N R&B said in as many words that his decision to leave n sell shares is to hurt Ranjan... Tch tch..such poor business skills... No wonder schools cant teach you that sharp accumen! It can just fetch you a degree, one which R&B has earned fir sure!

I read the future updates with II n R&B n 4 kids n Grown up Lasya... Looks like lasya is in same house as II - R&B, does that mean they are in delhi??

Nisha would you at anytime show something like recession in R&B 's job?... I want to see how he reacts... Or if not recession...maybe 2-3 of the 7 partners outing...or planning on quitting,.. Want to see how he keeps his cool for his own firm!

I didnt think Bally was a bad mentor... Often in corporate world, we are much smaller fish, n our immediate boss is still small fish, so wish as much as they may, some decisions have already been made n you gotta abide n cover your back first...

totally agree with what you have written just that the truth is Bally had to cover his back .. and he moved up bus hamari II kaam karthey reh gayi and in my 16 years corporate experience i have noticed that some how or the other a good mentor pulls in his mentee either gets a job for them in their org or moves them up or finds them something better.. thats pretty much the only way u move up , so Bally was a fun friend but not a great career mentor IMO

II's new boss,r&b off to Paris,ranjan left with no successor of his business, manny bhatki hui atmaa...sam MIL potshots, akka's difficult pregnancy, appa's arthritis and black clouds seems to hover all over Sosy dreamland 😭

Amazing start to 29...entry of a female boss who can become a friend for life or the reason to snap ties with the company...II torn between the agony and pain of father and Son...voicing it and feeling miserable...imagine walking with that frame of mind to work and being introduced to someone who is all that you wished to be but are not...would i feel bring a reality check...would discover maybe like the dude how flawed the software solution is...how she acts up will be interesting...how will Ranjan respond to upgrade requests wait and watch...he speaks of being surrounded mostly by good folks...hes aware of the 5 men army called relatives lurking like vultures...It is sad to see that despite longing to be with each other the dude and II end up hurting each other one sobbing her heart out and the other silently withdrawing...
Story is very very interestingly poised.

Nisha i have always wondered how you reach out to each of your readers by reading their comments PM and respond so heart warmingly..i was totally floored by the intro to this thread..i split my time between Hosur and Bangalore and identify more with the small town where i have plenty of kids...So Mom in Hosur fits me better...THANK YOU for being such a caring warm person ...that you are an awesome writer is proclaimed by the story and its fan following...You amaze me with every update.

Temporarily, albeit Ritu helped II forget that line hubs spoke last night, it
had haunted her on her way to work, enough so she forgot to respond to Amma's text and Amma called her asking if she would go to school with her to meet the " ALL KV 10th & 12th Board topper"
She was really excited, she wanted to meet them, one was a boy the other two girls in 12th The top student from each subject was being honored by the teachers in a lil informal ceremony


"Amma do we still have my uniform?" she asked curiously

"Irukke di.. in the Godrej in the study, urs and Akka's"

She had two car loans, a student loan and Periappa's nurse salary... at the very least

She needed atleast Rs. 20, lakhs to be debt free

She knew her parents nor Akka had that kind of money

She knew there was a lot of truth in Amma's words she could get a job any where in a heart beat
But realistically, between quitting and finding a new one, she was looking at 3-6 months without a pay check
Thats like a shortfall of atleast Rs.6 lakhs

And then the BIG elephant in the room... her career and chances of a promotion.

"I have a sit down for the three of us, and then u Ritu and Ashwini, and then ur team and ritu" Bally listed

"Kaam karne ka time bhi de dena agar yaad rahe to" she chuckled

Ritu quickly caught the camaraderie between the two

"Uve heard the deal... misery loves company" Bally laughed out loud

II nodded biting her lower lip suppressing a giggle

"U are newly married?"

"Umm no... not quite...3 months today" Ii admitted

"U kept it on?" Ritu asked surprised

Ii nodded... "I am an Iyer... u know II... I married a Punjabi... I told him I will only marry him if he lets me keep it on for 2 years" II laughed

"Oh! boy!!" Ritu smiled

"Bachpan ki fantasy u know" Bally interjected

"U always wanted to marry a Punjabi?" Ritu asked chuckling

"NOOO... Umm.. I met him 7 months ago" II mumbled

II smiled lamely "Umm ya... if u say it that way it seems crazy... but u have to trust me"

Ritu laughed hard

"She just showed up at work married... Friday ko gayi Vegas... sorry Arya Samaj Mandir" Bally spiced it up

"No... thats not true..." II was embarrassed

"I am kidding Ritu... client ka beta hai" Bally said

Ritu was all ears suddenly

"Which one?" she asked

"Excelsior" II and Bally chorused

Ritu stared curiously

Bally had shared the details in order for II to warm upto her and vice versa
But as they say first impressions are lasting ones

Ritu will form an opinion of II based on what she was told "Falling in love with the client's son and
marrying him while the service provider was delivering on the product"

Aiyoo. This Ritu looks like she is going to be an obstacle for II to overcome. II needs to catch a break Nisha😭 One one side R&B is leaving, she is really upset about it. R&B and Ranjan's relationship tears her up and she cannot really work on them to reconcile. From the other side-we have Manya (who is going to stay until September and continue to be a pain to II) and Ritu the new boss who is already judging her based on her marriage.. Looks like things are gearing up for II to seriously consider quitting!!!!😕

The first impression doesn't really seem a very good one! Now what...starting nina wrong foot,w I'll it get better or worse form here on, perhaps leading II to seriously rethink her decision to stay on at KMPG...and perhaps the beginnings of her taking On a serious role at excelsior.
