Hey Jen!!! Apologies for the prolonged absence of comments. AD had been quite chaotic.
Finally got some time to peacefully and properly catch up with the updates.
A significant portion of the previous chapter was covered by Khushi's mails...and gosh, I was in tears by the end of it. Her love, her faith, the pain and hurt...it's so cutting. My heart broke for her. And I felt so angry at Arnav, for his impatience, for his anger, his indifference and his unmindful cruel actions.
Even when I know Arnav's thought process, his intentions, what drove his actions, the guilt and remorse he feels, I couldn't help but blame him for his brutal behaviour. I love him but I don't like the bitter person his anger and pride had turned him into.
I loved Khushi's letters. I guess it helped me understand some of her earlier actions and insecurities a little better. They explain a lot of what she should have said in person to him but couldn't. She took the initiative and laid her heart bare for him. And even though it led to heartbreak (albeit temporary I hope), I'm glad and proud that she did it. I'm proud that she took a stand and decided to move out of her house. She took her time, but did everything she could to the right things, as she sees it.
Her despair and hopelessness, in the letters and in her time in Allahabad is painful to witness. She has been through hell really. But, hopefully it will end soon.
On the other hand, Arnav's remorse, guilt and his compulsive need to make things right give me a perverse pleasure and a sense of peace I guess, that eventually, he will make his way back to her.
Oh and can I reiterate, I totally adore Anita. She's a sweetheart. Her strength and resilience are amazing. Aman is too blinded by his attraction/feelings for Khushi to notice this gem. I hope this wedding forms the setting for more than one love story 😉
I'm really looking forward to the chapters ahead!!!
P.S. What are these worries I read about... story being too long et al. Please do not worry about all that. No one is getting tired at all. We love Drs. G and R. We love SF. We love you. I'm hoping for a century, personally 😉😆
