PART 10-A
A Sunday Morning
Taani opened her eyes lazily as sweet rays of the morning woke up her... She remembered about their sweet moments of the night they spend together. Different shades of red spread over her cheeks. He loved her softly very softly that made her feel so heavenly. In his every touch, every kisses there was immense love and care. He took care not to hurt her in any slightest way. In those moments he slowly made her to forget all the pain she went through. She felt blessed at that moment. She prayed to God that let their life move on like this filled with love forever. She know he love her from his heart. She looked at him, he seems so peaceful, no stress, no pain, his face shows a feel of content. She gave a sweet kiss on his forehead and her lips curved into a smile, seeing him smiling too in his sleep. She is protectively bound by his strong arms and she loves that the most... she always wished for this, to wake up in his arms and see his handsome face when she open her eyes. Without disturbing his sleep she woke up and went to fresh up covering herself with the sheet.
Rey woke up hearing his mobile ringing. First he roam his hands over the bed to feel her softness, he opened his eyes as he couldn't find her, his look over the room to see her, then as he saw their room clean, he knew she woke up early and is in her morning chores and smiled himself. She is his now completely solely and heartily, she accepted him forgave him, she is truly an angel. He was sitting dreamingly lost in their last night moments. His trance broke when his phone started to ring again that made him irritated. He took his phone and seeing the name his irritated face changed to angry one. First he thought to cut the call, but then he received it.
"What do you want now? What you had done isn't enough? For once, just atleast once, did you care? Huh?." Rey spoke aggressively over the phone. He couldn't even believe he got this call from that person who has to be with them all through those painful days, but now is too late...
"Rey, just listen to me once, plz.. Meri majboori thi, its not like what you th-." The person on the other side tried to explain him who is crying over the phone. She knows she deserve it, but still she couldn't do anything because of her situation. But here Rey is not willing to listen her.
"Shut up.. just shut up.. I don't want to hear your stupid fake reasons and excuses." Rey told her angrily.
"Rey, Plz just listen to me. My parents didn't allow me. They forcefully took me to Australia with them. I tried but.. but I couldn't do anything. Believe me Rey. I wanted to see Dev, Plz.." She said crying over the phone. She only knew how she felt when she has to be away from him in his that condition.
"No. You are not going to see him. Now, from where did this concern come from? This is enough, you didn't love him. I am not going to hear anything and I don't want to." Saying this he cut the call before she could say anything.
Taani who came with his morning coffee got tensed seeing him angry. She wonders to whom he was shouting. She thought there may be problem in office.
"Rey calm down. What happened? Why are you so angry? Is everything ok?" He turned facing her feeling her soft comforting touch on his shoulder and her sweet soothing voice. He looked at her, her eyes filled with concern. He felt blessed to have her, have this angel of love in his life. She is looking heavenly with her loose hair, a small bindi, her hazel brown eyes dipped in kajal witout any other makeup, her natural tempting pink lips and the mangalsutra that adores her neck & sindhoor in her parting hair which is the sign of her being his... only his... she was looking like a goddess in that red saree with all signs of being his... his wife... he felt so proud mentioning her as his wife... it feels so perfect... How could he hurt this angel? What he done to her is a sin. He couldn't yet forgive himself. While Taani frown seeing him lost.
"Rey.. Rey are you ok? Is there any problem? You were so angry. Who was that?" Taani asked him.
"Tara. Dev's Girlfriend." He told her.
"Dev's Girlfriend? But, why u were shouting at her?" Taani couldn't help but ask him. She till now had no idea about Dev having a girlfriend.
"She deserves it. She left Dev like that when he was lying lifeless in hospital. Never once she cared about him nor enquired about his condition. Not for atleast once she came to see him. If she really loved him will she be able to leave her love in that condition where he needs her the most. Now when it is too late she is saying she wanted to meet him. How can I allow her to meet him? But there is a thing I really wonder about, why Dev didn't even mention about Tara not for once after his recovery. As so many problems were going around I also chose to not tell him about her as I don't want to give him pain and stress telling about her, as he is just coming back to life." Rey told her. He looked at her as what she is thinking.
"Taani now tell me how can I let her meet him?" Rey asked her.
"Rey I think she may be having a valid reason. If she doesn't want to be with him then she will not call now also. Its not too late Rey. She too may be suffering while distancing herself from him.. we don't know what is her part. Y dont you give her a chance to explain. Its no harm." She said to Rey after thinking.
Rey looked at her. She is saying Right. Now again he went wrong. Everyone should be given a chance for explanation before bursting out and falling into a conclusion. That is what he learnt from his life, from his Taani, from all the pain she went through, from the pain of separation. And again now he is jumping into a conclusion without thinking and not willing to hear any explanation. He wont do a mistake like that again. If in his past whether he had given Taani a chance, then they wouldn't have went through all the pain. In all that the most suffered one is Taani. He couldn't think of what she might have been went through all those days bearing his hatred and bearing all the physical & mental pain he gave her. If he gave a chance for her then he may not have ill treated her. Thinking of his past cruel deeds, he felt ashamed of himself. Hot tears of guilt and pain filled in his eyes.
Taani got worried seeing tears in his eyes. She felt pain seeing him like this. Rey couldn't take it, he hugged her tightly. She rubbed on his back and hairs soothingly, comfortingly. After sometime she broke the hug and made him look at her.
"Rey, kya hua aapko, aap kyo ro rahe hai?" She asked him softly.
"Am sorry Taani. Am really very sorry. You are right Taani, I should give a chance to Tara. Not waiting for an explanation again am doing the same mistake that I have done to you. Am sorry Taani for all the pain I gave u. If I ever had given u just one chance to hear u, then we..., mostly you wouldn't have went through all those pain. Do you know how I wish to go back to the past, and erase all the pain u suffered and shower u all the love and happiness... Because of my deeds not only you but my baby.. our baby also got pain. I am the worst husband and worst dad." Rey told her. The pain is killing him from inside. He couldn't forgive himself. He was being a beast to her. He wanted to erase that. Now both of them are in tears. She kept her finger on his lips.
"Shh... Rey... its over... now we are not in the past. We live in a happy loving present. Lets forget it. Rey, may be if something like that never happened then.., then we may not have met. See now we are happy after that bad phase of our life. That may be hurtful and painful past, but that pain only brought us this closer... Agar dard naam ke koi cheez nahi hai toh hum zindagi mein kabhi bhi khushi mehsoos nahi kar sakta. If there is pain, then only we know what happiness is. Now see we are together, more closer, more loving. And don't you dare to say my husband is worst, he is the best and will be a best dad also." Saying this she lean on his chest. He kept his arms around her. He was feeling so complete. His pain of guilt is diminishing. He thanked god for sending this angel in his life who love him unconditionally even after receiving the pain. He promised himself he will not let a tear fall from her eyes. He will love and protect her and his baby no matter what.
"You know Taani, I always felt like you deserve someone better than me.. but even knowing that am not able to let u and my baby go away from me... I cant afford to lose you.. I promise I will not let you and my baby cry ever, I will love you both forever.. I love you Taani.." He kissed her hairs...
"I love you too Rey" Rey was elated to hear those words from her. He broke the hug and made her face him.
"Tell me once more" He whispered feeling immense happiness.
"I LOVE U REY.. And YOU ARE THE BEST HUSBAND" She said looking in his eyes. He know she always loved him deeply and completely, but hearing those three words from her, made him feel magical. His insides are bursting with happiness. They stood there like that for sometime.
"Rey" She called him.
"Hmm" He hummed to her to continue.
"Rey, tell Tara to meet u. Let us talk to her and clear everything." Taani said to him.
"As you say Sweet Heart" He smiled at her and gave sweet long kiss on her forehead.
"Mm.. Rey chalo fresh ho jao jaldi and then lets have breakfast." Saying this she started to walk, but he hold her hand and she stopped.
"Wait Sweetheart, let me talk to our baby.. my baby may be angry with me as subah hokar itna smay hua aur papa unse baat nahi kiya, so let me have some time with my baby." Saying this he knelt down and made her saree to one side reveling her stomach.
"Good Morning baby.. I know u may be angry.. sorry(holding his one ear)..you are fine na? I know u are... because u are in the world's most safest place, ie in ur mumma's womb were no one can hurt u. And when you will come na, papa will never let any harm to reach you.. papa loves u sooo much baby.. come soon baby... we are waiting..." Telling this cutely to his baby, he gave sweet kisses on her stomach. He is so thankful to her for giving him this gift of god, making him feel the pride to be a dad.
She smiled seeing his love towards their baby. She know he will be a best dad. She is feeling soo much happiness, soo much that she forget there was a terrible past to her. She love him, she start to trust him, his love, now she lives in this heavenly present, so she has to let go her past memories, how can she avoid his hard tries to win back her trust and love. She too wanted that, nothing else, Only his love, care and trust. She is getting what she wished for, a small very happy family filled with lots and lots of love...
