LD jumps up and rushes to the window. But it seems calm outside. There is another scream. He realises that it is from within the guesthouse. Then there is a hammering on the door. Radha sits up. LD signals her to be silent. He put on the door chain and opens the door. It is the manager of the guesthouse. The pregnant lady who checked in yesterday has gone into labour. Because of the curfew, they are not able to get a vehicle to take her to a hospital. Fortunately, one of the guests is a doctor and he has gone to help her but he needs someone to assist him. There are no other women in the guesthouse. Could Madam please help?
Radha gets up. She tells LD that she must go immediately. She has trained in first aid and so can be useful. LD signals her to wait. He tells the manager that they will go with him. The manager hesitates. He says this is a ladies matter, Madam is sufficient. LD says if he wants help, then they both will come. Radha tells LD to be considerate, she can manage. LD says that the last time they went to "help", she got kidnapped. He cannot take the risk again. He will not go inside the room but wait outside but he will go with her.
They follow the manager to the room where the pregnant lady is staying. The elderly lady opens the door and is relieved on seeing Radha. She takes her hand and leads her in. She tells Radha, "Beti, I cannot see very well and so I am not able to help Rukmani." There is another scream. Radha goes to the doctor. He tells her that Rukmani was becoming tired and hoped that she will not need assisted delivery. Rukmani groans again. LD paces the corridor outside. Is this what women have to go through. Rukmani screams again and the doctor tells her to push otherwise they may lose the baby. With the next contraction Rukmani pushes as hard as she can and the baby's head comes out. Ruukmani pushes again and the baby comes out. They are all excited but the baby is not crying. He seems to be watching what is going on. The doctor hold him upside down and gives him a couple of slaps. No response but the baby keeps watching. Rukmani starts crying. The doctor tells Radha to bring the bucket of water. He dips the baby in water and he bellows. Rukmani and her grandmother are relieved.
The baby is cleaned and given to Rukmani to nurse. Radha watches them and smiles. She helps to clean the room and then opens the door. Poor LD has been sweating outside hearing the commotion inside the room.
Rukmani tells him to come inside to see the baby. Radha takes the baby from her and tells LD to sit down and hold him. She asks Rukmani whether she has decided on a name. She says her grandfather who has looked after her from childhood is a devotee of Lord Krishna and so she will name the baby Radhakrishna. Radha and LD look at each other. Rukmani is puzzled by their look. Radha explains that she is Radha and LD is actually Leeladhar. Radha takes the baby from LD and gives him back to Rukmani. LD takes Radha back to their room.
In Mathura, Dadaji is agitated. He had gone to the temple in the morning and heard about the bomb blasts in Agra. He hopes Radha and Leeladhar are okay. He will ask Bahu to call them on their mobile phone. Mobile phones are useful after all if used properly. If only he had allowed a TV in the house. They would know about what the situation in Agra was. He reaches home and calls Sadhna Bahu and tells her about what has happened in Agra. He tells her to call the children and check if they are safe. Sadhna says she does not have the phone number of the guesthouse where they are staying. Dadaji tells her to call them on their mobile phones. Sadhna is surprised. Dadaji says that he is learning that a lot of things that he had condemned as a useless new inventions actually had their uses.
Sadhna calls Radha's phone. Radha sees that the call is from Mamman and answers it. She tells Sadhna that they are alright. Her battery is low and she will call back from LD's phone.
She looks for LD's phone but can't find it. She looks at LD but he is fast asleep. She doesn't have the heart to wake him. She rings LD's number and hears the faint ring under a pile of clothes. Just like LD she thinks. She keeps the phone ringing until she finds the phone...
Radha finds LD's phone. She has to ring home quickly. She should have called Mamma yesterday and told them that they were safe but when they had reached the guest house there was no network on both her and LD's phones. Everybody at home must be so worried.
Sadhna answers the phone. Radha tells them that they had gone for dinner when the blasts happened and immediately returned home. She tells her of how protective LD was. Radha tells her of how she helped in Rukmani's delivery. The baby was so cute and has been named Radhakrishna. Sadhna smiles and then says, "Radha beti, are you happy?" Radha replies, "Mamma, in the one year I was away from you all, I consoled myself with memories of LD's love for me. I never thought we would be reconciled again. Now I have my LD back, there is truly nothing more that I want in life."
Sadhna wipes a tear from her eye and tells them to be careful and hangs up. She tells the family that Radha and LD are safe and that Radha had helped with the delivery of a child. Dadibua says she is such a blessing to everyone around her. She is not only always ready to help but also knows what to do. She fought of those three thieves by herself that night they had come from Ratnaghar. Dadaji agrees. They are so lucky that they got a second chance and she came back to the family.
Radha puts LD's phone back on the table. Then she notices the phone says one missed call from "LIFE". That is funny she thinks, there was only one call from this morning and that was the one she made. She looks at the details of the missed call and finds that her number has been stored as "LIFE". Radha's heart swells with love for LD. She remembers the fights they used to have in Mumbai. She could never forget the way that LD beat up that boy who was teasing her. If she had not stopped LD that day, he would probably have killed him.
She looks at the clock and sees that it is almost 8. LD is still fast asleep. Why is he sleeping so long today she wonders? He is usually an early riser even if he comes in late. She will take a shower and get dressed and then wake up LD and make sure he has breakfast on time. Mamma had told her that the doctor was worried that his heavy drinking and skipping meals would have affected his health. She would ensure that nothing LD does henceforth affects his health. She showers and comes out of the bathroom wearing her bathrobe. LD stirs. She tells him to get up and have a shower and she will order breakfast. LD tries to pull her into his arms but Radha escapes and tells him to shower quickly as she is hungry.
LD heads for the bathroom and Radha dresses. Tomorrow is Friday and she always goes to the temple on Friday. It may be too risky to try to go to the temple where Mamaji lives, but there must be a temple nearby that she and LD can go to quietly. She calls room service and orders a light breakfast and milk. No coffee or tea for LD until she is sure that he has not developed ulcers. The waiter arrives with the breakfast and Radha realises she does not have change to pay him. She finds LD's wallet and takes money out and pays him.
The change pocket of LD's wallet is bulging and so the wallet does not close properly. She thinks she will take some of the change out. She opens the pocket and finds the bulging is because there is a mangalsutra in the pocket not coins. She takes out the mangalsutra. It is an unusual design. She notices that in a particular angle, the letters LD show up in the design.
"I thought I told you not to touch my things" says LD from behind her. Radha turns guiltily. LD laughs. He was just joking. He belongs to her and everything he has is hers. Radha lifts the mangalsutra to LD with unspoken questions in her eyes.
