hope its OK

I was standing there
alone without her
yet with her

The silence all around
deafing my ears
yet I could hear
her soulful laughter
like the music of my life

The darkness all around
reflecting my life
yet I could see
her standing there
enlightening my life
like a lighthouse
to a lost sailor

The scars of my painful past
reappearing on the surface
which I thought were healed by her
now realised were just
got buried deep inside by her love

The unbearable pain
ripping my soul apart
yet I could feel
her soothing my pain

My numb body
for the outside world
yet I could feel
her lips on mine

I was standing there

yet with her
