Recap:Ridhima promises to try and open up with Armaan...A few AR moments...Ridhima is assigned to do the campaign and though she is reluctant, she agrees to do it.

PART:-9

After a long, tiring day they finally reached home and quickly freshened up and had their dinner. After dinner Armaan helped Ridhima clear out the dishes and as they were going back to their room he stopped her midway "Uhmm Ridhima if you're not very tired would you mind going for a walk in the lawn? Mausam bhi acha hai..." he asked her and hearing him she smileda bit and immediately said yes. Soon enough they were both walking hand in hand, for some time neither of them spoke just letting a soothing silence prevail between them..."Ridhima" said Armaan breaking the silence between them. "Hmm..." she replied. "Don't worry princess, I know you can do it" he said referring to the campaign knowing very well she was still worried about it. "How can you be so sure?" asked Ridhima in an unsure tone making Armaan sigh. He took her towards the swing placed in the garden and settled himself on it then pulled her on his lap. She curled up in his lap hiding her face on his neck as he gently pushed the wing with his feet. "Ridhima...do you know why I gave you this campaign?" he asked her as he gently rubbed her back. "Because I am your wife..." she whispered against his neck making him groan inwardly. "No princess, No! I did not give you the campaign because you are my wife the only and I repeat ONLY reason I gave you this campaign is because of your CAPABILITIES...Ridhima at the moment there is nobody else but you could handle this, you are the only one with maximum experience and also the only one with a maximum success rate...You are the only person I can trust for this and let me clarify one last thing this decision was not taken by me alone, the entire team working on this project have taken this decision because not only me but every single person believes that you are the most suitable person to handle this campaign." He said gently parting her from himself so that he can look at her. "You think I will be able to do this?" she asked looking into his eyes, just like a little kid asking his mom if she thinks he will do well in his exams. "I know you will be able to this..." he replied gently touching his forehead with hers. "What if I fail?" she asked putting forward her insecurity. "Then I'll pick you up, gather you in my arms and make your you fight again" He said looking straight into her eyes not only giving her the much needed assurance but also silently promising her that no matter how bad things get he will never let her fail, he will always be there with her, to help her, to guide her, to soothe all her pain...

Ho gam ke badal mujhpe tham jaane de

Hearing him Ridhima just hugged him tightly, taking him off guard for a minute but soon he too responded to the hug. She silently thanked the almighty for giving her a husband like Armaan, who not only understood her well, but also supported her and encouraged her in every possible aspect. She sent a silent prayer of always keeping them together for even the thought of staying without Armaan kills her deep inside.

koi raaz na ho jo uss se rakhna ho

aankhein na kholu main shayad sapna ho..

After what seemed like eternity Armaan parted from the hug and gently wiped the lone tear that had escaped Ridhima's eyes. "Oye! no tears okay, I only want to see my princess smiling, and always remember chahe kuch bhi ho jae, no matter how bad the situation gets whenever you look up you will always find me beside you, with you..." he said gently patting her cheek to which she gave a small but genuine smile.

She looked deep into his eyes and whispered "I love you..." which instantly brought a wide smile on his lips. "I love you too my love, more than you would ever know" he said as softly pecked her lips. "Acha Ab kafi late ho gaya hai, and we both have a long day tomorrow so we better get to bed" he said as he effortlessly scooped her in his arms and carried her to their room and soon enough the two of them laid on the bed fast asleep in each other's arms.

The next morning Ridhima woke up having much more confidence in herself than she previously had. She was now determined to do the campaign to the best that she could, not for herself but for Armaan, she was touched with the amount of trust he had shown on her and she really wanted to live up to his expectations. The day started on an early note for the two of them as they had to reach office early. They had only 4 days in hand and a lot of work had to be done. Thus, quickly getting done with their morning routine they were on their way to work. Throughout their journey Arnaan was giving Ridhima all the important details regarding the project, telling her all the special requirements needed for the campaign while she very carefully listened to him, writing down all that she felt important. Finally they reached the office and getting down from the car Armaan came towards Ridhima's side to open the door for her like a true gentleman. Ridhima smiled at him as she got down,then quickly glancing at the notepad in her hands she asked him "Armaan is there anything else that I need to know, I mean did you by chance miss out on somethig?" "Oh yes! How silly of me Ridhima, sabse important baat to mein batana hi bhul gaya" he said rubbing his forehead looking all serious. "kya?" she asked nervously looking at him..."That I love you!" he said and before she could react he quickly kissed her cheek and left from their leaving her rooted on the spot, as he reached the entrance of the office building he looked back at her to see her holding her cheek, still trying to comprehend what had happened, he smiled seeing her she was still the same even after more than a year of their marriage. Cheekily winking at her he made his way inside while her eyes popped out at his open PDA, but soon her shock was replaced by a warm feeling of happiness and a million dollar smile was soon spread across her lipsand muttering a small "pagal" she too made her way inside to get started with her work...The day was very busy for both Armaan and Ridhima, neither of them had time to even meet each other. It was around lunch time when Armaan finally had some time breathe and so he decided to go and meet his wifey and have lunch with her. So he happily made his way towards her cabin only to find her highly engrossed in her work, so much so that she did not even notice that somebody had stepped into her cabin. He leaned against the door folding his hands on his chest as he took in the view in-front of him. Ridhima sat with a pencil between her lips as she read something on her lap-top while a file she held a file on which she constantly scribbled something with the pencil and the again placed it back in her mouth. He sighed contently for in a way he saw a glimpse of his old Ridhima who was always so confident and cheerful. One reason he wanted her to do this campaign was because he wanted her to get her mind off from all those baseless thoughts. He had spoken to Rahul (he is a psychologist and Armaan's friend in this story) and he too seemed to have suggest the same thing, especially now that they had stopped giving her the anti-depressants. Though they both knew that there was definitely more to be done, she still had a lot to open up about her past, her fears but even to do that it was important that she first come out of her sullen mood. Opening up about her past would be a big step and Rahul clearly told Armaan, that they had to walk slowly, she opened up about her miscarriage, is trying to get back to her normal life and for now that was good enough they would have to wait and give her time and Armaan was more than ready to give her all the time she needed..."Armaan" he snapped out of his thoughts when he heard Ridhima call him out. Straightening himself he walked towards her "Hey! So finally madam ne mujhe notice kar liya" he said jokingly as he kissed her forehead. "Hmm...Tum kabaye?" she asked as she leaned back on her chair flexing her aching muscles. "When you were so busy multi-tasking that you neither realised that it was lunch time and nor did you realise that I entered your cabin" he said as he stood behind her and gently massaged her shoulders. "Hmm..." she said not bothering to say anything else as she closed her eyes relaxing under his touch. "Tired?" he asked bending down and gently kissing her forehead. "Hmm..." she replied opening her eyes only to meet a pair of greyish-blue eyes that expressed nothing but unconditional love for her. "But I still have a lot of work to finish" she said as she picked up the abandoned file from her desk but he snatched it away immediately "Armaan..." she whined. "Don't Armaan me it's lunch time, so shut up and leave this..." he said making her get up and dragging her towards the couch which was neatly placed at the corner of her cabin. "But..." she tried protesting but he shushed her mid-way itself "No ifs or buts, I have ordered our lunch and it should come in the next 10-15mins, till then you will just close your eyes and relax, understood" he said, rather ordered knowing very well that her body was still very weak and obviously too much fatigue is not good for her. Ridhima sighed hearing him, she knew there was no point arguing with him so she silently leaned back on the couch and closing her eyes relaxed for a bit adhering to her husband's command...After a good 30 minutes Armaan decided to wake Ridhima up who was by then lying with her head on his lap and his blazer over her so as to keep her warm. He had purposely made her lie down and let her take a nap so as to give her some rest which he was sure she would avoid otherwise. "Ridhima...wake up baby" he said gently patting her cheeks to wake her up. Ridhima opened her sleepy eyes and it took her about a minute to take in her surroundings..."How long have I been asleep?" she asked groggily as she sat up. "About thirty minutes..." replied Armaan as he tucked a strand of her hair behind her earlobe. Hearing him her eyes opened wide in shock "30 minutes!!! oh God Armaan why did you not wake me up??? Oh god abhi kitna kaam hai Aur mein..." she blabbered continuously getting all worked up and proceeded to get up from the couch and head towards her desk but he held her hand and pulled her back "Oho, tum kitna baat karti ho yaar! will you just relax baby, there is still 20 minutes for lunch break to get over and if you think I am going to let you go and work before you have your lunch then your highly mistaken, isliye ab stop wasting time in grumbling and jaldi se lunch karlo" he said passing her forkful of her favourite Fusilli Arabiatta, she had it without any further argument because first of all she really had to get back to work and secondly all the working she had done earlier had made her hungry and common who could have resisted fusilli arabiatta :p. Soon enough the two of them finished their lunch with a little chatter here and there and unlike other days it was not only Armaan doing all the talking which definitely made him happy.

Time flew like the wind, Ridhima had worked day in and day out giving it more than her 100%. Nikhil on the other hand as promised stayed with her through all of it, helping her as and when needed taking care of her, making sure she had her meals, medicines and enough rest cuz his wifey was so much into work that she was barely bothered about any of it. Finally the day of the presentation had arrived and needless to say Ridhima was beyond nervous, though Armaan had assured her more than a hundred times that her presentation was amazing but the butterflies in her tummy were just too adamant to stay. She stood in front of the mirror wearing a charcoal grey shirt and a black pencil skirt along with black peep toe stilettos. She brushed her hair absentmindedly as her heart pounded at the mere thought of the presentation. So lost in her thoughts she never realised Armaan stood behind her all dressed till he very gently snaked his arms around her waist resting his head on her shoulder. "Hmm, someone looks gorgeous," he said placing a light kiss on her nape making her close her eyes at his touch. They stayed in the same position for while till Ridhima slowly turned in his hold "I am so nervous Armaan" she said fidgeting with his shirt buttons a habit he noticed she did most when she was stressed or nervous. "Don'tbe sweetheart, you have worked so hard dekhna sab acha hoga" he said in a soothing tone. "Hmm, I hope so" she said looking into his eyes. "I know so" he said kissing the tip of her nose making her smile lightly. "Ab chale, we need to reach on time" he said as she nodded moving out of his arms and picking up her purse, taking a deep breath to calm her nerves she looked at him and soon the two of them made their way out of the house, hoping for their specially her hard work to pay off.
