, watching him as he furiously ripped the wrap and opened the box. His anger reached another level when he saw her photographs inside along with a note.
"My photographs? But-"
"These are your yesterday's photographs, when you went out for shopping with bhabhi." Rey told her, trying his hardest to not to lose control over his anger.
"But-"
"Wait, Taani, I'll tell you everything." Rey said to her, knowing she muct be having lots of questions & confusions. Rey placed the box on the bed, and picked up the note from inside.
I know, He forced you to marry him but don't worry sweetheart, Very soon I'm coming to take you.

"Rey, what is this? Who is this guy & why he sent me all these?" Taani questioned him, her eyes filled with fear as she stare at him. Rey look at his eyes, his heart bleed seeing her condition.
"Sh. Taani, relax, baby. No one is coming to take you, I won't let any one take you away from me." Rey pulled her in his arms, and whispered sweet nothings to calm her. Taani relaxed in her husband's embrace. Once he knew, she was alright he made her sit on the bed, and he himself knelt before her on the floor.
"Taani, you might not know but he is dev kapoor, Your dad fixed your marriage with him but trust me, he is not a right guy. I know him since my college days, he is a criminal. Just lust after you, he wants you, just to satisfy his lust & ego-" Rey started to say, and everything started falling in place for her. Though she already know the truth but she wasn't aware about the guy, who was supposed to marry her.
"And to save me, You married me but why, rey? Why you wanted to save me?"
Rey was shocked when she questioned him. He wondered how she know about the reason why he married her.
"I know, Rey, I know you married me to save me from that guy. But why, Rey?" Her voice brought him back into reality. Rey look at her, he knew it was time he tell her, everything from the start.
"Uh, You know, I saw you first in your college's annual function, I was chief guest there. That time, when i saw you, I liked you. You are simple & sweet girl, just like i wanted and at that time my family was looking a girl for me to get married so I decided, That i want you as my life partner. I told the same to my mother, she was happy with the news and with my parents we went to meet your father for our marriage alliance-" Rey stopped for a moment, and look at her. She was listening to him carefully, and too his surprised she wasn't shocked as he expected her to be, and this confirmed his doubt that she knew about it, if not everything but she knew something, and thats the reason behind the sudden change in her behavior.
"Then?" Her soft voice broke his trance. He look at her with small smile.
"But you father said, he had already fixed your marriage with dev. I was against this decision, I tried telling him about dev's reality but he already knew about him, still he was putting your life at stake. My parent's weren't aware about this, your father somehow convinced them for Kria's marriage with me. I wanted to deny but i kept quiet, thinking i might be able to save you if i stay close to you, But your father was quiet smart, he fixed after 3 weeks marriage date, I was thinking of ways to stop the marriage, and also save you then i got to know about kria's affair with my best friend. It was like a ray of hope for me. I took the advantage of the situation, and i married you, forcefully. But my intentions were never to play with you or your feelings. I just wanted to save your from that bas***d. That guys is wrong, taani, your life would have turned into hell-" Rey told her everything, everything that he had hide inside him. Taani was in awe, she thought him to be selfish but he was the most selfless person she has come across.
Rey was looking at her, waiting for her to react over the news. He doesn't know how she will take this news.
"Thank you for bringing me in heaven-" Taani whispered, she moved down and hugged him tightly, sitting on his lap. Rey was pleasantly surprised with her move but nevertheless, he hugged her back, assuring himself that she was there, and with him.
"Taani, tum naraj nahi ho? I mean, I married you against your will-" Rey asked her, Taani broke the hug and cupped his face in her palms.
"I know, the path you chose was wrong not your intentions. Aapne yeh sab mere liye kia, and I'm thankful to you. My dad was ready to push me into hell but you thought about me. I'm not angry with you." Taani told him honestly. She smiled at him which he returned, and softly peck her lips.
"This was the reason you decided to cage me into the house?" Taani questioned him suddenly remembering his yesterday's behavior.
"Yes, it was. And promise me, taani. Until i settle this matter you will not step out of the house. I can't take any risk-" Rey said to her, as much as she doesn't like the idea of staying inside the room but she also couldn't go against his wish. Understanding the seriousness of the situation, she nodded her head positively.
"Thats like my girl." Rey smiled at her, he scooped her in his arms and fall on the bed, with her beneath him.
"I want to make this marriage work." Taani said to him, his heart skipped a beat as he gazed down at her intensely.
"I'm with you." Rey whispered back, closing the distance between their lips. He pulled her into soft kiss. Taani wrapped her arms around him, and surrender herself in his arms. Breaking the kiss, he look at her.
"Taani, you knew about this before? Don't lie!" Rey whispered in his usual dominating voice, taani narrowed her eyes at him. He & dominance are like much in love couple, with no chance of breaking up any soon.
"On the day of our reception, Dad told me about your marriage proposal, and how he fixed my marriage with his business partner's son. But i didn't had any idea who that guy is? & why he wanted to marry me out of all the people?" Taani told him honestly, she doesn't want any secrets between them. To make their marriage work, it was first step. Never hide things from your partner.
"Don't take stress over that bas***d. I'll take of care of him." Rey said to her when he saw fear in her eyes.
"Rey, you really wanted to marry me because you like me?" Taani asked him, to change the topic as she doesn't want to talk about dev.
"Yes, And see, i got you as my wife. I'll fill your life with happiness, and thats your husband's promise." Rey promised her. Taani smiled at him, knowing he will live upto his words. Where as his confession fluttered her heart. She was happy that he wanted to marry her because he liked her not out of sympathy as she thought.

Taani knocked on the door of her in-laws.
"Taan! Beta, come na-"
Taani entered their room, and saw Rajni & Ranvijay sitting on the bed. She moved toward the bed and smiled at them.
"Maa-Papa, mujhe aapse baat karni thi-" Taani started to say, she was there to talk about Rey, she couldn't tolerate how his family was avoiding him. It made her feel guilty thinking it's because of her. She wanted to clear the misunderstanding that had took place between him & his family.
"Yes, beta. Say." Ranvijay smiled at her in assurance when he notice hesitancy in her eyes.
"It's about Rey-"
"About him? Did he hurt you, taani?" Rajni asked her with concern lacing her voice.
"Nahi maa, unhone kuch nahi kiya. It's just that, mujhe aapko kuch batana tha, humare baare mein. Mein jaanti hu ki aap sab unse naraaj hai, jo bhi unhone kiya but isme unki koi galti nahi hai-"
"Taani, he forced you to marry him and you are saying he is not at fault-" Ranvijay cut her off in middle, shocked that taani was taking Rey's side even after what he had done to her.
"I know, papa but he did all that for me. His intention were not wrong-" Taani told him everything, which rey told her. Now she just wanted the distance between his & his parents to go away, she want him to get him happiness back, his family back.
"Taani, tu sach keh rahi hai na, beta? Mere Rey ne kuch galat nahi kiya?" His mother asked her, cupping her face in her palms. Tears were streaming down her cheeks.
"Ha, Maa! Mein sach keh rahi hu. Aapke rey ne kuch galat nahi kiya. He married me to save me from dev-" Taani said to her with moist eyes. Rajni smiled through her tears, and hugged her to share her happiness. She was happy to know that her son is not wrong.
"But he choose wrong path. How can he forced you to marry him? Forcing you wasn't the only option?" Ranvijay said, he still sounded angry.
"Papa, he was not wrong. My father didn't left any other option for him. Aap please unse gussa mat hoiye. Unki koi galti nahi hai." Taani said to him. Ranvijay look at the girl standing before him, he could see love for his son in his eyes. He kept his hand on her head.
"Beta, jab tumne usse maaf kar diya hai toh mein kaun hota hu usse gussa hone wala. I'm happy for you both." Taani smiled broadly hearing his words.
"Sacchi? Toh chaliye na, unse baat kijiye aur sab sort out kar lete hai abhi ke abhi." Taani squealed excitedly, his parents laugh at her cuteness. Taani dragged them out of the room, She took them to his study room, where he was busy in working.
