Shru, You might be right and thats why I think we get SUCH poor governance from our elected representatives. We forget we are the bosses. We frequently let our subservient selves take over.

There is no reason for a person like Sonia to be so powerful. I doubt if anyone else could have received such obeisance if the skin color was black though. If Rajiv Gandhi had married a Sudanese or Kenyan woman the junta would have sent her packing after Rajiv's funeral

They dont do that much to Bollywood movie celebrities Noufiya, TV starlets get the honor mostly. TEN and TWELVE year olds addressing a 30-35 year old females as Dee...😆

These celebrities are most likely as old as their Moms or older, they know it the celebrity does too I bet

But calling someone "Aunty" is blasphemous no?

I recall YEARS ago in DTC buses in Delhi when the tapori Romeo types would address 30 something women saying "auntyji zara side dena" (Will u please move and let me pass?)

The woman would bristle immediately and yell "AUNTY HOGI TERI MA"

We would return home from college and🤣 and go "Umm.. the woman was right actually"
