The pace and story were racing in this chapter, which was needed for the readers to have the continuation of anticipation from the previous chapter as well as be on the edge to get to past which has been playing hide and seek since prologue. You did a brilliant job of keeping all this is one update and not stretching it into multiple chapters.
It's interesting that guilt doesn't exist in Arnav's dictionary for what he did to Khushi but at the same time he wants to grovel and make it up to her no matter how long she takes to forgive him. But he is right, there is no need for him to feel any guilt because his love existed even before Khushi confessed her love and if doesn't consider falling in love with her a fault, so where is the question of guilt? When he said "I love you" it was purely love and nothing else...But he is sorry for pushing her out of his apartment, not acknowledging her feelings and breaking her heart and for that he knows he needs to be punished. However, the punishment doesn't include staying away from each other or being just friends. He wants the punishment to come with an expiry date so that they can move on in life, together. He has very clearly and neatly categorized all his feelings and not mixing them up. Good he needs that because Arnav needs to prove to Khushi is that he isn't loving her out of love.
Khushi is a very sorted person. She is anything but clumsy with relationships or feelings. In her head she knows that her love for is completely different than the love she has for Archie. Nothing and nobody in life would break the upbeat attitude Khushi has towards life, not even her mother's monstrous behavior but rejection from Arnav shattered this girl that she still hasn't been able to pick up the broken pieces of heart. So, how can she walk into his arms and heart and accept him in her life. Once Khushi gets past her heartbreak and understands that Arnav's love isn't out of his guilt, she won't let him grovel or punish him. She doesn't carry any grudges against her mother, and this is Arnav the man she loves, the only man who was there for her every step of the way protecting her. How can she make him crawl.
It will be interesting to see how Arnav is going to take this forward.
