Chapter 9 : A Ray of Hope and his Unique Proposal ..

There were these two broken souls.. One was cheated by his own father.. the other was insulted by her own husband but under influence of his father.The two were shattered compeletely. Their lost their soul ..they lost their spirit of living.. the Athma .. which is must for a persons survival , if it was cut from the guts or roots itself ,how just only a skeleton in the body can survive. A life without spirit or soul. A life without a Line ... a Life line which was blank, unsteady, unclear, so empty.

Both were fighting their own demons in two different stages ,in two different situations.. One was current.. the other had got over.. but still the scar and the tragedy she cannot forget till she lives.

From somewhere they found a SMALL RAY OF HOPE for their living.. For him , it was his NEW ARNAV IN THE MAKING..HIS IDENITY AS ARNAV.. was is it for money or his name or his PEHCHAAN.. No, I guess, Arnav had withdrawn himself completely from Rajat. His identity for himself ,finding himself without his Sir Name, he could achieve ,with in a stipulated time frame.. He was not bothered about that .. he was bothered about his IDENITY with his wife.. his IDENTITY WITH KUSHI.. HIS IDENTITY WITH LOVE FROM HIS WIFE.. HIS IDENTITY AS KUSHI ARNAV.. rather than Arnav Raizada.

The other side Kushi was trying to stitch her torn life , with a needle and a thread.. she was sewing her torn and slit pieces.. was it possible.. it was very difficult and still difficult.. she found a ray of Hope.. she was supported by her parents.. She gave her enough support mentally to become strong. Based on request of her they dint fight with the Raizada's..

She was introduced to Mrs.Candida Fernandes . She was running a NGO for the needy and the helpless and the specail kids and the old age members. Gauri introduced her to Mrs. Candy .They connected at the spot. Kushi surrendered fully into serving the needy.It gave so much happiness for her. Since it was an NGO..She could travel and could divert her mind into several many other things. One was , she started volunteering for the kids education. She was working as teacher .. it's a very difficult job to pair with the special kids. But for her it was quiet easy..she loved little ones .. so much ..she pampered them, she cuddled them, she sang rhymes, she enjoyed each and every minute.Loved an lost .. but he lost spirit coming back to her life with some much IMMEASUREABLE LOVE, FINALLY SHE FOUND.. she found herself again , the meaning to live life again with the little ones and her work.

Present Day ::

He tracked her down ,where she was.. He put 24/7 vigilance on her with security guards in disguise.. her each and every move he came to know.

After the four proposals, he was completely shattered.. tears welled up his eyes. He was guilty and he was suffering ..his heart too had become like stone.. but yes the betrayals and hope for them from each other , what they went thru was totally different.

Arnav for his each and every proposal , thought seriously and took a very clean move. His proposals, whether it would work out or NO .. he dint bother..he wanted to try till his last breath in this world for her to come back in her life again..that was the main aim ..

But yes, the serious and sincere approach , I guess it irritated Kushi more and more. He moved and haunted her in all the locations where ever she was.. One step he took to become close, she backed with four steps with HATE.. AND NOT WITH LOVE..

Arnav was dying inside with each and every move of hers. Arnav didn't want to give up. He took baby steps now.. He thought like her.. he was thinking and acting more like her.. was it to impress her..or to feel the pain what she went thru .. I guess.. it was for the feel OF HER BY HIM .. THE EMPTINESS IN HER WOMB AND HEART.. he started thinking like her.. he was more shattered.. but he did find a way .. ..

The unique Proposal :

1.At the Pebbles bay :

That particular day ..Kushi was In her class room teaching the little ones.. She received a gift.. She opened it and saw.. it was a beautiful wall hanging.. but hand crafted..

It was a picture of oval shape flat pebbles arranged with small five different descending round shape pebbles, arranged in the form of " BABY FOOT STEPS " .. One left feet with fingers, accompanied by right feet with fingers.. it was trail of many foot prints in sequence arranged as each leaf in a particular vein .. left and right..

In each foot step .. the pebble ..

Baby foot 1 :You heal my soul when it falls weak,

Baby Feet 2: There is just one love that I always seek,

Baby feet 3 : Its your love that makes my heart beat,

Baby feet 4: Because without you I am incomplete,

Baby feet 5: No wonder every beat of my heart says, In so many words and so many ways,

Baby feet 6: That come to me and be forever mine, and For rest of my life,

Babyfeet7: be mine forever !!!!

She was shocked and surprised..But kind of happy.. Why.. the piece was unique and the BABY STEPS.. she couldn't throw the picture as it was linked with a baby . ..

2. A woman sculpting herself :

Kushi after the tragedy happened.. she lost her spirit and soul to live. She fought with her demons of loss of courage and bravery for many days and came out fresh as Just Born . She fought her own battles.. She was now sculpting her a new life by her own hands ..She was a statue ..with feelings.. she was carving with the hammer and chisel by herself for a new venture, new beginning, new meaning, new day A COMPELTEY NEW HER..

Arnav had understood the NEW HER.. a totally new her.. She was carving and engraving something rare and precious that others could mentor.. a self carved lady as statue.

The lady who was not scared for anything.. a lady who made herself.. who was made by her .. by herself.. a lady or a woman who fought for herself,a woman who wrote her own destiny and fate . A women who every one deserved to be with.. A women who deserved more that for what she was.. A Women COMEPLTELY DESERVED FOR EVERYTHING IN THIS WORLD.. A women who wrote her own karma.. A woman who foresaw all the odds of life.. faced all disturbances and dint melt down or bend a little for any natural disturbances..

She was the SELF CARVED SCULPUTED STATUE..

Kushi received this thru courier the next day .. She opened.. All the staffs were looking at the present.. All were surprised and looking at Kushi differently..why so ?..people will send flowers and bouquets or choclotates and teddy bears.. but our gal received Stones and statues.. What to do .. she was one of a kind..Unique and Rare.. So she deserved something very special and extraordinary ..

Kushi.. kept the statue in her bedroom..She couldn't break the statue.. it was one of a master piece.. so rare. She was mesmerized and understand what Arnav was relating her with that..

3. The Baya Weaver Birds Nest :

Yes the Baya Weaver Bird and its Nest. The bird uses a different mechanism to weave its nest.. Very complex in nature..very precise and perfect.The male weaves the nest and the female tests its male companion and then says ok for romance. They have fun and finally babies. Why Arnav gifted this to Kushi as a proposal..reasons..

The nest has a sunshade in the form of overhanging projection. Arnav wanted to be her shade or shadow.. be a protector for sure now..

" Baya birds make hundreds of trips to get bits of plant fibre to create nests. "They build the nests over a few weeks' time, and the nests are quite sturdy and last a few seasons," ..here my Arnav wanted to be the King of her heart and last for all seasons..Dill death never to part. ..

The nest is water proof.. Baya uses its claw to keep the grass strand in place around the branch and loops the strand around the branch, and then knots it. It even makes reverse windings to strengthen it further. The weaver bird next extends the loop into a ring-shape by piercing strands into already formed loops, and proceeds to weave the nest into its characteristic shape. Imagine, the Baya creates this safe house purely by weaving, though mud might be found stuck on the inner surface of the nest at times.

Arnav wanted to weave the nest with her as the birdie and queen of the house with his own hands.. safe and sterdy..

" Kushi ..received a courier with the weaver birds nest in her office. She opened the pack and was surprised..but kinda happy .. "

These were rare things.. which people don't even think for proposing..Arnav did here..

All these meant only one thing.. He wanted her back in his life like hell..He was unable to move forward. He was stuck ... like the way she was stuck somewhere.. able to breath..but the air was not coming outside.. or inhaling oxygen ..

In all the gifts .. Arnav had written only one thing ..

" I love you Kushi " ..Pl Forgive me.

Will these proposals or gifts will make her change her mind.. we will see in next chapter..

Chapter 10: Lost and Found ...

Hope

I know Kushi, Im not worth for your forgiveness ,the way I have treated you , doubted you ,insulted you ,torn you to pieces , shattered you to innumerable tiny cut pieces with the knife , broke you with my own hands, not able to live or not able to survive, not able to breath ,not able to look at yourself in the mirror ,not able to revive and relive, not able to gain back ur spirit and soul ..

I did slit ur soul , tied you with a barbed wire in ur heart and around you where the spikes or spears had torn ur heart as well as your body , mind and soul too..

I know ..i don't deserve you .. I don't think any human would forgive a sinner ..I being your own .. own husband doubting and throwing you out of the house , due to which , the baby which dint see the world dying in the process, I don't know Kushi whether im fit to be a human and fit to live in this world .

I was in blind love with my father. I din't know that he will go to that extent of framing you as the person who was unfaithful ..and I being a idiot ..i believed based on the proofs. But then too ,I should have listened to my conscience and my heart. I dint.. im not worth and I cant think of earning a word called RESPECT for me from your point..

All people make mistake.. I also committed one .. It was a blunder ..which cannot be forgiven by anybody..But still Im trying and till my death I will try to earn my forgiveness from you ..

IM REALLY SORRY KUSHI .. I LOVE YOU AND I WILL ALWAYS LOVE YOU TILL MY DEATH ..

Arnav .. was penning this in his Journal ..God knows how many pages he has written like this for seeking her forgiveness and acceptance of his love again , for them to live a new life .. but is that possible in this life ..Dont know.. All try .. even Arnav tried and is still trying..

We see for a Ray of hope in life when in distress.. we wait for the new morning, we wait for the suns rays to fill our hearts and houses with light.. we wait for the new day to begin , the time .. the time of wait and hope changes the peoples mind.. here too Arnav was expecting this kind of magic to happen from Kushi ..he dint leave hope.

His New Proposal : Lady in the Forest..

Arnav and Kushi were sailing in the same boat.One was seeking for a ray of light ..other had survived and seen the day light.. and started flapping its wings towards new life.

Arnav sent a gift to Kushi . A lady in the forest. Yes.. the lady was stuck in middle of the forest. She wandered here and there for so many days. She sat on a stone .. she lived with the berries and fruits in the forest. She forgot her way to come outside. She lost her way.She lost herself completely.She started getting adapted to live in the life of forest .. thinking that someday I will step out finding a way and reach my home.

The forest was utter dark .She sat there crying.. She stood and started walking towards the trail of trees.. it was past 6 ..it was darker.. the moon came for her lullaby.she slept of in fear crying..Next day a thin stripe of light peeped thru the bushes.. she woke up and had a small smile.. after some time passed may rays came thru the trees reflecting the suns carter wheel rays as heavenly rays of HOPE.. the lady started walking towards the light and finally came out of the forest. She found her way to her home.

Even Kushi was in the same situation , when she was left out from AM.she struggled a lot.why Arnav this painting for her. To remind her what she went thru. No Arnav was so symbolic of making her realise or making him realise as what she went thru in that situation ..

The ebony and Ivory .. After Ebony there is Ivory .. Now Kushi was the Ivory.. Arnav ebony was trying to find a way to catch hold of Ivory ..there is hope he thought..

She send the painting to her thru courieArnavushi dint want to take it.. But due to compulsion she took that pack and kept it in her home .

The same night Kushi was wandering in the terrace . Her mind was disturbed to a large extent. Why Arnav was sending all these.Ofcourse it was for convicing her and bring back her in his life again .known fact .But why did I accept all these. Or why still all these gifts are with me. It is not the right thing. I understand the phase he is going thru. He is shattered.He now knows the true face of his father. He is broken completely. Knowign him that he is in the gutter can I be the anchor for him to support and climb from the deep sea.Im already lost and was found by my loving people. Can this recent found give SAHARA for the one who is lost. Is it possible.what if he takes in the other way. I say a Hi, and he takes that I have accepted him .

I know what he has put me thru. I know the way and the things he treated and told me. I know how I survived this Toofan . Was it a hurricane or tornedo. Can this be named as Catrina, Tsunami or anything..Or it should be called as Kushi the tornedo .. the inner turmoil.

She finally came to a conclusion and closed her eyes for a good night sleep. Though her eyes were shut, she was not able to sleep properly. She was disturbed and turned this side and that side. Finally she slept.

The Lady fenced in barbed wire Painting :

Don't know why Arnav fell for this painting.He saw the one master piece and picked it immediately.Was he becoming an Artist to do side business ..dont know.. but he was doing somethings very unique. Very different , very extra ordinary and very special .

The lady was sitting on the field.She was wrapped with barbed wire as fence.. fencing herself from what ?. From evil, predators, demons, devils ,human , humans eyes, or what ?

Arnav thought and symbolised Kushi in that painting. Kushi was the main figure . The barbed wire with spikes or thorns twisted in two sides,left and right pricked and poked her like wise ,protected herself from the evil too .

She had grown up mentally and physically to.She had no barriers ..she was free now. Except the burden of love , the pain she was carrying with her all over. Her heart was also crushed with the barbed wire , by him,by his love which was fake or it was real but meant fake. Was her life with him in the past a Mirage. A real vs reel story . something existed but vanished in a mere second .

Kushi had become her own protector.The spikes from the wire which she put around her , which was supposed to be by him for her, he dint , but she did and she made herself and her loved ones as her sphere ,her world without him .

She started pushing him off from her memories,her mind and her soul and from her heart. Was it temporary or permanent . But as it is ..is it ever possible to move from the haunted memories. I doubt .but it Is life. We need to move on ..leaving the past behind. The scar is a reminder , for not repeating and fall in the pit of whirlpool once again.

She was ready to move on .Arnav send the picture to her. She received it .saw it and wrapped and kept it. She dint feel anything ..she just ignored that painting.

The next day from the NGO, they were informed they had to leave to South India ,Tamil Nadu for rescuing kids from the slum , where the parents and the people were doing child trafficking. Using the children for begging and doing work and many other malpractices. These kids were saved by the police. From all over India, the volunteers were called for giving moral support and helping them to gain their spirt and soul which was lost somewhere.

Kushi informed her mother and left that evening. Arnav dint know about this. Two days passed and he dint get any infor about her form the vigilantes. He himself got into the drama now.He tried to search her thru GPS ,her credit cards etc. But was not able to find her, as where she was. He went to her house and he did the unthinkable. After threatening Garima , normally to she dint utter. Finally he took the knife and threatened Avdhoots life for the news, after so much cry Garima had to inform the whereabouts of her.

In back of Garimas mind , she was very well aware that Arnav wouldn't harm Kushi in anyways. She was crying and Arnav fleed from the scene in no time. He took the immediate available flight and landed in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu ,South India.

It was end of March month...

Kushi got used to the humid ,torturing heat and sun in Coimbatore.They were put in a small village called Aalandurai. Where the road led to Siruvani Water spring and a Green thick Mountain which had a Lord Murugan temple and they called Poondi Murugan or Siruvani Murugan.

The place was famous for huge farmhouses having coconut trees and beetle nut trees.corns and maize plants danced for the wind. The lake, a thin stream of water was flowing somewhere..the ladies in the shores were washing the clothes and some small boys were fishing .. there were no fishes ..but they were playing...very small fishes.. baby fishes..

Some brids were taking their bath, the ducks were learning to swim and having their shower. The cattle , cows and goats..too they were having their bath and the owners were leaving them to have their drink of water for quenching their thirst.

Kushi and group of her friends came in a break to see the place. She was mesmerized by the beauty of the location. If she had a chance she would have settled in that place.

Arnav landed in this small village. It was the festival time.The whole village was dancing in high happiness as the Goddess Amman - Kamakshi Amman was staying there and they did the yearly anniversary for her , so she wishes and grants every body a happy new year a head for all her devotees.

In March or April, will it rain..In south India.. no.. But during this festival time it rained heavily like cats and Dogs. I did understand that there is some supreme power ,beyond me , us and everything .. some non existent power ,which runs us.. runs our life , controls our life.

Her work got over in the camp.She and her friends went inside the village near the temple to pray.The Pandit, gave her kumkum and flowers and blessed her , DEERGA SUMANGALI BAVA... Kushis eyes welled up by hearing the word .. tears started dropping down..

She ran from the crowd.. somewhere ...it was drizzling. She was running like mad. They say the past or memories will haunt and they never let u go.The past was chasing her like a ghost.She was running to get a new beginning.

From nowhere in the pitch dark tow hands came and pulled her back.She stumbled and was about to fall down, he pulled her back and she rested her head on his Chest. She hugged him,she dint know who he was ,the familiar scent, the familiar size of the big wide chest,the familiar breath, the familiar heart beat beating in perfect rhythm.

He raised his hands now from her and cupped her cheeks .She was in tears. She slowly opened her eyes and saw..the rain started pouring with bit more pressure .The tears from her eyes was clearly visible .. it couldn't mix with the rain drops. She recokend the reality and pushed him off .He held her wrist tightly and dint let her go off his release. Kushi ..Pl listen to me..

She pulled her hand back and closed her ears with her hands. She closed her eyes and mouth too. She knelt on the ground.. the rain water now had formed a bigger stream on the ground and was searching for the potholes and gutters to fill in and move on. If life to was like this , we could move on and find shelter somewhere. But it is life .. big life.. question mark life..or life is a question..how do we put.. end answer is LIFE IS NOT SO EASY.. IT IS DIFFICULT ..BUT CAN BE MADE EASY..

He lifted her slowly.. He voice was tender..Kushi..Pl listen to me once.He said politely. The rain now had slowed down. She stood up .. she took a footstep to move.. He pulled her dupatta.. She couldn't now take it anymore. She turned back and came closer to him . She raised her right hand and gave BIG SLAP ON HIS CHEEK . She lifted her other hand too and gave a BIG SLAP ON THE OTHER CHEEK..

She in a high pitch of her voice.. yelled

" bas***d"..

Arnav was in shock.He was slapped by her.Now the word " bas***d" from her mouth. He was in utter shock ...
