Chapter 15

Rey's pov

I took Taani out of the classroom with me safely, but damn principle saw us. Okay Rey!! No need to panic. Just hold her hand and take her out. I just told her to run and we ran off with the principle shouting behind us. We ran down the stairs and around the corridors till we reached the ground floor while Taani kept telling me to stop but I didn't listen to her.

I told her to it on the bike and hold me tightly; she looked around and did what I told her to do.

With that, I went off.

Fast, really fast.

After sometime

R: okay Taani, you can let go now.

No response

"Taani?" I had managed to get us out off the school and drove fast and now, well, she isn't letting go.

She had her head lying against my back; her soft breathes leaving warmth. I slowly untangled her hold and helped her get off my bike.

"Easy little girl," I grabbed Taani by her waist before she was about to collapse in her weakened state. She hadn't said a word till now; instead, she rested her head against my chest.

A moment later, she pulled her head back and stood straight.

She started to freak out because school principle saw us. I calmed her down saying everything will be fine. Not to worry about it.

T: where are we going?

"I want to show you something." I said. I grabbed her hand and intertwined our fingers. I looked down at our hands. Whenever I touch her I get this feeling. It feels so right to hold her hand. I just don't want to let go off her hand. I took her towards the park.

Taani's pov

We were moving in the park. He led me through the woods.

R: this is a secret place which I and my brother found when we were small.

Park is a common place to visit but when he said it's a secret place I got excited and curious to know this place and maybe he too noticed my excitement and curiosity. I smiled at him which he returned.

He pushed couple of more trees until we reached the centre of the tress. There was a little pond in the centre and grass surrounding it. I love such place where there is calm surrounding. I sat on the ground and Rey sat just beside me. There was a comfortable silence between us. I rested my head on his shoulder while he slides his arm around me.

I have visited park many times how come I never knew about this place?

"How did you find this place?" I asked. He smiled at me again. His smile is so cute.

"My brother found it. We were playing hide and seek when he hide himself here." I nodded. Then I looked at our intertwined hands and smiled thinking it fits perfectly in his hands.

I stared at his face which looks so calm like he lives his life with the nature.

He looked at me and gave a smile.

"What are you looking at?" he asked.

"You know you have the prettiest smile I've ever seen." I couldn't stop myself from saying this.

He blushed and said.

"This smile only exists because of YOU!"

Hearing him my heart skipped a beat. I looked down as pink shade appeared on my cheeks. Rey used his finger to tilt my chin up a little to look at him. He looked into my eyes I thought he was going to kiss as he leaned forward, I closed my eyes but I felt a long wet kiss on my forehead. A smile crept on my lips. I opened my eyes and looked at him; I can see pure love and care in his eyes for me.

R: do you want to say something.

I was surprised like how did he know I want to say something. But then that's what love is. We understand each other and know if other has to say something.

T: yes.

He nodded for me to continue.

I took a deep breathe.

T: You know, I like to spend time with you. I felt hurt when you once ignored me. I ignored that hurt feeling. You shared your past. I felt I was a part of your life. Then you just confessed about your feeling though unknowingly but I was confused what to say. But more than confused I was afraid.

R: afraid of what Taani? Wait are you afraid of me or what my so-called uncle did. I'm sorry-

Shhh. I kept my fingers on his lips to stop him from saying further.

T: I'm not afraid of you neither of your uncle. I'm afraid of my ex. You don't know him. He can do anything to get what he wants. Knowing he was a player I fall in love with him. I broke up with him not just once but twice. Twice he broke my trust but still he wanted me to be with him. I use to torture me a lot; I couldn't say anything to my parents about it. I went into depression and to overcome that I got shifted here. I got new friends with my bestie Shivam, and I was back to normal.

R: torture? What he used to do Taani? Say?

He took hold of my hands gently and asked worry for me and anger for my ex was visible in his eyes.

Some tears made way through my eyes

T: he used to behave like he owns me. After breakup he threatened me that he will do anything to make me his. I even didn't go to school for weeks because of him. And-

He cut me off and wiped the tears and pulled me into the hug.

R: shhh Taani I don't want to hear anything further and one more thing, you don't have to worry about your past. Past is gone, I'm your present and future if you are in?

T: what if one day he comes and makes us apart?

R: he can never do that. We will make our relation strong. I promise I'll be there beside you always.

I nodded. We didn't spoke for few minutes.

R: so you are in?

T: for what?

I played with him hiding my smile knowing what he was asking for.

R: playing with me? Come on say me you are in?

T: you didn't ask me properly. I said with a pout.

R: so you want me to sit on the knees and tell you to be my girlfriend?

T: may be.

I said like it was obvious thing.

R: okay then let's go.

T: Where?

R: Home.

I became sad thinking he won't propose me.

R: Aww don't be sad sweetheart, I'll make your everyday special.

I smiled to him and gave a peck on his lips

R: instead of peck you could have kissed me.

I hit him on his chest and we moved out to see Whole Park empty. I insisted him to play with in park for some time. He said I was behaving like a child but still he played. When we moved out of the garden I saw car instead of bike.

T: Rey where is your bike? Did someone steal it? Omg!! We need to go to police station to complain. Come fast.

I took hold of his wrist was trying hard to drag him but he didn't moved an inch. I pouted.

T: why are you so strong?

He shook his and laughed at me.

R: I told Swayam to take the bike and leave the car here.

T: Why? I like bike more now.

R: oh! So you will be missing holding me tightly hhh!! Don't worry we will go for long bike ride.

He winked at me and I moved to sit in the car.

T: thank you Rey. It was just a park but still I enjoyed. After sharing this with you I feel really good. I'll always remember this place. This day is very special for me.

He kept his hands on mine.

R: if you ever feel like sharing anything with me, feel free to say. Don't let it inside you.

I nodded. He drove to his house.

They reached outside their house. Taani looked at him only to find him already staring at her. She kept her right hand on his left hand.

T: Thank you for such a special day Rey. I have never enjoyed this much in my life.

R: unless I'm with you, your everyday will be special.

Saying he kissed her hand making her blush.

Taani moved out of the car and walked towards the door, only to find it open. She moved inside smiling in the living room but her smile vanished when she saw the person sitting in the living room looking at her. She gasped seeing him here and her eyes were wide open.

"I didn't expect this from you Taani. You just disappointed me". She looked down not able to meet his eyes and a lone tear fell from her eye.

"I thought you were the brightest student of my school. I never thought you will bunk the school by sneaking out. Just because your parents aren't here that doesn't mean I'll not take any strict action". His voice was serious.

Taani was silently weeping with her head low and tears flowing through her eyes. Not for once she looked up at him.

Taani's pov

I just came home feeling happy with a huge smile on my face. I saw the door open so I just walked in but my smile vanished when I saw the person sitting in the living room. I gasped seeing him here.

Now you people must be thinking who the person is over here.

Surprise!! No! No! Shock was evident on my face.

Mr. Wilson, the principle of our school was right now sitting in the living room, may be waiting for us or waiting for Rey's Mom to return home and complain about how we ran from the school.

Wait did he just called my parents and told them about it. I gulped hard only thinking about it. Just then I heard him say.

"I didn't expect this from you Taani. You just disappointed me". I looked down not able to meet his eyes and a lone tear fell from my eye.

I just wept silently standing there with my head hung low. I closed my eyes making more tears to fall down and prayed to God to send Rey soon. Rey where are you? Why didn't he come yet?

My mind wasn't working. I have never been in such a situation before, this was the first time I did something for fun and now I'm in trouble. My parents will be so disappointed with me, knowing about it which made me cry more.

Just then a thought ran through my mind, where is Rey? Did he just leave me? Did he know principle will be coming to his house? I can't think straight anything now. If he went to park the car he should have been here now beside me but he wasn't that means he left me in trouble. How could he do this? How?

But my thought was interrupted by a voice,

"Taani why are-" Rey stopped in the middle when he saw principle in his house. But wait he didn't looked shock; instead, he smiling came and hugged Mr. Wilson. My mouth fall on the ground watching the scene in front of me. Rey and Mr. Wilson, our school principle was hugging each other like they have known each other from very long.

Rey broke the hug and looked toward me and his smile vanished when he saw me crying.

He cupped mu face and rubbed the tears from the thump.

"Hey, what happened? Why are you crying?" he asked me.

Is he dumb? Can't he just see principle behind him?

He turned to Mr. Wilson and maybe he got the idea what might have happened.

"Did you just scold her or scare her sir?" he asked sir.

Mr. Wilson smiled sheepishly and said,

"I was just having fun. You know me my son, how I sometimes act like a strict principle."

Fun? Is this fun to scare a student? I wanted to scream at him.

Here I was scared to death and he was having fun threatening me of punishments. But I still didn't know what his relation with Rey is.

R: don't do that to her uncle. You just scared her to death.

He hugged me.

Wait!! Did he just call him uncle?

He is Rey's uncle. How? When did that happen? How come he never told me?

Suddenly I felt everything roaming around me. Why is everything moving in circle? I couldn't stand properly and my knees went weak. I felt my eyes closing and then the only thing I knew was everything went blank and I fell in Rey's arm.

Hey everyone!!!! Never thought that the person will be principle😆. Hope you guys remember about principle knowing about rey's past. Such a big chapter isn't it? have fun while reading. Sorry if big chapter bored you.
